An insane number of changes... what are your first reactions to it all? I will be going LIVE with the PTS tomorrow at 8:30AM Pacific/11:30AM Eastern 🔥 Hope to see you there!
Don't get me wrong but wouldn't be nice if devs added new gear set items as high-end i always appreciated new cosmetics but new mechanics are boring we don't need complexity we just need new content in new york . Ps: i will still use striker no matter what lol
Actually the change needed is stash size, the space is just not enough to collect all the gear sets or named/ exotic items we need, even one for each. Since they introduce more items every season, and do buff/ nerfs for encouraging more builds, the space matters...
This is exactly why the game needed to have wipes. What in the hell is the point of hoarding hundreds and hundreds of pieces of gear that just ends up sitting there?
I would rather to create a mule character, instead of repeated farming for hours and hours just for the very only piece to complete the build, especially the piece you destroyed for space.
@@ethanma83 Having to loot for X amount of time to find that one piece of gear is what makes brings value to that piece of gear and adds a sense of reward when you finally find that piece of gear. Don't see the appeal to be able to easily find any piece of gear you want in less than 15 minutes. That to me sounds like it completely defeats the purpose of the game and the looting element.
Let me clarify, everything in my stash now is for load-outs or builds instead of hoarding, and all of them are max outed. If the devs want us to play in more styles, but force to play under certain numbers of items, looks unreasonable to me. And also, the purpose of gaming is to be entertained, it based on shaping your game character by “new looting”, not repeating same farming process just because the item you had has been destroyed for lacking of storage space, it makes people frustrated.
Nerfing things to promote the use of other items is the dumbest argument I swear. Just don’t use the things you think are OP, you don’t need the devs removing these options from the game. When I play COD I don’t use meta guns, I use what I think is fun.
What you said makes sense for me, since I’m primary PVE, but I understand it for those who are in competitive play. you don’t only want to be limited to the same 4 weapon loadouts and gear sets as everyone else, in order simply to compete. Multiple seasons of the same meta can get old, so I can see why they do what they do; granted unlike you and I (just playing for fun) many are real sweats and make it a big deal to win by any means
@@Nysek2Stronk that would made way too much sense for these devs, lol. now they nerfed the good things and the bad and useless gear sets and other brands are still USELESS lol!
Nerfing striker, Scorpio, st Elmo’s, Ouroboros, Obliterate talent is not a good way to bring players back. These are best in slot, the game isn’t new. ZERO reason to touch them now. People want fast paced gameplay. They don’t want to be forced to play something else.
Their balancing of SMGs has been the worst out of any weapon category. They either nerf the hell out of it (They might as well take the T821 out of the game) or it’s overpowered compared to all the rest, making just a couple even being viable options.
Why? It’s still gonna be the strongest gun in the game 💀🤦🏻♂️ they just took the msg and rpm away it’s still gonna be 1,100+ as far as rpm goes and there’s still 40 in the msg like a reg smg so what’s being nerfed about that? The fact you can’t msg dump no more?
Disappointed in your analysis for once. You said nerfing St Elmo’s gives other weapons a chance. But that’s not the point. Point is the game is already a massive bullet sponge. So taking something away just to play some random other weapon doesn’t make sense. And by this logic, you should be unhappy about the buff to EB.
It forces you to use other weapons and builds instead of everyone using the same ass loadouts. No diversity what so ever in this game. There are so many combinations and builds you can create yet everyone uses the same exact weapons and builds one of the biggest turn offs about this game.
@@deathcoven That shouldn't be the developers problems, shouldn't be your, or any one else's. As long as people are playing a game, who gives a shit. If they want to stick to a build they invested their time making it meta. If a game has to force players to play how the developers want them to play every time, then that is a game on the fast track to its own ruin.
The problem is lack of new content. We just had a lackluster season with nothing new which caused a ton of players to stop playing & their solution is to nerf the most popular gear and guns that we've spent months grinding to upgrade. Make it make sense. Clown dev team 🤡
Typical massive. Puts to high of emphasis on expertise, makes us grind out to upgrade to realize the game isn't balanced to their liking. They're so afraid of what happened to end game of div 1 or understanding we're playing outdated tech to begin with! At some point it has to break in order for u to make a new one or you just micromanage or core fan base away
Can somebody tell me why they nerf popular sets/builds rather than buffing the ones that lag behind? I, like others, had to invest a significant amount of time to just be able to run hard content by farming up some of these more powerful builds. Why not simply buff some of the lower performers so that the progression path into hard content is broader via a wider range of options? Won't the nerfs force people to have a higher watch level to clear hard content rather than a decent build? Maybe that's what they are going for...? Am I the only one that feels this way?
I was just checking out that player numbers on StreamChart. The Division 2 is currently ranked at 343 with 1557 players. Not exactly burning up the chart. Granted it's a Thursday night but I don't think the best layer totally will be that much higher over the weekend. I'll check it out just out of curiosity
@@kevinkinneyak straight buffing all the time leads to immense powercreep very quickly. This patch slightly nerfed the best of the best items (that will still be good) AND buffed other ones. This should result in a healthier more diverse meta without further trivialitializing the games content. (Just don't nerf the mp7 ubi that's unnecessary) I'm not sure why everyone is acting like there isn't more buffs than nerfs this patch but oh well.
