Buy rare toy cars at Amazon amzn.to/2ongzcB This is the second video of cars you didn't know existed. this time all video and no pictures. enjoy and comment. please subscribe
Seen most of these. Still, after all these years impressed with the Tucker. Gorgeous. Have been honored to see one in person in a Las Vegas auto museum.
I have a book of weird cars! Four of the cars in this video were inside of it, those being the Phantom Corsair, Stout Scarab, Lambo LM002 and Bricklin SV-1! All of the cars are awesome! Love it!
I knew of many of them. My thanks to Colatteral coffee for Identifying them. Some old Calif sports racing cars and many foreign ( to USA ) would be unknown to me. I'd never seen videos of most of the cars in motion. Thanks for doing this video. I'll bet most 20 year olds won't recognise an XKE.
Technical specifications[edit] Power came from a 360 cu in (5,899 cc) AMC 360 V8 for 1974. Later cars used a 351 cu in (5,752 cc) Ford Windsor V8. Performance figures rated favorably against the contemporary Corvette, which most auto magazines used as a point of comparison.[6][7] The front suspension used A-arms and coil springs, while the rear used leaf springs on a live axle. For the 1974 model year, 772 cars were produced, 137 of which had four-speed manual transmissions. All 1975 and 1976 cars had automatic transmissions. In 1974 potential owners were given a choice of transmission and color whereas in 1975 there was only a choice of color. In an attempt to reduce production costs, Bricklin attempted to bond fibreglass to acrylic plastic-something the plastics industry had not perfected at the time-resulting in a high failure rate and high production costs (some panels cracked while still in their molds). Cars also tended to overheat due to using a single radiator opening in the 1974 model. Doubling the size of the opening failed to solve the problem. Running examples today generally feature a retrofitted larger radiator. It soon became obvious that Bricklin's claims of a "high performance safety car" were not realized in the production models. It is believed that fewer than 1120 Bricklin cars still exist.[8] 1976 models[edit] After the Bricklin manufacturer's receivership, George Byers and Sol Shenk of Consolidated Motors, an automotive liquidator from Columbus, Ohio, purchased the majority of the parts and remaining cars left on the line. These cars surfaced later, completely assembled from left-over parts, and were sold as 1976 models.
It must be at least 25 yrs that ive been wondering about and trying to find this one movie... and you guys helped me find it with this one video. The movie (I've just discovered) is called 'The Young in Heart' and the Phantom Corsair is featured. Thank you.
I know most of these cars. Some are custom jobs and one-offs, others are cars that are/were well-known. Francis Ford Coppola even made a movie about Tucker and his car. Everybody that saw the Lamborghini LM002 never forgot it, ever. It really stands out from the rest. The Vector was always an amateur job nobody wanted to buy, but for some reason the myth of it still persist to this day. Most of his cars were built out of scrap and surplus parts taken from production automobiles.
Another nice one. Very cool to see that EB112 ride around. All I ever had was one picture in a car book. That blue Bugatti proto is very beautiful as well.
Short instruction for haters: 1. Turn off the volume of this video. Stop this video currently. 2. Open a new tab and go on RUclips. (...by rightcklicking on the RUclips-logo and choosing the function "Open in a new tab" or just by klicking with the scrollwheel on it.) 3. Activate the cursor in the searchbar and search for your liked title. 4. Choose your favourite title and turn up the volume, because the RUclips-system noticed, you turned it down previously. 5. Let your favourite title play in the background loud, while this video is running in the frontground silently. 6. Enjoy and don't give a f**k. Personal experience: "WOW! It really works, since I tried it, I stopped beeing annoying; I stopped post annoying comments about music, that I don't like. Stopped annoy people about their liked music and I stopped recieving annoying answers on my annoying comments about annoying music.
The Tucker '48 Sedan is the "Tucker Torpedo" with a flat six cylinder engine. It was designed by Alex Tremulis and 51 were produced by visionary Preston Tucker before money and legal problems halted production.
