PoV: You're watching some different factory setups, a spidertron crossing a lake, an engineer chasing a biter before getting chased by a horde of biters, trains crossing a three-way dual-rail junction, an artillery base getting supplies from a train, robots flying between roboports, a forest fire, and another engineer getting killed by biters while clearing a nest.
This song perfectly encapsulates the feeling of playing Factorio. It starts with a feeling of curiosity. Quickly, the melody transforms into a serene and methodical, trance-like tune, as you start getting into the gameplay loop. Not long after notes of wonder start permeating the melody and make it more colourful, symbolizing joy of the player as they grow to like the game more and more. But then there's a little bit on anxiety and uncertainty, maybe your base fell to the biters and you lost the game, maybe the game throws you for a loop with something complicated and you're a bit lost? No matter, you overcome the hurdle and after that, the melody goes back to being wonderous again, as there is nothing left but pure enjoyment and bliss. The factory must grow. And the few scary notes at the end is when you realize it's 5 am and the sun is already up!
I first listened to this song as I walked a neighboring street at night in the winter, where snow covered everything and the lights were like tiny suns in the fog of the falling snow, and now every time I listen I vividly remember that scene and all the emotions that came with, awesome the brain works like that.
listening this at 6AM watching the sun slowly rising from the horizon hits so hard..... As an introvert, I absolutely love the atmosphere of loneliness Factorio OST gives - not THAT kind of loneliness that hurts, but rather one you feel just YOU is enough, - and you finally feel content and start appreciating all the small things you enjoy in the moment you live in, despite the ongoing events and the future becoming more and more uncertain and groome every single day.

After playing this game for a few hundreds hours, this title screen theme really hits different To me it's like it encompasses the beauty of automation and immense satisfaction there is to be had in building it, as well as the brief minor key section in the middle that represents when something breaks the cycle you've constructed and you need to implement a fix 10/10 would play again
this song gives me minecraft music vibes for some reason, I guess the nostalgia hits really hard with this. Idk why but this song makes me really really nostalgic about something.

You really do have adaptus mechanicus moments in the game. "Where's light oil going and what happens to it? Dont know. But I know if I dont make light oil the factory comes to a halt, so I make the oil and chant the hyms to appease the machine spirit"
If Factorio had a proper story mode, a slow, higher pitched and slightly modified version would play as you watch the final cutscene withe the rocket slowly taking off...
Love how this is basically an uptempo "Pollution". You can hear it clearly at 1:33, it's straight up just from that track. I wonder if there are some references to other tracks in the game I'm not catching.