I think you missed what i would consider is a very important point of my confusion about the nerf to one of the best builds in the game. Does this or does this not require more time invested into leveling your watch level in order to produce the same result that farming for a strong build would produce pre nerf? I understand that if the difficulty of the game ceases to exist the game had no longevity. I worry that the game is moving toward a direction where having a good build will never be entirely enough and you need watch lvl 1000 to supplament it. I feel like that doesnt encourage new players to stick with the game. If my grind to become useful to my teammates in some of the more difficult content goes from weeks to months, or months to a year, why bother even playing it at all? Maybe thats why they are also giving us an event to easily farm 1000 watch lvls. Guess i should be grateful.
@@questionmark05not anymore once they nerf it smh. They just need to keep the buffs but remove the nerfs. They need to leave those guns and gears alone and just buff the ones they wanna buff out
Nerfs are obviously gonna be talked about more but some of these buffs are really solid and potentially meta changing too ARs: Carbine 7 is already famous for having 0 recoil but now it gets a free dmg boost and a faster reload SMGs: the pp-19 (Bizon) and the tommy guns, its a nice way to show that raw bullet dmg can compete with RoF LMG: MG5 is still the king of burst but with a whopping 2.34s shaved from the reload its gonna be even better. Also m249 is basically a new weapon now with how different the stats are Rifles: all of them win since you no longer need to spam fire but the 1886 is gonna be even crazier with Determined HS builds and pairs nicely with the newly buffed aces and eights set Shotguns: KSG is gonna be the new king of burst dmg now over the m870 and by extension I assume the overlord also gets the same buff Snipers: M44 still reigns supreme Pistols: Revolvers are the new king over the deagle but definitely keep an eye out for the KARD, its a sleeper Weapon Talents: killer and optimist definitely but don't sleep on sadist its gonna insane when paired with the Ridgeway's chest also Brazen is getting buffed which means the KSG is gonna be even better than it already is Gearsets: umbra, heartbreaker, and aces and eights definitely get the best outcome along with kinetic momentum Exotics: Bighorn is already gaining popularity in pvp but this 3rd buff in a row might solidify as a top tier AR. but the biggest winner is definitely the chatterbox and catharsis
The Bighorn is a hard gun to balance due to its much higher skill gap compared to other weapons. Right now, its bonus is the same as the crit damage bonus of Umbra with the chest. In the right hands, it's overpowered; in the wrong hands, it's likely one of the worst in the game due to its handling and requirement of headshots.
I hate the change to make rifles fully automatic. LVOAC has not even solid recoil on semi auto - on full, it will be soooooooo bad. UIC is perfectly fine as semi auto. I love semi auto guns, i use semi auto in almost every shooter. I am annoyed by this.
@@jackcravford8744 dont be...UIC has really low fire rate and with the stability buffs to attachements it will still be pin point accurate...also breaking point is now finally useable for LM4, LVOAC and URBAN MDR and gets a dmg buff....plus the new holster that gives 20% ROF and + 20% WPN DMG on swap? this will be a really nice and fun build for CQC Rifles with higher ROF and for the UIC u can still use the same High DMG build as before plus you get more stability with the mods and dont have to spam trigger finger...Overall BIG WIN for rifles and it will be the reason I will get back into the game.
@@jackcravford8744 bro...I am doing the same. Like literally. And you can still do that. Even better u will see..but now finally CQC rifles are way more fun to use...cause there swappimg is often times necessary. Also busy little bee will be god like with a full red build and full auto rifles, cause your dps is way higher. You do realize that there wont be any noticeable change in stability and accuracy on the UIC15 do you? The weapon is pin point accurate and wont move shit cause of that change.. It will go straight up and with the buffed stability mods its still a laser...BUT NOW ITS A FULL AUTO LASER. Like srsly man.. Think for a sec.. And if you really miss it to spam the trigger finger... Seek help.
@@Malacite that's where you lack basic analysis. you're considering surface level nerfs and buffs and can't think beyond that for some reason. if this game hadn't created a high level of investment through optimization costs and exotic components i wouldn't mind. but where i do mind is a complete lack of respect for player's time. also, it's not that scorpio is OP, it's because most weapons in the game are dog shit which makes it more of an outlier.
How the hell did the devs look at the helldivers 2 fiasco and decide; “Y’know what division 2 needs? Nerfs” Edit; to clarify I’m really only bummed on strikers being nerfed because if they really wanted people to use other gear sets or brands they would buff the weaker ones to be optimal. I completely agree on the Oro nerf as that smg is brutal in PvP. I don’t really see Oro being used in PvE that much tbh.
yup picaro's holster did not deserve that nerf i lost 5 WHOLE percent of my damage for what? so that i would consider tripping myself with some defective pruduct i want to live not to die because the gear systeam is ducked
5??? More like 20. It was doomed from the start. OG PH came with 20% weapon damage, got reduced to 15 with the intent to be able to roll 15 as a core attribute. Noticing their blunder they claim it can't be rolled as a core because its a minor and would require rework of the whole attribute system. Now look, its getting nerfed yet again.
@@Elysian-III Thats what should have been done instead of things being nerfed, all players have options to play their own way. Its too late in the game to be nerfing things that more than half of the community just put up at expertise 26.
I’m not gonna lie after reading the notes myself 90% of the nerfs just feel like they touched it as an excuse to nerf Striker’s and oro without admitting that’s all they wanna change .-.
I don't quite get the changes to the Scorpio, the increase in shots required for each debuff doesn't work since the gun only has 8 shells before a reload
Scorpio debuff does not end just because you reload. The debuff is still working, they just force you to reload before you can apply the 20% all incoming dmg buff for your team. Unless you get some +mag size with your gear, but probably not a stat that's really worth going for unless in certain builds. Alternativly 2 people could use Scorpio since the debuff stacks together, but I am not sure about that.
