- Ever since we tore down part of our fence to make room for our new shop we have been trying to find the time to build a new one. We eventually decided to pay our nephew to do the new section and we would repair the existing fence. Will it keeps the goats, donkeys, and pigs in? Let's find out.

Growing up on a farm. All the farmers would always say, If you own goats, no matter what you do to contain them, when you come home one day, you will have a goat in the driveway. Ty for taking us along

Goats are a pain on a good day. If they want out, they will find a way. They are determined and smart. I watched them pile stuff up so they could jump over the fence. Good luck keeping them in.
My grandpa used to always say "i had a billy goat and his name was jack, i put him in the stable and he jumped through a crack."

Seeing murphy running through the water was so priceless.
I heard a story where a person has railroad rails in their backyard, and they used an old car, like a model t and tied them underneath to get them home. This happened when the model t was a much newer car. Why they have rails in the yard is not known, but it makes a great story.
On your next road trip find a TexasRoadhouse. They have the best sweet tea ever. We usually get them to just leave a pitcher full on the table.
Animal proof your fence. Even if your fence is higher, Get 4' tall - 2x4 Welded Wire Fencing and place half on the ground and the other two feet half way up the fence, two feet high in a L shape. When they try to go under, the fence laying on the ground keeps 'em in! Eventually the grass grows through the fence on the ground and you don't see it. It works! Hello from Tulsa (Waves)

We raised cows when I was a kid on our mini ranch it's probably about the same size as yours. My dad quit buying steers and started buying heifers because the steers would get out try and go mate with the heifers down the road cuz even though they don't got no you know what they still want to do it you know what I mean. My job was to stand in front of the hole in the fence that they made and jump up and down with my arms and yell hahaha to get them to turn in the hole. It worked every time but I always made sure I did it by a bush or a tree so I wouldn't get trampled I could jump behind the bush or tree right when the cows went in. Love y'all's videos and y'all. You have to put those Pamela on the inside of those fence posts. Guard will push up against those panels and push them down. You need to change that.

So far I've got @ 1200 in mine. It's 3 rolls of 5ft chainlink and the 2.5in posts. Ill end up getting 2 more 50ft rolls, the posts, and the double gate after we get the 20x30 shop built. The original plan was to have a wooden fence, but the way my bank account is set up..... lol

I worked for a building supply company and we had a guy come in driving Mercedes and bought ten 12ft 2x6's. He opened his sun roof, stuck the lumber thru the sun roof with the ends in the passenger side front floor board. the lumber was sticking up in the air 6 or 7 feet. Can you imagine hauling lumber that way in a $75,000 car?

We are having a Sleeperdude vacation in pigeon forge!!!!!. Did Titanic this morning. Ate at Applewood (told them it was because of you). Did some retail therapy at outlet mall. Lol. Got hot Krispy Kreme's last night and they were FREE. Doing sandwiches in room. Going to the knife store tomorrow. Lady at Titanic told me it was Rod Run weekend but she is off by a week. Lol😂

Love all the family helping out with the cars and stuff but my heart melts when you do the family all working together on the property it's nice to see because you can see in their actions and reactions that they all love it hard work and dirt it's the American way it's really the only way this country is going to survive

@@sleeperdude2690 When my wife and I started dating nearly 40 years ago, her parents had Angora goats (Mohair goats). 🐐 We were constantly going to bring them home from some poor neighbors garden or flower garden. We’d haul them back in my mother-in-laws Fairmount wagon. If you tried to use the pickup, they’d jump out. My father-in-law always said, you couldn’t run them off with a shotgun, but you can’t keep them in either. They had probably 50 of them.

Your videos never disappoint we had goats and donkeys here on the property when my Dad was alive...we had a Nubian cross goats and they seemed to be looking for was to get through the fences...our Alpha male Ricky would destroy gates and 5" posts...kept me busy every day...seeing you with your goats brought back some great memories.
