This is one of the greatest movies ever made in my opinion. Jeff is incredible. I wonder if we are too few who likes this kind of movies. Otherwise I can't understand why it didn't do better. Jeff should has got an Oscar for this apperance.
Oscars u.a.preise abräumen.Aber was weiss ich schon als laie..ausser das anscheinend der covid19 virus , bei etlichen nicht lunge sondern das HIRN angegriffen hat
I met Jeff Gouldblum at a Studio one day ( Had no ideal ! .... that he was VERY TALL ! ) at least 6'-6" , I told him that " Mr. Frost " was one of my favorite movies . The look of surprise on his face and when he said " You don't look that old to know that movie ! Lol ... at that time I was in my late 30's I think but I still looked 26 or 28 . I said I hope a part 2 will ever be made .... he said well ??? Let's see .... then a Assistant Director from Spielbergs Dinosaur movie started calling him , he said later Craig ! I said Later ! Very Cool and Talented Piano player too ! .
Like the movie has no scenes of direct violence, but evil and death is always present. All is in the implicitly. The thrill is always there ... Jeff is an excellent...
i love how the movie ends with a soundtrack of Liza Minnelli song "So sorry i said".... it was the first time i heard that song and i think it's very good choice as an end to this movie...
@MonacoBlast Murdering Mr. Frost would prove "...that you believe in me and that I'm stronger than passing time." I don't know why I like this movie so much. Another good one is "Fallen."
cause despite that it is a decent movie, critics didn't care for it and it didn't make a whole lot of money, if there's no money in releasing something again or updating it for modern audiences, they won't put forth the effort
I love the sinister atmosphere of this movie. Very dark and mysterious; it gives me the chills:) Jeff's performance is outstanding. I think he's very convincing and, well, I can't help it, very sexy too:) I bought a 2nd hand DVD of this movie and will get it tomorrow; I am very happy with that. Especially since it seems to be kind of a curiosity....?
Frost, "Oh the body, I was just finished burying it when you showed up." Deitweiler "thats just the sort of answer I was expecting." Frost "What you do you mean ? What, do you think Im kidding ?" "I will be back tomorrow, with a warrant." Frost "Yes, that would seem to be the proper thing." Dang the dialog is this movie is awesome and creepy as hell,
bvery good movie i bought it online sent from canada a RARE VHS movie i had never heard about but i am a huge fan of jeff goldblum so many movies havent come to dvd.good flick
@67maverick We're all either in denial or heavily medicated. Today in the news was a bit about a 3 year old child that was shot in head. This movie is tame compared to what's really going on.
Sooo does Mr. Frost wish to " merge" with KB's character or something? That's just my opinion though, seeing as he was in the bedroom and I couldn't help but think of... maybe I should just watch the movie, heh.
@nananui Hi there, well, that's too bad. Perhaps you can get one from ebay? On the other hand; dvd-players can be made compatible with region-code 2; it just needs a small change in the software. But it's ofcourse not entirely legal:p Really, you wrote to a Dutch boy in WWII? Wow, that's a long time ago!! Did he survive the war? Good to hear your granddaughter and her husband like Amsterdam;) It's a lovely city! Hmm yes, Jeff is phenomenal in Adam Resurrected. I think it's one of his best roles.
The fact that he said god and the devil had a game they made up that determines where you go when you die is entirely slept on. The subtle implication that the God you worship is just as petty, cruel, and selfish as the devil you despise is such a 4d chess move. Like " the only reason you worship that guy and despise me is because we flipped a coin on who plays which role."
The idea of a devil is a bizarre one. He seeks to wrought evil but can only do so much with his power. God on the other hand, has unlimited power and yet allows such evil to not only exist but to spread like a disease. That inaction is so far more malevolent than anything the devil could ever do. The devil at least does not pretend to be good.
@GimletWeapon it threw me off but yes it actually is a word its just a lazy one he could have said YOU HAVE ALL UNDONE.... but instead he said you undid what took millions of years etc or whatever the line was lol
now i remember why i had return to post comment - Why would the "devil" himself have waited for the woman-psychologist - to have embodied someone toward spreading his influence? Alan Bates' character would have been a deserving host. for he was neither a believer nor someone of incredulity. He seemed to me he was APPROPRIATELY open to influence. and who would ever just take photo of terribly tempting, and perfect meals and desserts - such as that Baked Alaska? Jeff Goldblum, surely looked stunning, though, and totally seductive as the Opposer, himself! (meaning: whatever he plays, I WILL definitely; watch TO Just WATCH!!!) so thank uploader! - oh - perhaps, the flick had to go on for longer the time - hey? - if it was going to be considered "A film?" who knows and frankly "who cares" - Mr. Goldblum, did arrest and keep my attention through IT!
oh, why thank you again, Kamel. if you do have the opportunity - do watch this film. for no other reason, than the persona, which Jeff renders to the devil - is this movie, in some irresistible way; exquisite.
don't know the guy myself... I'm Buddhist, not theist. in Greek, he is known as "the opposer" - however, I have never believed in other forces than those which derive from our own imagination - to mean that much at all. We are as children may be, during those times when fear frightens us - into a state of assuming NO responsibility for our deeds. And that, i believe is truly "small-minded" a Major choice to make at those times of human pinch. Sorry to have disagreed, but I feel we all have a right to believe WHATEVER we believe. (although I feel will be receiving a philosophical, even a deadly moral "stoning" for having offered my own opinion, as disagreement. It has nothing to do with you; an individual, so please excuse me. mankind has always preferred to refer to God for guidance AND ESPECIALLY; REWARD. and the Devil - for anything, by "his" own hand; DONE!
OH, hi again, Kamel! yes, that Mr. Frost certainly did keep my attention, and as well, he looks so much alike to one off my brothers. not that my brother is that bad of a guy - though - he is a cad... thank you, Kamel! and greetings to you once again - here I was on my break - and was reminiscing about some details about this film. Good Night to you. grecia.
"What he said" QUIZ: 7:19 "??? murder by 5 years old, ??? brothers and sister sell their body for crack" 7:27 "It's taking from ???" 7:56 "I know what they can ???" Please help me :) Thank's to anyone whoo respond me!
How is murdering your patient the worst thing you could ever do? Even God murdered his only Son. Okay, sacrificed. The Devil (Mr. Frost) needs one person that believes in him. I really love this movie, but I could have come up with a better premise.
Well because a psych ward is meant to heal people of their illnesses so when somebody who is supposed to be taking care of somebody kills A patient I can’t think of anything more twisted than that
The problem with this scene, in fact, the problem with the whole movie- as I see it - is that the character of Goldblum, who's an exceptional actor, is that he is too passionate. As a murderer and torturer, these atrocities can only take place when one lacks empathy. The hallmark of a sociopath is his, or her, lack of emotion - even for the Devil, so to speak. In the event of a lie detector test, a true sociopath will not have an elevated heart rate when lying, because the individual cannot distinguish between right, and wrong, has no shame, or remorse. In this scene, the "Devil" is far too human.
This is one of the greatest movies ever made in my opinion. Jeff is incredible. I wonder if we are too few who likes this kind of movies. Otherwise I can't understand why it didn't do better. Jeff should has got an Oscar for this apperance.