@@Narniak69 Ah, I didn't consider that. Thanks for the info. Seems like they want to get the scorpio out of builds that just use it since it is (or rather was) "the scropio". Not sure what to make of the changes, but scorpio debuff stacks if another person is using scorpio too, right? In that case it might be worthwhile to get a second scorpio into the mix. In the Raids it should be possible without sacrificing too much, but for the 4 man incursion, seems kinda hard. Well... gotta get onto the PTS and try some stuff then.
Had a little heart attack when i saw the strikers nerf, but it's only the backpack and I already sacrifice that slot for a memento. Still pissed about the Elmo nerf.
Yeah, they just killed the backpack: you now get 1.85 × 1.17 multiplier if you use the backpack and obliterate, but you get 1.65 × 1.42 if you replace it with vigilance, which is 8.24% more damage. This is even worse if you use Perfect Glass Cannon. If they keep this, I think they would have to make the backpack give 2 stacks at once to incentivize its use and keep it from being overshadowed by Heartbreaker, which isn't supposed to be the damage king. Anyway, this pairs perfectly with the chest and prevents you from running a chest or backpack too, for some balance. Not to mention, this invites other builds to outperform the chest and backpack; namely, intimidate + memento or chest + vigilance on a striker tank build, with PGC + Vigilance only being ~0.70% behind (99.30% of chest + backpack) compared to ~10.625%.
I also use the memento with the striker chest, but now with the heartbreaker buff we are basically right back where we were when heartbreaker was released, the damage isn't multiplicative like it used to be but now with the damage buff and the bonus armor and a famas with flatline you can out dps the dps build making striker less appealing for raw damage, devs never learn with all these nerfs
Devs want versatility, but we all know we use striker because we fight bullet sponges. Want versatility nerf the sponges so other sets can do something
Great to see my beloved Chameleon getting a buff. Now I may not be the only one using it in Countdown. With the new seasons and these changes, it is going to take some time to figure it all out. There is sooooo much.
Its giving devs pet that you agree with every nerf, a bit disheartening to even hear you in such a favor of all the nerfs. Particularly the Saint Elmos which I hope doesn't come to fruition. SEs damage was in its mods, it doesn't get an exotic talent that buffs damage or survivability. You have to land a full mag in order to get shock rounds which have diminishing returns as status effects have been nerfed into the ground as well. Also the functionality of the weapon means only about 30 rounds of shock ammo serve a purpose. You basically have a named weapon prancing around as an exotic. Just because the devs decided to introduce weapon handling and mag size into gear sets 6 years in it doesn't mean an item should get reduced because of it. If they're going to nerf SE mods, it needs a more viable talent.
They completely destroyed Ouros because apparently it is so strong in PVP. Ouros ROF got nerf from 1350 to 1215, non-exotic vector is at 1200 RPM, the thing that kills Ouros is the magazine size reduction, who will use a 41 rounds smg? In the PVE environment, SMG is already in disadvantage. This new change will only push people further into using LMG/AR main. Chatterbox, while getting buff, it's poor weapon handling makes it stay in the stash. Bullet King unironically became king in the LMG category. Determined 1886 likely will become the new king in the rifle category thanks to the damage buff & its versatility compared to SR. Heartbreaker being buffed to 1.3% independent damage increase, PFE heartbreaker pretty much got a constant "Vigilance" size damage buff, with m4 base damage increased, Running Vigilance HB build, and its 185% damage increase at full stacks. Heartbreaker users are eating good. Nerfing Obliterate is the most confusing thing to me, the talent itself isn't that strong without other gear pieces. And people use it, not because it is strong, it's because obliterate is the only talent that doesn't suck. (Are they trying to push players back to a few updates ago, when everyone runs Glass Cannon build again? Vigilance/Memento DPS builds?) Obliterate Striker build is 1 foot in the grave already this update, the new changes basically close the casket on it. So people will just run chest-backpack Striker build now. St Elmos nerf is pretty minor(and we still don't know if St Elmos non-exotic template: m4 base damage buff will affect St Elmos too) Eagle gets some buff, in the current update, EB is already one of the top AR. The only down side is it's a bit terrible weapon handling. In short, Striker is still alive and well, anyone says otherwise are either memeing or they have no idea what they are talking about. Chameleon gets buff in the speed it procs the talent, but its poor weapon handling, AR category template and inability to refresh buff timer while the buff actives, keep it from being viable unless you prefer standing right at ads faces to fight. While looking at the stat, Scorpio got only a minor nerf, but its template: SIX12, got 10% weapon damage & 50% reload speed nerf, if these nerf also applies on Scorpio, it would be a fatal setback to the exotic. Sledgehammer/Mosquito got their roles reversed, using the new exotic holster with sledgehammer, while support runs mosquito in Paradise Lost, you might get some surprising outcome at boss 3,4 encounters. SR1 is dead. Model700 got nerf but return to it's no.1 spot in SR category. And its not that bad comparing to M44 (7 rnds mag 7s reload timer vs 5 rnd mag 4.3s reload timer)
@Scallaix that's actually what I'm running for a make shift lonestar build. Just to get a little closer to what lonestar does, I'm running steady handed for the auto reload
Do they not realize that when they nerf something like this, all that accomplishes is to ensure basically no one will use it, thus making it pointless to even have in the game?
