Great show George! This is really important to know because colorization of these old photos creates a really nice upgrade but as you say, "Can take quite a bit of time". I think this is one of the real game changers in the photography world. Thank you for showcasing these and other AI tools!

Thanks Rich! I'm not too impressed with most AI, a lot of the sites I checked looked just like the PSE colorize tool, but Kolorize.cc knocks it out of the park. Very impressive. For the thumbnail I gave it a little bit more contrast and a bit more saturation and it looks great.

Thanks George. I use Photoshop 2024 to colourise. When it doesn't look right, I touch it up with PS and/or LR. I do this by desaturating parts/areas & then colourise using the Brush tool & a selected colour. Thanks.

Good technique, of course you can do the desaturating and brush colorizing right inside of PSE to save you from changing programs.

I totally agree with Kolorize. But, the skin is also smoothed and you look younger. It is a beauty retouch too. You have to know this.

Sorry, but there is NO skin smoothing or beauty retouching with Kolorize. I have very carefully compared before and after photos I used in this video and only the color is changing. No retouching, that I do know. If you use the before and after preview button on the Kolorize site it can look like they sharpened up the image a bit, but that is simply because the before image has been lowered in sharpness on their site, probably to make the preview look better. When you compare the actual uploaded image to the downloaded colorized version they are both at the same level of sharpness with no retouching, just the added color. Like I always do, I show actual results in all of my videos, and if something doesn't work well it gives me a chance to call them out, like I do with the PSE colorize tool in this video.