The Bricklin SV-1 was a gull-wing door sports car assembled in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. The body panels were manufactured in a separate plant in Minto, New Brunswick. Manufactured from 1974 until early 1976 for the U.S. market, the car was the creation of Malcolm Bricklin, an American millionaire who had previously founded Subaru of America. The car was designed by Herb Grasse.[1] Due to Bricklin's lack of experience in the auto industry, coupled with the funding problems,[2] the Bricklin factory was not able to produce vehicles fast enough to make a profit. As a result, only 2,854 cars were built before the company went into receivership, owing the New Brunswick government $23 million. The model name (SV-1), stood for "safety vehicle one".[citation needed] The original idea for the Bricklin SV-1 was a safe and economical sports car, but due to the added weight of the safety features, the car was inefficient and simply a safe sports car.[citation needed] The Bricklin was designed for safety with an integrated roll cage, 5 mph (8.0 km/h) bumpers, and side beams.[citation needed] The body was fibreglass with bonded acrylic in five "safety" colours: white, red, green, orange and suntan.[citation needed] The cars had no cigarette lighter or ashtray.[3] Non-smoker Malcolm Bricklin believed it was unsafe to smoke and drive. The Bricklin is the only[citation needed] production vehicle in automotive history to have powered gull-wing doors, that opened and closed at the touch of a button, as standard equipment. The later DeLorean DMC-12's gull-wing doors operate manually. The first Bricklin concept car, latter dubbed Grey Ghost, was built by Bruce Meyers of Meyers Manx dune buggy fame in California. Its initial powerplant was a Valiant Slant Six.[4]
A lot of these are one-off customs, prototypes and concept cars. The only ones that entered serial production are the LM002 and Bricklin. The Stout Scarab, Vector and Tucker could also be considered production cars, but less than 50 of each were built.
I am sure you are very clever naming the cars and describing them, I could have done exactly the same, however, I would rather say thanks for the post it's actually a nice film and I am sure most people will do well to recognise a lot of these cars, God I wish they had produced the Chiron!
Grant .Pantling I had a talk with a fellow that I know, he has got 8 BMW`s (collector you might say) Z8, 2002, 635, M5, 850 and some more. He told me there was one or two here in Norway.
So one is a custom built limo based on a Ferrari 360. Two is an experiment of BMW M GmbH, turning the M5 into a vert. Three is the Phantom Corsair. No biggie. A Stout. Woohoo. Go on? The Bugatti Eb112 prototype. There were more, like tha Galibier. The W8 was a production car. Small numbers, true, but produced in numbers. The display is from an M1 tank. The Lambo LM002 started out as a prototype for an army jeep. Had a manual gearbox and the engine of the Countach. The Chiron was a Bugatti prototype with a W18, and the next Bugatti seems to be called that, too. The Exelero was a one-off Maybach produced for Fulda tires in Germany. The Bricklin is a Windsor-powered Canadian car, the only ever with electric gullwing doors as standard. The Tucker is an American legend, but nothing superspecial. Six exhaust pipes. First car with safety belts. So, where are the cars we do not know existed??
Yeah pretty well known cars on this list. I didn't know that a e34 convertible existed, but the Tucker is a horrid car, the technical advancement of belts is the only thing it is noteworthy for.
Alexa NkovicMile SOOOO wrong on that bud. The Tucker had crumple zones, a reinforced passenger compartment, pop away glass, better suspension than other cars of the day, better engine performance, the third headlight that turned with the car for better visibility around turns, and veterans of WW2 were given first dibs(part of why it failed).
I knew about half of these... the Tucker is especially interesting because of its history - there's even a movie about it. I had a Hotwheels car of the Vector when I was a kid. Never heard of that Phantom though - and I can see why - visibility is lethal in that thing.
Should have been named cars you didnt care existed. I was hoping for more rare vehicles built back in the 1910s-1950s by some unknown car company that just didnt make it-faded into history. Now that would spark my interest.
More like "Cars you may not know ever existed." I've heard of most of them. Saw a Phantom Corsair years ago at the Harris Auto Museum in Sparks, Nevada. They may have had a Stout Scarab as well. Stout was an aircraft company. As I recall, Ford bought him out. The Scarab was powered by a flathead V-8. I've seen a few Brinklins and everyone who say the movie knows about Tucker.
i actually expected cars i didn't know existed, i knew about all of these except the first BMW. only reason i didn't know about it was because i don't like bmw only reason i knew about the stout and phantom though were because of LA Noire. but the tucker, really. They have a freaking movie about it that they play in a lot of economics classes.
I believe the Lamborghini LM002 had a Diablo V12, but it was by no means fast! I was aware of the vector and the Maybach too. I liked the Bugatti EB112 being driven in Monaco, very regal. I was interested by the E34 m5 cab, thats the kind of very rare version of a normal production car that I find the coolest.
most of those cars I already knew existed. They are just rare
that soundtrack should be sent in the flames of Hades for eternity.