@@paulocarvalho1982 The thing that perplexes me to this day is that, when they first started talking about Division 2 and why they were doing a new game instead of continuing to support Div 1, was that they needed to do a new game from the ground up so they could balance PvE and PvP separately. That at least made sense. But since Div 2 came out, they've done very little of that, and they still balance PvE based on PvP. PvE is cooperative, so why does it matter if Striker or the MP7 or whatever is powerful? Balance it differently for PvP, fine, I couldn't care less. But PvE? Why? It just shows that one of the main stated reasons for doing Div 2 in the first place was ultimately pointless.
@MatthiasPowerbomb it's a whole other team working on Div 2 than what we had making the game. That team got pulled to other projects, and Ubi Bucharest took over and had a *huge* learning curve to boot. For their small numbers, and small funding from mama Ubi, they do at least deserve some credit.
First thing: Very excited about automatic rifles. Definitely will take my lightweight m4 for a spin to remind myself of division 1 days. Very excited for the new exotic too. Time we had some love for the FAL. Second thing: I know i will hurt my fingers using scorpio now. Because of all the taps and reloads. Same thing with ouroboros. It will be just spamming the R key as they reduced the number of rounds. That gun already depleted its ammo very quickly.
Really happy with many of the changes here. I decided to try and get back into div 2 ahead of the eventual dlc. I’m happy with the bighorn change as it’s my primary PvP gun, but I hate it in pve. Even in pvp when you’re against guns like Elmo, oroboro, iron long with its fire, it can feel a little bit pointless to build for headshots.
I feel like all this hate for the nerfs is sad. St Elmos/Ouroboros/Scorpio have been meta picks in all content since their release. I personally find all these nerfs and bufda really exciting because it gives me the drive to go out and make new builds and do what the game was designed to do and to make builds for solutions, instead of brute force. As for rogue gold, love the videos. Keepit up!~
This is the great thing about the PTS. We will be able to see the actual changes to see if they're viable in action versus what they did on paper. Also remember that after much backlash on the 'seasonal character' announcement, the devs backpedaled. I'm positive these changes won't be concrete, at least not all or to their extent. There will be additional changes, 100%.
As a new player who hasn't gotten the saint elmo's engine or oriboros, I appreciate these updats.iI do have the chatterbox and the chameleon, I use the chameleon primarily.. I feel like they should have done a little bit more buffing on the chameleon since you hav3 to jump through hoops. They should have added 15 more seconds to the length of bufs. And add a rate of fire buff to the legs. Like 30 to 40%..
My all red build will be fuck, if these changes come to the actual game. I run Providence three piece, 1 cesko, 1 groupo My states is practually at its max when it comes to damage. Crt Chance 60 and crt dmg 200. No I am not liking any of these damn nerfs.
@@ShiftNova same. same here. i despise this shit. i am running this type of build so i don´t have to deal with any annoying stacks so i can have pure, raw damage. enemy AI does not need to deal with stacks as well. it felt even. the devs are so out of touch with the players it is baffling. I can imagine that even modders would do a better job than them. I spend like over 800 hours to get all resources, everything optimized and stuff for what now? lol.
@@jackcravford8744 I have no more interest grinding in this game if this how the developers value their players time. What a waste. If only this IP was in better hands.
Excited about the Backfire changes with max stacks building MUCH more quickly and the increased CC/CD making it viable in PvP but unfortunately the MPX, the underlying gun gets a -3k dmg nerf. Also affects The Apartment. Overall the Backfire looks promising though especially with its 22m effective range. I had been running my Devils Due Conflict builds with the St Elmo's but the % drop on the CC mod as well as the Ceska nerf combined with the lack of SHD bonus means I'll probably swap out Elmo's for Backfire which will be a combined +31% CC increase over the Elmo's, as it should be. Edit: just rigged up a pulse proof 90% hazpro build and with the PTS #'s should be able to squeeze a potential +300% CD using the Backfire after the Conflict SHD penalty. Before this update I think we were all hoping that at least we could get a buff on the Backfire's stack decay, but this change suits me just fine.
I hope you got that glass of water, and it was good... you earned it. Thanks for reading it, as it allowed me to hear the changes being read by someone else while i was driving. Personally, some of the changes sound intriguing to me. I thought of a couple of possibilities I'm looking forward to trying out. Oh, and i typed this AFTER driving 😂
They just destroyed the st.elmo, nerf the obliterate, striker gear, reduced the magsize and fire rate of f2000, reduced the weapon damage of picaro's holster. Akm's burst damage was also nerf. Fast hand was reduced. Overall this upcoming update is clearly to spit on dps builds then they call it "BaLaNcE"
Don't forget the massive TRIPLE nerf to Scorpio, which is a SIX12 shotgun. Damage down, decrease the reload speed, and requires more shots to apply status effects.
The bighorn is already op and that’s from somebody who uses it 247 and it doesn’t make sense to buff it even more. Glad the ouroboros finally gets a nerf it’s going to be more fun in PvP again with that gun not plaguing the game
Yeah, its bonus is already as powerful as the crit damage bonus of Umbra with the chest. On my striker tank build (no chest or backpack), I've already hit 2 million with the striker shield if I catch a group of enemies spawning. On a random armor Regen striker with the everyday carrier, I can still hit 1 million from a single enemy. This gun is quite hard to balance due to its high skill gap. In the right hands it's very overpowered, and in the wrong hands, it's basically useless besides its high base damage.
