And the reason Lilith had magic in the human world and not Luz is because witches draw magic from the magic bile sack attatched to their heart, while Luz's glyphs are dependant on the natural magic of the Boiling Isles. It is possible though that when Lilith uses up her magic bile that she can't produce more in the human world and would have to return to the Isles.

I loved this! I'm 14, and being a hispanic gay girl watching this cartoon really made me feel better and well represented! I'm really happy you reacted to this cartoon, I hope you manage to make it through this hiatus lol. On another note, could you react to "Butterfly Soup"? If you were to do a "TRYING TO STAN: Butterfly Soup", it's basically a visual novel, it's completely free and is a heartwarming story about young love/baseball lesbians (and one bi girl) growing up and figuring themselves out! The story goes through the 4 main characters points of views and showcases each of their backstories, it has very relatable characters and alot of funny skits. I think you would enjoy its take on alot of deep stuff like parental neglect, anxiety, coming out, etc. etc. and i'm already guessing your favorite might be Akarsha! Anyways its really cute, really sad, and at the end really heartwarming... just a rollercoaster of emotions! I hope you can see this and maybe react to it! The game is free for download on PC.

How about trying to stan Hilda? It's a Netflix original getting a season 2 this fall. A cartoon faithfully representing scandinavian culture in an interesting way as well as being true to earth about common kid problems. Not as hidden meaningish as the rest but just a beautiful wholesome show.

One of the things I love so much about your comments on shows and stuff is how deep and emotionally you dive into the messages of them. Like you really dig into the meaning and not just surface level stuff. I feel like you really pick up on all the meaning and effort the writers put into it. Bill, I first discovered you when you were Trying to Stan the Steven Universe soundtrack, and I was one of the (many) people who encouraged you to watch it. I've since loved your reactions, insights and raw emotional honesty reacting to the show. I recently binged The Owl House and (after a prolonged internet outage I'm back and) discovered this 'stan' playlist/ So now I get to watch it again while being genuinely moved by your commentary. You're right, this is another one of those shows I wish people your/my/any age could have had as kids!

I honestly love the look of this mother beautiful cartoon. Like it's so beautiful just throughout the show, but I LOVE that they just pop off whenever there are any fight scenes. It makes them so much more lively and epic and I just LOVE IT!!!

I feel like this show is an accumulation of the evolution in animation in the past years and it does it so beautifully. I just love how Disney is allowing Dana and the team to have more creative liberty and it's a great show over all.
Fun fact: For those who didn't know the owl house is a spite project Before the show started Dana had done animation for a while and she was told that she was only the hand ya know like she was only an animator and that she couldn't make a show so she decided to make the owl house out of spite
This is EXACTLY what I needed after bingeing the series in one night, it's so fun to see your genuine appreciation bc it lets me be excited about it all over again.
I know you said it a few times in the video but I too wish this was a show airing when I was a kid. I genuinely feel it would have helped me realize that im bisexual a lot sooner than my 20s. Seeing how Luz responds to both men and women ( IE the love interest puppet in ep 2, or even Em calling her a cutie in a later episode) and just having it be there is so wonderful. And Amity is so relatable with her rambling and getting so flustered around her crush. All I can think of is kids growing up now being able to watch this and see characters who feel the way they do and its not portrayed as vague and just as a normal part of life, and just making that ‘OH! Thats me!!!’ Connection that took so long for me to realize due to internalizing the idea that I HAVE to only like boys. I really hope we get to see the relationship develop better, Amity actually confess her feelings to Luz and all that good stuff, but I also do genuinely want to see more of literally every character. I want more Gus and Willow centric episodes damnit! Anyway it was really nice to see someone with such a genuine reaction to everything!
Hey thethirdbill I just wanna say that I've only just recently found your channel but you are already one of my favorite youtubers, nowadays its hard to tell who is genuine or not especially over the internet, but I can tell you are a very compassionate and caring person. Watching your videos brings me so much joy and comfort and I'm very thankful for that. Keep doing what your doing and I wish you the best. Also if you need a suggestion for your STAN animation series I suggest giving Rwby a shot, It might take a bit to get into mostly because it wasn't made by any big company so the animation quality might not be the best in the first few seasons, but I think the story telling and the characters make up for that. Rwby covers a lot of sensitive topics in a very respectful way anywhere between abusive relationships and PTSD to racism and bigotry watching the characters go through all this and overcoming it is something I think you would appreciate. Also trust me there are a lot of "Vibes" in this show as well.
That last bit about your sister made me cry a bit. I feel the same way about my younger sisters and it's so nice to see how younger generations get to experience the same things I did in a different way because of the progressions we've made in society

Back in December a friend showed me the first episode and I didn't really get into it. Today I had time and binged watched the rest of the season. It's just so well written and the animation is gorgeous. One of the many things I appreciate that the show doesn't treat Luz as some savior from a different world. She is just a normal kid who has to work hard and figure out her own path. If you were to do a "TRYING TO STAN: Butterfly Soup", it's basically a visual novel, it's completely free and is a heartwarming story about young love/baseball lesbians (and one bi girl) growing up and figuring themselves out! The story goes through the 4 main characters points of views and showcases each of their backstories, it has very relatable characters and alot of funny skits. I think you would enjoy its take on alot of deep stuff like parental neglect, anxiety, coming out, etc. etc. and i'm already guessing your favorite might be Akarsha! Anyways its really cute, really sad, and at the end really heartwarming... just a rollercoaster of emotions! I hope you can see this and maybe react to it! The game is free for download on PC.