Enjoy the videos. However, where do people get the idea you know how to put music behind anything. It was loud noisy inappropriate
Phantom Corsair, that looks sexy
That Vector at 2:20 probably gets mistaken for a Lamborghini a lot...
I think the Ferrari limo shouldn't count. Anyone can do that...with anything.
Conversely, the Corsair? Absolutely yes.
Love the 1938 phantom corsair. I believe that car was built on a cord 810 platform.
My favorite: The Phantom Corsair! What a strange creature it is.
I love the Vector that's so awesome.
Seen most of these. Still, after all these years impressed with the Tucker. Gorgeous. Have been honored to see one in person in a Las Vegas auto museum.
How could anyone into cars not have already seen the vast majority of these? Music is a bit much...
The Lambo Lm 002 was built nearly 800 times and have been quite common in the gulf-states...
I have a book of weird cars! Four of the cars in this video were inside of it, those being the Phantom Corsair, Stout Scarab, Lambo LM002 and Bricklin SV-1! All of the cars are awesome! Love it!
the Phantom Corsair was a car featured in Mafia I.
Phantom Corsair was in extreme drive in Mafia 1 ;)
I knew of many of them. My thanks to Colatteral coffee for Identifying them. Some old Calif sports racing cars and many foreign ( to USA ) would be unknown to me. I'd never seen videos of most of the cars in motion. Thanks for doing this video. I'll bet most 20 year olds won't recognise an XKE.
Oh, wow. Phantom Corsair--I WANT ONE!!!!! The car that should have been included is definitely the Chrysler Turbine.

Awesome video! I love the Bugatti Chiron, the Lambo LM002, actually, every car in this vid. That Ferrari Limo looked so cool.
Oh and a few of these cars are in my book of weird cars. I recognized them right away.

Phantom corsair is so awesome... Futuristicy.
1:26 MAFIA special car!!!!
Another nice one. Very cool to see that EB112 ride around. All I ever had was one picture in a car book. That blue Bugatti proto is very beautiful as well.
Guess I'm a major car enthusiast, I've seen all of these before.
I have heard and seen most of them in books and in photos thank you for the post
Hey every motoring enthusiast knows about the Lamborghini LM002, the Maybach Exelero, Bricklin SV1 and the Tucker Torpedo.
The 1938 Phantom Corsair is my favorite car from the 1930s

The Tucker '48 Sedan is the "Tucker Torpedo" with a flat six cylinder engine. It was designed by Alex Tremulis and 51 were produced by visionary Preston Tucker before money and legal problems halted production.
I have been a huge fan of the Tucker. Got to see Mrs. Tucker's personal one in a museum in South Dakota.

People that love cars, Knew the Vector W8 ,the car looked liked it would get off the ground…but failed…great car sleek & fast.
ive heard of the lm002 eb112 W8 and the Chiron. The rest I didn't know. Nice video slideshow and music

Siempre quedará tecnología e ingeniería que nos sorprenda... Bien por diseño, bien por mecánica,...
Big improvement from the last one. Great job bud.
The Vector is a beauty.
Luv that Phantom Corsair, I want it.
The 1938 Phantom Corsair took my breath away.
Awesome cars....
I am sure you are very clever naming the cars and describing them, I could have done exactly the same, however, I would rather say thanks for the post it's actually a nice film and I am sure most people will do well to recognise a lot of these cars, God I wish they had produced the Chiron!
I remember seeing a Bricklin in a shopping mall parking lot in the LA area in the late 80's.
The Phantom's the only one I had not heard of, but the list was Good.
Knew all of them except the Camaro Limousine thing. Good video
One day I hope my creation sees the streets in all its glory.
I recognized every single one of these cars except the bugattis and the trucker sedan. I had no clue those existed.
thanks good soundtrack
BMW E34 Convertible 87-96!!!! Pretty standard car, see one every other day.
pete lund Take a picture please. This one is the only one. you might be thinking about the e30 convertible.
pete lund Yes, you are right and the the M3 convertible is also more commond.
pete lund Its not just an e34. Its a 2-door M5! Thats INSANE. Those for sure never came to the US.
Grant .Pantling I had a talk with a fellow that I know, he has got 8 BMW`s (collector you might say) Z8, 2002, 635, M5, 850 and some more. He told me there was one or two here in Norway.