@@juggernaut6498 bro you don’t PvP 💀, bighorn wasn’t a problem seriously? 😂 walking around with regen and 185% dmg 1v4 people? That’s not a problem ok 👍 🥲
It’s pretty obvious that the mods getting buffed are the mods no one ever uses and with a few nerfs here and a few nerfs there, crit builds will suffer. I get that they kinda sorta wanna move the meta along, but whenever someone does this by nerfing a bunch of stuff it tends to be a recipe for disaster. I’m not terribly impressed by this, even though it fundamentally doesn‘t seem to effects me much. I can go back to a vector 45 with killer and just keep on using my EB. Progress, I guess. The first few months after this patch goes live is gonna be pretty crazy, though
The rav is gonna be very strong now especially with aces. Bit sad for the MP7 just when it started to get some much needed love. The M870 going up seems weird. Might see more versatile builds in PvP. Oroborous nerf was needed. It's just silly. I've been saying forever they needed to buff weapon mods above everything else especially since Elmos came out. So glad to see that. That will make a huge difference to builds especially if they buff crit chance/damage a few percent and provide a more substantial increase on stability. I'm really happy for the HB buff. It's my favourite set by far. So maybe I'll jump back in for a bit. I think they might regret this one now though as heartbreaker is already crazy strong. Did you mention True Patriot? If any set needs a buff it's that. I could've missed it though.
@@RogueGold I think they won't touch the true patriot set for a long while. I am sure they still have ptsd from when it was running rampant in the dark zone in the early years. What I am sad about the most is that the ACR is still getting shafted while not having any redeeming qualities to its name after 6 years the game has been out, meanwhile the famas gets buffed.
That new Exotic. Negotiators Dilemma or Hunter's Fury might be the play. As for any of the major changes, I have a Measured SMG Ongoing Directive build. That's getting a very notable buff. Measured Vector fired like a damn autocannon during the Guardians Global Event.
They better back track on the nerf to striker Oreo and Elmo’s bc it seems like a cop out instead of them making other things stronger and giving us new item that shake up what we want to use the just nerf the good guns and gear like striker has been reworked more then any other set just leave it the way it was leave the guns the way they were and just make other shit better like make the love-c and lightweight m4 assault rifles and make them good just make other smgs better I hate the way they try to balance bc all they do is fuck up the game for players who actually put time into there game just to make it more new player friendly fucking pisses me off
Next season will have all backpack talents change to ‘doom’ talent where everything dies as you walk in the room. If you run into the room it also fills your cache capacity with exotics.
You know, I might have to get into the division again. The Striga might do wonders with the armor set, with being able to debuff every thing and then going close with a back up smg. You could also really try Ravenous again, because I think its one of the rifles becoming full auto. I might have to give Space Marines 2 and get back on the division grind!
Honestly just for absolute fun sake in division 2 I think they should buff Ninja bike from a +1 to a +2. They most likely won't, and got some who'll disagree that's fine, but for fun, and entertainment reasons definitely should change it. Being able to have multiple gear sets active at once would open up so much potential in build crafting, and some insane gameplay. Definitely would go with STRIKER+HEARTBREAKER.
The number of nerfs to crit chance and damage on brands sets is fairly gross. But also hits to RK's tier 1 and legmo tier 2? And some didn't change which is strange, especially on pieces that didn't have as crazy of impact. Or where they got crazy boosts for being one of the common to abuse (45% bonus self repair with 1% regen AND 10% armor on kill). The third is fine but I see the first two constantly abused.
Gonna be honest Rouge, the reason I use Rifle/Shotgun build is because the aren't automatic...in combat you really aren't gonna be spraying and praying every time your in combat, I'm an Infantry vet trust me, it's a bit more immersive and realistic for me but making the lot of them automatic, everyone already has ARs and the smgs so I don't know why they are doing this to a class that needed a bit of skill to master imo. Yes I play conflict, go in the dark zones, and don't always get wreaked because of the automatic build but idk. I'm like you broski, love this franchise and will still have fun with it but honestly just a little disappointed if you will because it, anyway thanks for the to vids today and enjoyed watching the stream since missed it live. Cheers.
Fully respect that take. I think the biggest motive is accessibility- for me it's physically uncomfortable to run a Rifle for long periods of time due to the trigger spam. So I'm looking forward to that change for that reason, but I do get the disappointment in them losing their individuality
@RogueGold true, it does get a bit taxing on longer plays. But like we say don't know till we play it right. Again I truly appreciate your channel and content. Division and Fallout are really the only franchises I play lol. I catch when you go live with the pts, just don't tell my boss lmao. Thanks for getting back to me broski, means a lot a hardcore Division fan.
I'm just gonna be brutally honest here, but some of yall complaining are just blowing things out of proportion the fact that some of these changes might not even make it out of PTS. I know a lot of you don't like change but, lets let the devs change the meta around for once and honestly looking at all of the nerfs and running the numbers you don't lose that much dmg I'm sorry you wont be able to kill someone 1 seconds faster. Its time to stop being meta slaves and open into unique builds that can fit your styles go play PTS yourselves and test out it feels. If you don't like it then I'm wrong but if you really don't feel a difference and you might like the new items or changes then I was right.
And it should stay that way just like the other 3 raid/incursion rewarded weapons they are rewarded for doing all that teamwork and skill they also might not even get it first time I think its perfectly fair
So if I understood correctly while making a CHC/CHD build you will be investing to the weapon instead of brand/gear sets. So instead of promoting and buffing diffirent things, they nerfed so we can "Forced" to try new things. I hope my striker build will forgive me but I'm going back my HF build...
