My shoulder issue was a bone spur that had abraded the tendon 40% thru the thickness and caused a lot of inflammation and pain during certain movements, I had the surgery in early January was very lucky that the tendon did not require stitches and that recovery time was faster.
This is so much better without the background music...I'm all into watching this...nice job...many different vehicles can benefit from watching this process since it can apply to many different types of vehicles......
Thanks Anthony. It took me quite some time to realize that I didn't need the background music. A few close friends have been on me about that and got me to overcome my fear that I just droned on without it. Happy that we now both agree!
Great job filming and explaining all the steps you took. After I get my 72 B body off to be sand blasted I can tear down my front suspension and inspect all the parts. You mentioned you were going to paint your parts. I was thinking of having mine sand blasted and powder coated. Is there any reason you are not?
The next video will cover the refurbishment of the front suspension crossmember. I did end up having it sandblasted and sprayed with an epoxy primer and paint. I went that route as opposed to powder coating primarily due to cost considerations. If cost was not a consideration, I would have powder coated it.
It's all about where you want to spend the money during the restoration. That is why I show the spend in the episodes so people can see and make the decision for themselves. I would be interested in hearing the quotes that you get for powder coating. Please let me know. In retrospect, I should have gotten quotes from multiple vendors to validate the pricing of each option.
Great Video Steve . What model of Kobalt Impact Gun are you using ? Would be helpful to bag and label each set of bolts for reassembly . Did not see if you used a set of Grinding Googles when 'Connor' was doing his stuff 🙄. Well done !
Thank you so much for the positive feedback! The impact gun is the garage;s tool and I did not purchase it. The next time I am there I will find out and let you know. I do back and label all of the nuts, bolts and sometimes parts, but do so after the filming of the episode. It's the only way of keeping track of what goes where. And thank you so much for the reminder to wear the safety goggles. A one eyed mechanic only has a 50% efficiency!
