TWRP has the most talented bass player I know nothing about. I came here from NSP. I was amazed to find the bass player is laying back on some of their tracks and really letting his mane down here :)
and his name is Commander Meouch.
I know this is an old comment, but Meouch is incredible live. I've seen TWRP live 3 times in the front row and I honestly couldn't pull my eyes away from his playing. He's mesmerizing.
Oh hell yeah. Commander Meouch is the shit, man. It's breathtaking to watch him play bass like that. Crazy talented dude. Slap bass is not an easy thing, especially how fast he does it.
I couldn't listen to the radio for a long time after my first TWRP concert. No one plays bass like this anymore and I can't get enough of it.
Are you joking me??? He's really REALLY good. My old friend Josh Auer would beg to differ. Matt Freeman from Rancid and Jean Baudin from Nuclear Rabbit would also like a word. These guys are akin to ELO. If you don't know Jeff Lynn, I don't want to know you.
Note to self: Take a vacation to Ladyworld someday
Lazy Carl bro. They’re talking about earth.
We're already there, bro. Woah.
i assumes it was a different planet cuz the lyrics are about every1 being treated equally and not having to deal with poverty or wealth. which obviously is an issue on earth still
You’re here bro 🤩
In order to do that, you must find your inner vibe and synchronize with it to create your cross-dimensional portal to ladyworld
Ladyworld may have the best groove, but Body Image is the most heartfelt on the track. They're all mad funky though.
listening to them live is really awesome and I highly recommend it. Love how the overture and Built 4 Love tie the album together with similar themes.
I really wish i could see them live at some point, but the only close city is toronto since i live close to montreal. :(
@@eeyoreyeen they're gonna be in toronto in The Opera House on the 31st
i've probably listened to this album like 20 times through i love it so much!! i've just recently started listening to TWRP and i really latched on to this band. i love the positive messages this album gives!!! and with a funky beat too!!
Body Image is everything
You know it’s an awesome album when you love every song in it and listen to it on repeat 😀
I would like to thank you for posting this video. This was how I listened to this entire album/EP back in the day. While I was going through TWRP's songs on iTunes to purchase, I decided that instead of cherry-picking the tunes from Ladyworld, the entire EP was worth the purchase. If it wasn't for you, I might have missed out on some great songs.
FOOD BAR without the accompanying music video has less of a kick to it. Seeing the white nerdy guy become a funk master really adds to it
Pro Tip: If you feel like that next time, imagine that you ARE the nerdy white guy becoming the funk master. It helps.
Lazy Carl Or just work out its what i do while listening to it
Lazy Carl that’s why it’s an album and not s music video. Stop complaining and just enjoy it
@@SOMEGUYONU2B I feel the opposite because I saw it live first and only saw the video after several listens to this album. I will always associate the song with him throwing a granola bar into the crowd xd
FOOD BAR is an amazing song on its own.
Since I don't see anyone else mentioning it:
The Japanese in the title translates to Mother Earth.
this is my favorite albums in recent times it's got a positivity that makes your foot stomp and face smile
I'd like to think that Space Dandy is cranking this up on the ship. To his crew mates' annoyance.
he would 100% listen to Atomic Karate, it's too bad the show is over 😭
This band has me so inspired artistically tbh
The music in Overture is playing in the background of the end of Built 4 Love. Gotta love symmetry.
I forgot Arin voices really good shit until that thanks
Gabriel Novak You should watch one of Arin's voice acting compilation clips then.
I love all the songs TWRP does with NSP, i wish they'd just do a whole album of Dani doing vocals for TWRP music (the cover albums are fine but I like both bands for their original music)
You have given me true happiness, I love you and thank you.
TWRP has cured my depression
Almost forgot to listen to this today!
Happy late earth day!
edit: also happy earth day 2020!
edit: happy earth day 2021!! wow, I really didn't expect covid to go on another year, yet here we are.
Ladyword is my kind of place!
The first time I heard the album only a few songs struck me as good the rest were meh. I was pretty let down cause i love this band so much...
.Trust me give this album A CHANCE after a few times it became my favorite album by them, each song fits so well and i havent yet listened to this album without smiling :^)
Agreed!! I was also pretty indifferent to this, but I have warmed up to it.
Well, except food bar, I'm still kind of not to thrilled about it because it kind of kills the mood the album had up to that point. It clashes with it so wildly it's kind of hard to enjoy it. I think it would have been better off as a single independant of Ladyworld, but then it would have been one track short so....guess on the EP it goes.
Shou Alias Im so happy someone gets it :^D but i adore foodbar and i actually think it fits fantastically into this album for the simple fact of how it all ends with a punch that is foodbar then we get the grand finale Built 4 love....but thats just my opinion
i've found that the album art is pretty indicative of the vibe of that album for TWRP; Ladyworld is just a cute little vaporwavey beach record of the future
br2k Yes and boy do i love it! And pretty excited for their new full Length album Togther Through Time!
they had us in the first half not gonna lie
but honestly i'm the same way where i have to listen to an album several times over to get to like it whish i could love an album on the first listen.
I could rollarskate to this.
Holy shit the bassist is on point in this. Fuck me running.
This is like a cute little modern ballad for those who seek the Feminine Divine. ;D
Ive had SERIOUS karate sessions with my toddlers to Atomic Karate
I just noticed that there is a little overture in built 4 love
Does Bruno Mars is gay?
yes Bruno mars does is gay
It's snowing on Mt. Fuji
Rebypox it is most talked about topic in the few years ago
Even in a person of his fans?
I don't know, does he?
The Toshiki Kadomatsu quote on Body Image? Brilliant
14:25
Is that a fucking musical quotation of "52nd Street" by Toshiki Kadomatsu?!?
YES I LOVE IT
Heck yeah!
My favorite planet, Earth!
Still loving it!!
Aaaawh yeah 😂
20:26
Renomon0 end of “Food Bar” for anyone who wants to know
I wish I knew Atomic Karate
You and me both
Ladyworld sounds like it could easily fit into Main Street electrical parade
I guess punk rock didn't survive the emo movement. They went underground. This is really good music. Sincerely.
nice
Am i right in saying there is no cd version?
no. you're wrong
@@eeyoreyeen oh. On the official store it only said it was digital. Anyways cheers for the help m8
Super ghey I love it 🥰
Gotta admit I like this EP less than the other :/
Only good ones are Atomic Karate and Built 4 Love. The rest are meh compared to some of their other hits.
i'm not that fan of atomic karate but i really love body image , food bar was catchy but repeat itself too much wich is sad because it could have been way much more
Exoskellet I thought that too the first time i listened to the album....but after repeated listening its my favorite album BY FAR
It will be hard for them to make something I like more than Believe in your dream (pale blue dots is just one of my most favorite song of all time)
So now Together Through Time is out, what do you think?