Literally one of the best portrayals of the Devil ever. This movie was amazing.
Creepy movie :S but Jeff is a marvelous actor in here though. He deserves a little more praise than he gets today. ♥
amen to that... in MY opinion he was violently underrated as an actor.
Well I liked this movie but Jeff have been very uneven in his acting. From corny to serious and back to corny
He has tended to be guilty of overacting as well
"Stronger than passing time..." One of my FAVORITE movies.
God why is this not out on DVD?!?
GREAT FILM!!!
This is the definition of slept on performance
Jeff Goldblum soooo makes this movie. I love the way he speaks; no matter what role he plays, he has you - uhh - *hanging* on every... single... word.
Ive had a copy on VHS since I was 9 yrs old and I still watch it ! Cant find this shit anywhere
2:15 when JG subtly looks down when Doc asks who he is… that us so absolutely fantastic.
Oh wow...I must watch this again. Jeff Goldblum's so sinister-hot in this!!!!
I met Jeff Gouldblum at a Studio one day ( Had no ideal ! .... that he was VERY TALL ! ) at least 6'-6" , I told him that " Mr. Frost " was one of my favorite movies . I love his voice & his acting, unique is what he is.
i love how the movie ends with a soundtrack of Liza Minnelli song "So sorry i said".... it was the first time i heard that song and i think it's very good choice as an end to this movie...
They never would have left her unguarded, or him unrestrained in a room alone.
This is tier one acting!!
Got damn that’s a fine specimen of a man.
We need a release of this on disc
1:36 Love his reaction "Gosh, this woman is sooooo anoying!" XD XD XD
thanks for posting - always wanted to see this film and now you reminded me I have to!
@MonacoBlast Murdering Mr. Frost would prove "...that you believe in me and that I'm stronger than passing time." I don't know why I like this movie so much. Another good one is "Fallen."
he's SUCH a babe.
Why isnt this movie on blu ray?
cause despite that it is a decent movie, critics didn't care for it and it didn't make a whole lot of money, if there's no money in releasing something again or updating it for modern audiences, they won't put forth the effort
i've looked and looked for this on dvd, they didn't release it.
I love the sinister atmosphere of this movie. Very dark and mysterious; it gives me the chills:) Jeff's performance is outstanding. I think he's very convincing and, well, I can't help it, very sexy too:)
I bought a 2nd hand DVD of this movie and will get it tomorrow; I am very happy with that. Especially since it seems to be kind of a curiosity....?
I wish they would release this movie! I have been trying to get it for years now. It's an American movie...what is the problem?
JEFF IS BRILLENT IN THIS!
*brilliant

