@@ResiRilla26 old school is definitely 2 for sure I'm a big fan of 4 and I really enjoyed playing 5 co op with my brother but I realise it's not a great solo experience
@ultrastrife yeah I agree 5 is good co-op but not solo haha. And yeah 2 og would be my all time favourite 4 is amazing also. I love og 3 aswell and RE1 Remake
@@ultrastrife yeah same I liked them and 3 was disappointing but there's something about the remakes I don't like bar re1 can't put my finger on it what it is haha
Yeah that would be great but for some reason on the dreamcast port I like that there's no music as it it ramps up the atmosphere it's a big change bit would be great if we could turn it back on also
Dude, I'm a HUGE fan of Resident Evil (played the first one on "my" PSX when I was 6 or 7 years old) and I'm today years old when I became aware that ex Battle is in all those versions of the game, I was completely convinced that it was exclusive to the N64 port, I would bet that I read it or seem it somewhere at some point in time. Anyway, good video, greetings from Barcelona, Spain.
@jaimeabadrodriguez1428 Wow, such an amazing comment, my friend. I'm glad you liked the video. And im the same since young I absolutely loved resident evil. I think you're right mayne it was exclusively n64, but i think they made some changes. I'm irish and was recently in Spain 🇪🇸 for my holidays beautiful country and congratulations on the 4-1 win against bayern 👏
this is great! its incredible to me that despite being half the size of a PS1 disc, the GC discs could fit double what a PS1 discs could. amazing they fit it all on one disc
Nintendo compressed the hell out of it but depending your taste some liked the look more however the sound took a dip. Speaking on the n64 version. It actually smoothed out the pixels on the characters. Some noticeable differences was the red bricked buildings in Racoon City between start of the game to rpd went from a brick red color to a brownish color. But regardless the game is still beautiful in memory and nostalgia hits when i see those prerendered backgrounds. Especially re3 nemesis 99
i remember this N64 game, it scared the living daylights out of me in 2000, plus i had no idea how to play it. but afterwards i got used to it. it's because of this game. i became a big fan of Silent Hill, Dead Space franchise, Slender the Arrival, Siren, other Resident Evil games and the Resistance trilogy (PS3 games).
@skyrimwarrior he'll yes live it and yeah the n64 version with the bad voice sound effects gives it more of a kick I think haha and them other games you've mentioned are amazing
Don't feel bad mate...I got part 1 in 96 couldn't beat it...got part 2 in 98 barely lasted past the first licker....part 3 came in 99 and I begged my parents for a GameShark and I beat all 3 finally in spring 2000...a 4 year journey...in the mean time I read the novels just so I knew what was going on in the story...yes I cheated with game shark but I loved those games so much I seen every scenario every ending every choice difference in nemesis and I fell in love even more...now in my late 30s I constantly play them without cheats and the love is still there.
I think some of the later ntsc ports not having everything unlocked and also the enemies/ammo regional differences stem from japan trying to make the games less blockbuster friendly. This was stated as a reason for the first port of the first re1 og not having auto aim of any kind even tho the Japanese one did, it wasn’t till the second port we had auto aim.
Wow, that's amazing. I didn't know that I've always wondered why they made the Japanese ones easier. Also, I don't know if it's true, but apparently, the USA copy of re3 nemesis is the hardest as nemesis runs faster in it
Resident Evil 2 is one of my favorite games to play and I play both the OG and Remake on occasion, I grew up with the PS1 version of RE2, I still have my copy of the game somewhere in my box of PS2/PS1 games. My case for RE2 I remember has that little Ad ribbon at one of the corners talking about "Winning a part in the movie" because at the time that's when Resident Evil was being thrown around from director to director till it went to Paul Anderson.
@Slappy985 wow slappy that's amazing you'll definitely need to dig it out. And Re2 is my favourite game that and re3 ogs. I do love Re2 remake but it lacks something for me I can't put my finger on but regardless it's an amazing game. I grew up with the ps1 also haha we're most likely around the same age.
@@ResiRilla26 I was exposed to RE2 in middle school so it was the late 2000's early 2010's. My first resident evil that I didn't get to play much of because "responsible parents" was 3 Nemesis in I think 05, then a couple years later in the mid 2000s RE4 was a game I played and beat to completion on the PS2. Then I got hand me downs from one of my late uncles in 2014, and RE2 was one out of a bunch of cool games I got and played the hell out of.
I did get to play and beat RE3 Nemesis when I was out of High School loved that game, I played the remake at a friends place and..... in my opinion that game was just massively disrespectful to its predecessor. Took far too many creative liberties to the point that it wasn't even the same game anymore.
@Slappy985 that's a great story Slappy you're uncle must of been like I can't wait to give him the games so he can enjoy them. Ok scratch that haha I was born in 1993 😅😅 at the moment I'm playing through re2 nightmare mode finished it last night Leon A video is out later today. But I also started Claire B & on nightmare mode it's 10 times harder then Leon's because no shotgun to take down the zombies quick handgun can take up to 38 rounds for 1 zombie 😅😅. But that's an amazing story and great memories of how you got into ResidentEvil
I wish there was a hacked RE2 rom for the dreamcast that restored the missing soundtracks and put the uncensored player death scenes back in it. Oh well, I guess.
Loik an subscroibe! Alright you got me. Edit: Well you say tree instead of three and now I must take my leave. Still thank you for making RE2 content in this day and age.
