September! Tomato Canning Time

  • I wanted to post a new video of our trip to the farmer's market stand and to show some of the tomato canning I do every late September or early October. It's 2 full evenings of work to peel, chop and crush the tomatoes for my canning jars, but they make my winter soups, stews and chili so bright and tasty, it's worth the work!

    The canning supplies were initial a big investment, but they can be reused each year. I only have to purchase new lids and then sterilize my jars. I hope you enjoy visiting the farm with me. Thank you for watching!

    This is very cool. Fresh canned tomatoes are so much better than store-bought.
