Over been on the fence about the hi boost since you posted this, but decided to go ahead and give it a try. Your discount makes the price tough to beat, so hopefully will work for us. Thanks very much for the discount!
Cell signals are so important at home let alone on the road! I can’t imagine what you two go through to get a good cell signal! Look forward to your next video and it was great 👍 to see you on with Matt’s! Good luck on the super C!
We desperately need something to boost our signal. This was great information Izzy. Still trying to decide what's the best for our situation. So many options out there. The HiBoost sounds like a really good option. Thanks for sharing.
Love the video on cell boosters. I like how you show us how it works giving a demo on it and seeing which works better. Thank you Izzy and MJ. Very good job. Sherri
We bought the weBoost RV 65 which I have been happy with, as long as I can get any signal at all it will boost to speeds that allows us to stream TV, comes with a collapsible 25' pole and can be completely set up in five mins....its $650.00 for the complete system.....
Thanks for the comparisons, very helpful. Also just watched you on your visit with Matt. Liked the video and the comments, a fun video from start to finish. Should do more of that. Blessings!
Thank you guys for going on Matt’sRV review special because I’ve been looking for people from New Jersey because everybody else is from the south or the west or the middle of the country there’s no East Coast except for the guys at the Pennsylvania would have gone seasonal instead of camping at different campgrounds thanks again glad I found you
All of what u described is going to depend on your needs. Of course location is a big issue of where it is used. Thanks again for the true and fair review 👍👍
Hey Izzy, we have a net gear nighthawk router connected to two directional antennas like you, when we need it. Most of the time we get great signal with net gear Mimo antenna that sticks to the window. We are still using the $35 plan we got from your video in January. We also have a weeboost rv setup with a 25 foot pole and a directional antenna when we really have to reach for a signal. Everyone needs to be prepared to have multiple options for getting a signal when they are in a challenging signal area. Great video, Lar
Great information. Thank you so much for breaking this down for us. You've done some great research. MIMO Dual antenna may be the route we end up going. Subscribed and looking forward to more great videos.
Hi MJ and Izzy...thank you for spreading additional light on this subject! I will be curious to what the technological improvements are when we get something after the new years. I am still somewhat shocked that satellite internet never really took off. I know why....$$$$. But still, everybody could use it then. My wife brings music talent to our mountain community. So, while traveling, we will still want a decent connection for her to do her daily business. And, of course, also to bring in streaming capability for the rainy days. Stay safe out there! Oh...is Jason's school doing online or in person classes?
Hey Alan satellite never took off because of the cost and speed compared to cellular. Jason is part time in school and part time virtual. Thanks for watching and the comment. Izzy
Off the subject - izzy I also will be getting a super C about the time frame you have indicated so if you keep us posted on your quest to find the best SC that will save me a whole lot of time. If i buy the same unit anything that fails you can pass along a DIY video and save me a whole lot of cash ( kind of like a Izzy & M J consumers report. Also keep this in mind if you want to get together and purchase two we could get a even better price, We are retired and flexible so we could go anywhere to pull a deal like that off.
Great video! However, my concern is you mounted the HiBoost antenna right in the middle of the two other antennas. I feel that interfered with the signal. I'm pretty sure the directions (at least with other boosters) tell you to mount those away and unobstructed from other things that can interfere with a signal. That very well may be why you lost on the upload and you might have gotten even better download. Just a thought...
@@EndlessRVing If you don't want it, I'll take it. I'll pay for shipping it you want to send it to someone who will use it and needs it! ;-) I'll PayPal you right away.
I have the directional antenna as well. I prefer the omni just so you get more signal coming in and don't have to point. Plus as you stated you get all providers. You do lose power in the directional. We are now having to rethink our internet since our TOGO contract ended. Back to the drawing board. lol
Camper Life hey William we do have a flush mount on the roof that works pretty good. If reception is bad the big gun comes out. Thanks again for watching. Izzy
the cellular booster... help with plain use of a cell phone -- calls -- etc...as well -- so you need both for different reasons - situations -- a booster and good external antennea.. and if you are serious -- on celluler data use -- you need a cellular modem -- mofi - pepwave -- others
Thanks for the review. How did you attach your antenna (PVC pipe ) to the ladder. I couldn't tell what type of clamps you used. We have a similar set up except use a Pepwave router and Proxicast Mimo directional antenna. The proxicast is a lot cheaper and has done great for us. I have it attached to a PVC pipe which I velcro to the ladder or to the Wingard TV antenna. THX!
Great information Izzy and MJ,so far I have been getting by with campground WiFi,witch as you know is iffy at best. Would this system work to boost there signals ? Enjoy your trip !!
Download speed is important for those of us "streaming" TV. but for those working while on the road, upload speed is important also. I'm waiting for the low-orbit satellite internet to arrive. You guy ought to offer to "test it" for them, LOL
Great info. However, what AT&T plan are you using that allows you to stream everything? We live full time in our RV and stream where we can using our phone as hot spots. However, that caps the high speed to 25 gigs and gets throttled after that. Having a reliable high speed internet provider would be very helpful.
Your best option will always be dedicated LTR modem and external MIMO antenna. With that said if you do not want to spend the $$ for that the Hiboost is also an option. Thanks for watching. Izzy
Hi Again Izzy this is John Panzino in New Jersey we were looking for a nice campground in the state New Jersey with full hook ups can you give me a couple suggestions thanks
Omg...! You’re saying 5-9 megs and I’m sitting here at home right now and have a download speed of 300 megs...! Can you even watch anything at that slow of speed...?
5-9 mbps with 1 bar of cellular. Pre antennae not even 1 mbps. With good signal we get 40-50 mbps. We also have 300 down at home but that is a hardwire setup to the home. That is not possible in a motorhome. We can stream @ 5mbps down Thanks for watching and the comment. Izzy
Endless RVing Thank you for the response... I realize that I’ll never get the same speeds on the road as I do at home but I guess that I thought it would be more than that... Nice to know that you can stream movies at only 5mb...! Have a great day and be blessed.
Troy Stutsman 5 mbps is with poor reception. We are out in the road now and getting 42 mbps. It all depends on your location. Where we shot the video was a good opportunity for the booster because cell reception is normally very poor. Izzy

Hey Roy that system would be great but that’s some time out still. Would love to be beta tester for sure.

Can I connect an ethernet cable from the booster directly to my laptop or desktop? Thank you for posting this very helpful video!
Not on the booster. You can do that from the mofi.

So, if I’m mainly downloading/steaming (RUclips, Netflix etc.) would the Netboost be the best option?
Your best option will always be dedicated LTR modem and external MIMO antenna. With that said if you do not want to spend the $$ for that the Hiboost is also an option.
Thanks for watching.

Endless RVing I thought the Hiboost had a faster download speed in your test?
Mike Chevin faster than nothing but not as fast as an external mimo antenna.