I'm still gonna play love this game, and I agree with your assessments of most. But my 3 main builds are an m1 headshot build, a scorpio hunters fury build, and a strikers oroborus build.... im starting to feel personally attacked here! Excited by the buffs and new stuff.
I'm ok with most changes although the Scorpio changes are worrisome in that it was the one weapon you could depend on and now maybe not so much. Have to see how it plays out. Can I as a final thought say we need a historic handgun like a Colt Peacemaker, so we can go Virginian/1886;Peacemaker with our cowboy apparel to be as 1886 as possible.
Massive taking all the fun outta the game...player base has definitely dropped even more after the live stream. Thanks Massive your driving your own game into the ground!!!
I have been out of the loop for this game....When do Season 2.0 go live? I tried finding info about it online, I saw one post say June for Season 6. But I have not played this game in over two years. So what's up everyone.
Ok, I know I should really watch the full thing before commenting but SHOTTY SNIPES IS OFFICIALLY A THING!!! Oh hell yes I am loving these two new sets, it is about damn time we get options for boosting optimal range (I wish there was a talent for that in Descent) dear God yes. That mask is especially insane for a shotgun build, time to go legendary LMB on people (a cookie if you get the reference) EDIT: incoming Swap chain build? Is it finally going to be a thing as well?
already read the notes just wanna say there is 0 reason now to play the incursion for the ouroboros and them massively nerfing the most popular guns and build when we have poured tons of materials into them is an insult, if you want more things to be viable, make them stronger, dont take power away from us forcing us to choose different things, give us the choice to choose equally powerful things. I really hope they reconsider some of these.
So... by this logic they need to make items stronger, then theyll have to make enemies stronger unless you want trivialized combat but buffing enemies is essentially just negating the previously mentioned buffs? So you've gone full circle with no actual change. Sometimes items are too overpowrted and just buffing other items doesn't make those overpowered items any less overpowered lol.
I've had the oroborous since the incursion dropped and it's just so f*cking stupid. If it's being nerfed, good. They do this on purpose BTW. Nothing needs buffing in this game. They introduce OP stuff to draw people in and then they rebalance after time.
@@aToxicJester wow way to miss the point, you realise that strikers as it is is powerful but not game breaking and by nerfing it youre massively hurting the casual audience who just want a classic dps build, this is the same thing they did the other year when they nerfed heartbreaker, people just moved over to strikers. And i 100% agree the game should be more difficult if it means more stuff if viable due to buffs, not nerfs.
all exotics should be in general loot pool not tied to certain game modes and the the weekly gear offerings should have at least 1 near god roll on something
Im not gonna lie if it wasnt for the fact we have missions that we can target farm certain gear id say adding so many new items would be SO bad cause adding so much to an already massive loot pool would mean it would take forever to farm for full sets (or parts) for builds
I disagree almost all of the brand set, and exotic weapon nerfs if I am being honest. The St Elmos is not overpowered in PvE, it never has been. There is several AR's that compete with it in it's current state. The Scorpio nerf, sure its best in slot by far for shotguns in PvE, all that tells me is that they should make the other shotguns better instead of nerfing the only one that stands out. The Iron lung, they are buffing the regular MG5, the GR9 and the bullet king, so why does the Iron Lung get nerfed? That just doesn't make sense to me. Obliterate being nerfed, again doesn't make sense because Glass cannon gives more dmg anyways, plus most people just run the striker, or umbra chest instead of using obliterate anyways for those sets. The brand set nerfs are also incredibly unnecessary. I am just really confused by most of these nerfs as most of them make zero sense to me.
This is not a balance this is horrible for anyone with all the gear in the game. This is to clearly stop the player from doing damage. This will possibly drive most veteran players away from the game. None asked for this update.
It won't drive people away. I played Destiny/Destiny 2 for 10 fucking years and every time there were huge nerfs people would say "no one will play this game now". And guess what happened? Other things got buffed and people found new damage ceilings. If you stop playing a game because the one cracked build that everyone uses gets nerfed then you're a little narrow-minded.
Judging by the notes, most nerfed stuff was meta, like ST Elmos or Strikers. They did buff a lot of non meta stuff too. You just cant run brainlessly with strikers and expect the same result
@@miszczudioda and that's not a bad thing IMO. There needs to be several viable options available so there are multiple paths to explore. There will almost always be a single outlier and that's what people end up tunneling. The issue here, I guess, is that a huge number of players were using St Elmo's/Striker builds with not much else in the pipeline. So now it feels like they've invested time into something that's not as good (but will probably still be strong).
It is. Damage isn't going away, you ape. You simply gain damage from a variety of combos. Why is this a problem? They nerfed crit a bit, but buffed a bunch of other stuff. Your brain is working backwards. If you actually checked the patch notes thoroughly, you would have noticed this. But, what can I expect from a lumberjack?
So all of these talents will see some sort of nerf. No doubt about it. But I reallllllly like the concepts of them and am very excited to use these in game (regardless of whatever increases or decreases they see), craft new builds. Should be a fun season.
An insane number of changes... what are your first reactions to it all?
I will be going LIVE with the PTS tomorrow at 8:30AM Pacific/11:30AM Eastern 🔥 Hope to see you there!
shotguns did not need a buff
@@mutilatedcrow2607 They just nerfed Scorpio into Oblivion, and it's basically the only meta shotgun in the game.
Don't get me wrong but wouldn't be nice if devs added new gear set items as high-end i always appreciated new cosmetics but new mechanics are boring we don't need complexity we just need new content in new york .
