      Actually, her insurance paid her off and covered the court costs. So she’s certainly not been “sued out of existence”.
      But she absolutely should be sentenced to spending the entirety of the rest of her existence in incarceration. She’s about as villainous and scummy as people come.

    I am a female. I am also a die hard insane baseball fan, and even more so diehard dodgers fan. When this first came out my initial thoughts were I’m not believing a word of some random female pick me. I loved Bauer as a Dodger and was so excited to see our team gain him as a pitcher. For him to be falsely accused, ruin his career that he eats, breathes and loves. I have no words for what he must have been going through. Knowing he is innocent while this disgusting “women” goes unscathed and more importantly not charged with a crime. Un fucking believable.

      yall didnt think anything was fishy months ago when it was made public she was denied a restraining order due to her texts showing she asked for everything she got and went back for seconds. people thinking he was guilty are idiots entirely. it was even public when the news first broke that she had been trying to slide into other mlb players dms. tatis was one of them. gold diggers should have been aborted or swallowed, not conceived.

    This won't be controversial at all.
    As a law student, I got curious at one point and did some looking into the Bauer cases (just publicly available pleadings and whatnot, nothing fancy) and was immediately skeptical. I'm glad its been cleared up, and am sorry for Trevor that he has lost these years of his career.

    The interesting thing is Japan absolutely loves Trevor Bauer. Not just as a pitcher and youtuber, but also as a person. Contrary to the pre-season reputations, he's been super respectful towards Japan in general and he's possibly the most enthusiastic player in the Baystars. His attitude and fan service towards the people are awesome, and we want him to stay for as long as possible. In any case, we're glad he was able to somewhat clear his name.

      I don’t know about being super respectful - there was that teammate of his who publicly stated he didn’t like Bauer doing the Sword and wanting fans to do it with him. I’m sure they cleared things up afterward but I still think he is a jerk, even if he’s generally good-natured most times. And I would be concerned if he isn’t being a jerk, because that attitude of his reflects in his pitching and preparation- and if he isn’t being a jerk then he likely should be going to retirement to be a full time RUclipsr.

      You are right she should be jailed, not sued. it’s disgusting that Trevor was blackballed because of the accusations, while guys with publicly witnessed assaults get suspended and go back to playing in the majors. It isn’t because of morals or the severity of the accusations; it’s because Bauer was affecting the MLB brand and bottom line when he became vocal about sticky stuff. When the accusations came out, MLB had a reason to get rid of him that was nearly impossible to argue against in our current social climate.
      Women who are worried that they won’t be believed are less likely to report incidents of assault. This woman and anyone who contributes to that fear of seeking justice with false accusations should face criminal charges.

    Also, this all started because Bauer talked shit to Ken Rosenthal, who “as a sports journalist” actively wrote to the DA’s office to try and convince them not to drop the charges against Bauer. Rosenthal is the reason this escalated like it did. Rosenthal is also the one who knew the Astros cheated in 2017 yet held the story til 2 weeks after the 2019 World Series. It wa Manfred’s old dopey ass, Bauer had been dunking on him for years. It wasn’t til Bauer called out the exploitative “journalism”
    Of Rosenthal who never parroted Bauer’s call for upholding the rules of sticky stuff for pitchers, and when his decade long campaign failed he decided he could do it too. So he did, and he got paid…

She's the one that hooked us up and clearly knew I was the one being pursued and even she was questioning me. The girl stopped once I pointed out that she was sleeping with a different guy six days later but the damage had been done. That rumor would follow me for at least a year and even when I was out I was questioning if people were talking about me. Really killed my confidence.

They are civil fillings that have the weight of criminal law and yet they dont require PC... They are very dangerous and easliy misused and abused by those with no sense of shame or justice ...     If one read up on Bauer's case it was extremely obvious that he was harshly and unjustly painted in a bad light due to the social climate of America at the time. Not only was he bound to lose in the court of public opinion but no one in the league was gonna stick up for him either. Unfortunately he rubbed too many players in the wrong way due to his extreme competitiveness and antics but even worse he called out MLB on it allowing pitchers to cheat.

It was easy to see early on, his beef with Manfred was the main reason mlb gave him a huge suspension.     Am I a huge fan of Bauer? No. But I admire how smart and analytical he is about the way he plays and how passionate he is. He's made mistakes. But who hasn't? Mistakes that should have gotten him booted from MLB? No and baseball isn't lost without him, but still missing out on a great pitcher. With him being so open about what he didn't like about MLB it felt like an interesting coincidence that this all happened to him during his highest point. A conspiracy we will probably never know if true or not.

    Everybody owes that boy a huge apology. I never stopped being a fan or doubted him. I've been watching his career in Japan and trying to support him as much as possible. There is no way he could have done the things they said without filing charges and following it through. He was just not the most popular player with the league and his team. Outspoken I believe one would say. But the fact is most of the things he said were true. He trained differently so the training staff hated him. He but the fact that you rub people the wrong way doesn't mean you should be hung out to dry. By the league and the union. Then the MLB basically blackballed him and no other team touched him which would have been impossible with the lack of elite pitching up for hire in the league and the desperation of teams.       I think he will be back in the MLB within the next year or two, with someone. He was luckily able to get a contract with an NPB team, which is a really good and respected league (the #2 league in the world). He may be an asshole, but this evidence shows he is likely not a rapist or abuser. His life was fucked up by a liar but I think he will ultimately rebound to some extent.

    Will he have the chance to recoup what he lost from his suspension? I would think that he should be able to make his appeal again, given this evidence. He lost close to $40 million from those 2 seasons. That’s what the basis for a suit would be, I would guess.