Oh, so this is where the makers of the series Lucifer got the idea of the theraphy sessions between Lucifer and Linda came from
Worth watching for Jeff Goldblum. He's mesmerizing. But the film itself,if you're not a J.G.fan,watch at your own risk.
I like both
this movie should be remade
Frost, "Oh the body, I was just finished burying it when you showed up." Deitweiler "thats just the sort of answer I was expecting." Frost "What you do you mean ? What, do you think Im kidding ?" "I will be back tomorrow, with a warrant." Frost "Yes, that would seem to be the proper thing." Dang the dialog is this movie is awesome and creepy as hell,
most charismatic Satan ever
bvery good movie i bought it online sent from canada a RARE VHS movie i had never heard about but i am a huge fan of jeff goldblum so many movies havent come to dvd.good flick
I really wanna see this movie now. Does he reveal himself at some point in the movie not just by saying he's the devil but physical?

Great fucking movie
@67maverick We're all either in denial or heavily medicated. Today in the news was a bit about a 3 year old child that was shot in head. This movie is tame compared to what's really going on.
Remake! With Goldblum starring in it again!
That would be a sequel, if Jeff Goldblum would star in it again.
Sooo does Mr. Frost wish to " merge" with KB's character or something? That's just my opinion though, seeing as he was in the bedroom and I couldn't help but think of... maybe I should just watch the movie, heh.
Great movie
"I can check!" lmao

No saying uh uh uh in a sentence is your greatest invention.
they have a greater fear of me than love of their god..........so true
@MonacoBlast I'm not talking about violence. It is the acting, the plot, the script etc. The real world is way too horribel.
And also at 3:00
"You took a few years and ??????? centuries of effort"
Can u post the scene where they're in the elevator?
@BeeDotSix holy crap, realized it's not even on DVD in North America - what the heck?? any info anyone?
@Astharot90 and 3:39
"All this day i know ?????"..."Mr.frost, but where is your enthusiasm?"

@Astharot90 he said "undid"
Having been suicidal when I was younger and how life is so much sweeter now that I am older, I would say no.
@MonacoBlast Passion over detached thought.

Sorry I like JB but I have to say I hadn't seen this movie before and when I did I just couldn't even get through it. I thought it was so dumb
Jeff with long hair is a big no no