Ps: i will still use striker no matter what lol
Mixed feelings on some of the buffs and nerfs, but overall kinda smirking that the meta just took a double-hoof donkey-kick to the junk.
Many Oroboros owners will jump off a cliff when they see those changes! I’m glad I don’t own one. 😂😂😂😂
@@ethanma83
Having to loot for X amount of time to find that one piece of gear is what makes brings value to that piece of gear and adds a sense of reward when you finally find that piece of gear.
@@dylanmelotti4301wipes are for new games. Not new content for very old games.
Or buff the other existing brands/sets/weapons/exotics rather than nerfing.
keep thinking that lmao, love stomping on yall kids using meta weapons in cod. so i aint gonnna argue 😂

Why are they nerfing the MP7 damage and rof? It already can’t take a magazine mod. It just feels so unnecessary to me
Their balancing of SMGs has been the worst out of any weapon category. They either nerf the hell out of it (They might as well take the T821 out of the game) or it’s overpowered compared to all the rest, making just a couple even being viable options.
They need to take the mp7 out of the game because there going to destroy it
Well, I think the Dark Winter is about the take the cake. That talent buff is pretty wild.
I suspect Ouro getting nerfed might kill interest in running the incursion.

The new exotic AR sounds cool but you know it is only a matter of time until they nerf it.
Personally it doesn’t sound that insane to me since the mods hold it back pretty well. But we will see.
Yep exactly. Same enemies behavior, same missions, same control points, NOTHING changed. The combat on its own is still the same loop all over again.
Because fuck you that's why. Don't worry, people will defend it even though nerfing weapons like this is always a net negative in pve scenarios.
Lol, and I just farmed my first striker build with my first St Elmo. What a time I chose to start the Div2. Hahaha

Nerfs are obviously gonna be talked about more but some of these buffs are really solid and potentially meta changing too
ARs: Carbine 7 is already famous for having 0 recoil but now it gets a free dmg boost and a faster reload
SMGs: the pp-19 (Bizon) and the tommy guns, its a nice way to show that raw bullet dmg can compete with RoF
LMG: MG5 is still the king of burst but with a whopping 2.34s shaved from the reload its gonna be even better. Also m249 is basically a new weapon now with how different the stats are
Rifles: all of them win since you no longer need to spam fire but the 1886 is gonna be even crazier with Determined HS builds and pairs nicely with the newly buffed aces and eights set
Shotguns: KSG is gonna be the new king of burst dmg now over the m870 and by extension I assume the overlord also gets the same buff
Snipers: M44 still reigns supreme
Pistols: Revolvers are the new king over the deagle but definitely keep an eye out for the KARD, its a sleeper
Weapon Talents: killer and optimist definitely but don't sleep on sadist its gonna insane when paired with the Ridgeway's chest also Brazen is getting buffed which means the KSG is gonna be even better than it already is
Gearsets: umbra, heartbreaker, and aces and eights definitely get the best outcome along with kinetic momentum
Exotics: Bighorn is already gaining popularity in pvp but this 3rd buff in a row might solidify as a top tier AR. but the biggest winner is definitely the chatterbox and catharsis

How the hell did the devs look at the helldivers 2 fiasco and decide; “Y’know what division 2 needs? Nerfs”
Edit; to clarify I’m really only bummed on strikers being nerfed because if they really wanted people to use other gear sets or brands they would buff the weaker ones to be optimal. 5??? More like 20. It was doomed from the start. OG PH came with 20% weapon damage, got reduced to 15 with the intent to be able to roll 15 as a core attribute.
Scorpio is also a SIX12 type shotgun, so it's getting the other massive nerfs to reload speed and damage. It was just TRIPLE nerfed into Oblivion.
Still pissed about the Elmo nerf.
same
Yeah, they just killed the backpack: you now get 1.85 × 1.17 multiplier if you use the backpack and obliterate, but you get 1.65 × 1.42 if you replace it with vigilance, which is 8.24% more damage.
@@mauriciocastillo7302 time to bust out the notepad and do some quick math when the patch drops.

That new exotic AR is like Sentry’s call from division 1
Vigilance/Memento DPS builds?)
Obliterate Striker build is 1 foot in the grave already this update, the new changes basically close the casket on it. So people will just run chest-backpack Striker build now. St Elmos nerf is pretty minor(and we still don't know if St Elmos non-exotic template: m4 base damage buff will affect St Elmos too)
Eagle gets some buff, in the current update, EB is already one of the top AR.
With this update, the Ouroboros is no longer the best SMG in the game.

But PvE? Why?

Keepit up!~
👊 Thanks my friend! Largely agree!
Was Yannis away when we got Project Resolve?
This is the great thing about the PTS. We will be able to see the actual changes to see if they're viable in action versus what they did on paper. Also remember that after much backlash on the 'seasonal character' announcement, the devs backpedaled. I'm positive these changes won't be concrete, at least not all or to their extent. There will be additional changes, 100%.
That backlash is what led yo these nerfs guarantee it so the community is still getting 💩 on
As a new player who hasn't gotten the saint elmo's engine or oriboros, I appreciate these updats.iI do have the chatterbox and the chameleon, I use the chameleon primarily.. I feel like they should have done a little bit more buffing on the chameleon since you hav3 to jump through hoops. They should have added 15 more seconds to the length of bufs. And add a rate of fire buff to the legs. Like 30 to 40%..
Obliterate and Providence Defense nerfs are making me sad af, I don’t like it.