Awesome video and great cars. A thumbs up for you.
God bless the mute button
Wanted a Vector since the 80's. Love Hudson cars too.
Who has not heard of the Tucker? They made a major motion picture about the car.
Bellos autos todos merci Rudy Díaz
I knew about the maybach, its also the most expensive car at 8 million.
sorry but the ferrari 250 gto tops the charts of most expensive cars :)

Collateralcoffee Thank you, I thought the same thing throughout
I guess it's easier seeing the author named the cars. Would you recognise a Bolwell Nagari, for example, if I had not named it?
Jeff H Haha well said sir!
The music. Change please.
I knew about half of these... the Tucker is especially interesting because of its history - there's even a movie about it. I had a Hotwheels car of the Vector when I was a kid. Never heard of that Phantom though - and I can see why - visibility is lethal in that thing.
It looks to me like a 30's-style Batmobile.
OK, that Phantom Corsair was just too much! Looks like a vintage Batmobile.
enjoyed the music a lot - who is it ?
The Scout Scarab…the world's first people carrier!
Pretty sure most people knew about the LM002. cool video none the less
The BMW E34 convertible... why isnt this car brought to production!? this is one beautiful car!
Don't know but i like the music :D, how is it called?
That Lambo looks like the H2 Hummer!
When you wanted to say you knew them all but you watch the video and discovered you didn't know any of them... #TheStruggleIsReal
The Tucker should have been a hit. But the big 3, destroyed Tuckers hopes and dreams.
Love the California Vector. It still looks fresh. The music is hideous though!
PERSONALLY I FAVORED THAT STOUT SCARAB MOST...
Wow that was a Tucker.
i watched a movie on the tucker very cool design to start but ended up being that
Should have been named cars you didnt care existed. I was hoping for more rare vehicles built back in the 1910s-1950s by some unknown car company that just didnt make it-faded into history. Now that would spark my interest.
I saw a Mustang 5.0 Limo in my area last year.
More like "Cars you may not know ever existed." I've heard of most of them. Saw a Phantom Corsair years ago at the Harris Auto Museum in Sparks, Nevada. They may have had a Stout Scarab as well. That ferrari limo would be perfect for proms!!
I knew five of them. But still helpful.
"I'm Sorry I'm Afraid You Guys Just Too Darn Loud. Next!"
Huey Lewis-Back To The Future (1985)
awesome
awesome
Woohoo I knew most all of these! Actually I've seen a bricklin, W8, and a Vector W12 or M12 whatever the newer diabloish one was
The Vector was awesome and stretching the Ferrari was a huge sin. LOL
i actually expected cars i didn't know existed, i knew about all of these except the first BMW. only reason i didn't know about it was because i don't like bmw
only reason i knew about the stout and phantom though were because of LA Noire.
but the tucker, really. They have a freaking movie about it that they play in a lot of economics classes.
Gorgeous car that vector w8
I've seen the Lamborghini lm100 in a car store and the maybach exelero is 8,000,000 dollars and the rest are just super rare.
3:15 my neighbor in Virginia had an LM002. V-12 engine with three carburetors, as I recall. What a nightmare! He did not take care of it either.
That bricklin sv-1 is like a cross between an old corvette and a delorean lol
Those cars are cool
Everybody has heard of the Tucker; it is one of the most famous American cars of all time!
The Briklin is from 35 years ago. The one I saw, and I believe they all were, powered with a Ford 429.
Omg!!! The phantom comes out in the mafia 1 game!! I never new it existed *-*
The SUV at 3:15 is a Lamborghini LM 002. And the Bugatti EB112 is actually a VERY known car.
I have seen the Vector W8 Prototype #6 at an autoshow once.
Those Bugattis were a surprise.
Check your RUclips Inbox under Community!~XD
Okay, I'll try.
No idea what you're talking about. Google+ sucks. I'm updating my profile and searching...Google+ sucks
Wha..? Can you use your RUclips account? Ah fuck it, call me at 404-565-4436, leave a contact # I'll call you back.
the last one is in mafia 2 :D
it'd be great to include some in race games, though... even if not for the speed, just for looks.
Instead of dumb music it would have been nice to hear the cars.
Me and my friend knew all of the cars except for like 2 of them!!!!! : )
Wow, out of all the cars in this video, im only familiar with 3
