Here's a nice mid-morning feel good clip from "The Flim-Flam Man" (1967); with George C. Scott delivering a wonderful present-tense life appreciation rant while him and his younger unsure con partner travel the pastoral daytime countryside by train tracks trying to escape the law.

Mr. Frost (1990) - Jeff Goldblum Vs. Kathy Baker

A clip collection of confrontations from "Mr. Frost" (1990) as Jeff Goldblum, in an under seen and dazzling performance as the metaphysical and mystical evil entity of a man (who could be "The Devil" himself) butts heads with Kathy Baker's age of reason doctor/scientist figure.

Jeff is so atractive in this movie❤️🔥
jeff was so hot in this movie omg
2:15 when JG subtly looks down when Doc asks who he is… that us so absolutely fantastic.
The fact that he said god and the devil had a game they made up that determines where you go when you die is entirely slept on. The subtle implication that the God you worship is just as petty, cruel, and selfish as the devil you despise is such a 4d chess move. Like " the only reason you worship that guy and despise me is because we flipped a coin on who plays which role."
F me, that was really good.
I love his voice & his acting, unique is what he is.
We used to make ‘horror’ films that are actually scary. 99% of what passes for ‘horror’ these days is either unimaginative, formulaic, sensationalist, plain bad, or all four. This film is in a world of its own.
I read an article in French stating that the whole movie was about incest, the father raping his daughter and now having to face what he turned her into. And this scene was analyzed as a metaphor for the violence of incest. The girl symbolized the protagonist who was a victim of her father, caught and killed by an unknown and allmighty force. What do you think of that ? I haven't seen this theory elsewhere on the Internet. What's your opinion, guys ?
_"Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault."_ OSCAR WILDE _The Picture of Dorian Gray._ 1891. Preface
I case anyone is wondering, Mordacai told his new partner to let the air out of all the tires at half pressure so that they would sink onto the tracks but still have enough air to move.
Frost, "Oh the body, I was just finished burying it when you showed up." Deitweiler "thats just the sort of answer I was expecting." Frost "What you do you mean ? What, do you think Im kidding ?" "I will be back tomorrow, with a warrant." Frost "Yes, that would seem to be the proper thing." Dang the dialog is this movie is awesome and creepy as hell,
Is there a reason why Doctors and Nurses has never had a DVD release? Other Australian kid's family movies from the early 1980s like Ginger Meggs, Fatty Finn, Bush Christmas and BMX Bandits are all on DVD. I remember seeing Doctors and Nurses on video in the mid eighties. Then it got shown on television.
I met Jeff Gouldblum at a Studio one day ( Had no ideal ! .... that he was VERY TALL ! ) at least 6'-6" , I told him that " Mr. Frost " was one of my favorite movies . The look of surprise on his face and when he said " You don't look that old to know that movie ! Lol ... at that time I was in my late 30's I think but I still looked 26 or 28 . I said I hope a part 2 will ever be made .... he said well ??? Let's see .... then a Assistant Director from Spielbergs Dinosaur movie started calling him , he said later Craig ! I said Later ! Very Cool and Talented Piano player too ! .
The problem with this scene, in fact, the problem with the whole movie- as I see it - is that the character of Goldblum, who's an exceptional actor, is that he is too passionate. As a murderer and torturer, these atrocities can only take place when one lacks empathy. The hallmark of a sociopath is his, or her, lack of emotion - even for the Devil, so to speak. In the event of a lie detector test, a true sociopath will not have an elevated heart rate when lying, because the individual cannot distinguish between right, and wrong, has no shame, or remorse. In this scene, the "Devil" is far too human.
it's on my horror movie bucket list for now! and hope to share this to my sons when they have sleepovers!
Sorry I like JB but I have to say I hadn't seen this movie before and when I did I just couldn't even get through it. I thought it was so dumb
If I recall the rest of the movie doesn't measure up to this opening sequence (how could it, though?)
Loved this movie!
Does anyone know if this has been released on blu ray?
A movie showing a bygone Era from a child's point of view. And not made from Disney.
still wonder if you can do this stunt with a truck
The special effect is simple but it's so perfectly done that it's completely convincing. Great timing on the cut to the very convincing dummy.
The sound effects really add to it !
Now available here... shop.bfi.org.uk/the-appointment-blu-ray.html
Just ordered the new BFI blu ray.
We need a release of this on disc
They never would have left her unguarded, or him unrestrained in a room alone.
Got damn that’s a fine specimen of a man.
This looks terrifying. Can't wait to see it!
This is tier one acting!!
I wish Dreamchild was on Blu ray or was streaming anywhere instead of being a forgotten classic. It had gorgeous cinematography. It should be remembered and cared for.
Kino Lorber is putting it out this year!

And now I need to change my pants ...
Such a pleasant trailer for a movie about childhood rape.
Not a shred of evidence for it whatsoever
"Stronger than passing time..." One of my FAVORITE movies.
Why isnt this movie on blu ray?
cause despite that it is a decent movie, critics didn't care for it and it didn't make a whole lot of money, if there's no money in releasing something again or updating it for modern audiences, they won't put forth the effort
I just love this old movie, but in my case JESUS is always number one forever
Oh, so this is where the makers of the series Lucifer got the idea of the theraphy sessions between Lucifer and Linda came from
Just finished watching this movie via RUclips TV. Pretty decent flick. It's a bit political but in a humorous way. The political "bad guy," as it turned out, could easily be viewed as Trump. Both being professional con-artists who've turned their grifting skills on taxpayers and the government.
Ive always loved this movie, it just seems simple and easy to watch nothing that requires attention just watch and 😉
Why wasn't the work done by Jim Henson's Creature Shop mentioned?
I wish they would release this movie! I have been trying to get it for years now. It's an American movie...what is the problem?
Great movie...
A very under appreciated little movie, this. It ratchets up the suspense, and it has one doozy of an ending. It’s definitely worth a try.
Jeff with long hair is a big no no
That truck doesn’t look like it would stay on the rails
JEFF IS BRILLENT IN THIS!
*brilliant
@@thewildbruce5612 da.
i only watched this movie with HBC scenes in it. she has little screen time, though.
yea sadly
This is the definition of slept on performance
This HAS to be one of the WORST films I've EVER seen. I Know this is a very poor VCR recording, but there's some really shocking editing going on here !! I remember seeing this as a child in the 70's and thought it was laughable back then. I can't believe Richard Greene agreed to appear in this DROSS. The island of the lost should stay LOST....PERMANENTLY !!!
Jeff Goldblum soooo makes this movie. I love the way he speaks; no matter what role he plays, he has you - uhh - *hanging* on every... single... word.