I feel bad for the striker users. 30% nerf is hard considering they didn't even give the set more armor
🙌 Thanks for listening to it all haha
Striker nerf Isn’t actually that bad… I’m more annoyed at the obliterate nerf on top of that :/
They just destroyed the st.elmo, nerf the obliterate, striker gear, reduced the magsize and fire rate of f2000, reduced the weapon damage of picaro's holster.
That gun wasn't a problem and stupid easy to counter with a shotgun so try again
@@juggernaut6498 bro shotguns are even more busted than the ouroboros keep it real
@@grannde_ nah bro keep that shit buffed 😂😂, it’s a HS players dream
@@juggernaut6498 bro you don’t PvP 💀, bighorn wasn’t a problem seriously? 😂 walking around with regen and 185% dmg 1v4 people? That’s not a problem ok 👍 🥲
Nerf the enemies already accuracy stability skill reductions give them reloads
Widely agree! No True Patriot changes, which is sad for sure. It's already one of the more lacking sets
I like this balance patch, although it's hurt my skill builds a bit for legendaries
That new Exotic.
Negotiators Dilemma or Hunter's Fury might be the play.
As for any of the major changes,
I have a Measured SMG Ongoing Directive build.
BigHorn buff? im all for it, love using it in pve and pvp, also dark winter indirect buff wooooooooo, rip ouroboros
Division not having a fire mode selection feels so absolutely dated within the combat.
EB is still a raid exclusive..
And it should stay that way just like the other 3 raid/incursion rewarded weapons they are rewarded for doing all that teamwork and skill they also might not even get it first time I think its perfectly fair
Good thing my trigger finger will be getting a break now for my Classic M1A, because it will need to be well-rested for when I swap to the Scorpio!
I'll wait and see what changes survive the PTS....
Personally rifles being semi automatic is why i like them
There will still be one that are semi so you can still use them
I miss the fire mode selection in Socom
That mozzie with my deflector build... Delicious.
I was just thinking the fullauto buff for rifles is gonna be fun inside of descent while stacking allegro
Definitely!
So if I understood correctly while making a CHC/CHD build you will be investing to the weapon instead of brand/gear sets.
So instead of promoting and buffing diffirent things, they nerfed so we can "Forced" to try new things. I hope my striker build will forgive me but I'm going back my HF build...
Very interesting new gear ⚙️ and guns looking forward to trying out the gear set love the content
I'm still gonna play love this game, and I agree with your assessments of most. But my 3 main builds are an m1 headshot build, a scorpio hunters fury build, and a strikers oroborus build.... im starting to feel personally attacked here! Excited by the buffs and new stuff.
I truly think the nerfed items will still be quite strong! But at least the M1A is going up by a good bit 👍
Bro putting out 20 videos a day....life is good right now❤
👊👊
As a pvp player Iron lung, striker, Elmo’s and Oro nerfs are bringing me back next season 👍
The tentative date is October 22nd 👍 And welcome back!
@@RogueGold Thank you, sir
Smgs got hit the hardest in the next patch crazy numbers on the nerfs.
im putting that holster on my healer build for both pve and pvp
Ok, I know I should really watch the full thing before commenting but SHOTTY SNIPES IS OFFICIALLY A THING!!!
Oh hell yes I am loving these two new sets, it is about damn time we get options for boosting optimal range (I wish there was a talent for that in Descent) dear God yes.
That mask is especially insane for a shotgun build, time to go legendary
LMB on people (a cookie if you get the reference)
EDIT: incoming Swap chain build?
And i 100% agree the game should be more difficult if it means more stuff if viable due to buffs, not nerfs.
it hurts me because of sledgehammer change... it need to be revert asap
More than likely, after everyone starts yelling at them about some of the nerfs after the PTS, they will change if or how much they nerf gear.
That'll make pulse rifles more deadly especially with umbra ninja bike combo
all exotics should be in general loot pool not tied to certain game modes and the the weekly gear offerings should have at least 1 near god roll on something
The way this community reacts to nerfs is worse than the destiny community 😂😂😂
Welp time to pull out the Sniper Shotguns.
ouroboros nerf is great. ar buffs with optimist is great as well
Im not gonna lie if it wasnt for the fact we have missions that we can target farm certain gear id say adding so many new items would be SO bad cause adding so much to an already massive loot pool would mean it would take forever to farm for full sets (or parts) for builds
Whew - I listen at 1.5 speed and I AM breathless from listening to this - LOL
😂 You have my respect!
I am just really confused by most of these nerfs as most of them make zero sense to me.
some reworks to dead exotics like acostas kneepads and “that” exotic gloves is welcome
Seriously surprising that only the catharsis got buffed. It's like they ran out of time, or something.
Huge breakpoint buff with the fully auto rifles
Sadly anything good like armor Regen or powerful weapons won't make it through. I used to love this game, but I feel like it's over balanced now ❤🎉🎉🎉
Does the negev change on lmg effect the bullet king too?
Looking forward to having my LVOA-C back from division 1 fully automatic not as fast but glad they've changed it 👍
What's the rpm on it ?
well good luck with the recoil on full auto. the agent cant even manage the recoil on semi auto lol.
so just to be clear, the patch will needed to be downloaded when? is it Friday, September 20th, at 1:00 PM CEST / 7:00 AM EDT / 4:00 AM PDT?
The live game isn't getting this update for a month or more. These changes will be on the Public Test Server over the course of the weekend
@@RogueGold thanks! I'm just a new player who cadually played solo 😆