How about trying to stan Hilda? It's a Netflix original getting a season 2 this fall. A cartoon faithfully representing scandinavian culture in an interesting way as well as being true to earth about common kid problems. Not as hidden meaningish as the rest but just a beautiful wholesome show.

One of the things I love so much about your comments on shows and stuff is how deep and emotionally you dive into the messages of them. Like you really dig into the meaning and not just surface level stuff. I feel like you really pick up on all the meaning and effort the writers put into it. (Also I like how you call it "vibes" because you don't want to assume sexuality. Luz is bi, so it really applies here!)
The first video I watched from you was your Trying to Stan the Music of Steven Universe, and you're able to pick out all the little things in lyrics and visuals and practically guess the whole story from just that. You're really observant and I love all the emotion you put into what you say, which just doesn't seem common enough (it's really refreshing to see a guy letting his emotions out, especially over things like this).

It is actually an unstable in-between full of chaos where most end up in usually through criminal means (i.e. Bill Cipher destroying his home dimension). Not to mention that all of Bill's gang are classified as some kind of Demon or the other. It's not difficult to start DRAWING conclusions from there; this being animation and all (🤭 Sorry, I couldn't stop myself).

Bill, I first discovered you when you were Trying to Stan the Steven Universe soundtrack, and I was one of the (many) people who encouraged you to watch it. I've since loved your reactions, insights and raw emotional honesty reacting to the show. I recently binged The Owl House and (after a prolonged internet outage I'm back and) discovered this 'stan' playlist/ So now I get to watch it again while being genuinely moved by your commentary. You're right, this is another one of those shows I wish people your/my/any age could have had as kids!
Heck yeah! I’m glad you loved this series and all it’s complexities. Also at some point you should check out the dragon prince, it’s on Netflix, currently has 3 seasons (4th has been confirmed) and has the same writers as those who did Avatar the Last Airbender.
I honestly love the look of this mother beautiful cartoon. Like it's so beautiful just throughout the show, but I LOVE that they just pop off whenever there are any fight scenes. It makes them so much more lively and epic and I just LOVE IT!!!

I feel like this show is an accumulation of the evolution in animation in the past years and it does it so beautifully. I just love how Disney is allowing Dana and the team to have more creative liberty and it's a great show over all.

Before the show started Dana had done animation for a while and she was told that she was only the hand ya know like she was only an animator and that she couldn't make a show so she decided to make the owl house out of spite
This is EXACTLY what I needed after bingeing the series in one night, it's so fun to see your genuine appreciation bc it lets me be excited about it all over again.
I just recently checked out Owl House and I'm just glad somebody else is enjoying it as much as I am.
I know you said it a few times in the video but I too wish this was a show airing when I was a kid. I genuinely feel it would have helped me realize that im bisexual a lot sooner than my 20s. Seeing how Luz responds to both men and women ( IE the love interest puppet in ep 2, or even Em calling her a cutie in a later episode) and just having it be there is so wonderful. And Amity is so relatable with her rambling and getting so flustered around her crush. All I can think of is kids growing up now being able to watch this and see characters who feel the way they do and its not portrayed as vague and just as a normal part of life, and just making that ‘OH! Thats me!!!’ Connection that took so long for me to realize due to internalizing the idea that I HAVE to only like boys.
I really hope we get to see the relationship develop better, Amity actually confess her feelings to Luz and all that good stuff, but I also do genuinely want to see more of literally every character. I want more Gus and Willow centric episodes damnit!
Anyway it was really nice to see someone with such a genuine reaction to everything!

Hey thethirdbill I just wanna say that I've only just recently found your channel but you are already one of my favorite youtubers, nowadays its hard to tell who is genuine or not especially over the internet, but I can tell you are a very compassionate and caring person. Watching your videos brings me so much joy and comfort and I'm very thankful for that. Keep doing what your doing and I wish you the best.
Also if you need a suggestion for your STAN animation series I suggest giving Rwby a shot, It might take a bit to get into mostly because it wasn't made by any big company so the animation quality might not be the best in the first few seasons, but I think the story telling and the characters make up for that. Rwby covers a lot of sensitive topics in a very respectful way anywhere between abusive relationships and PTSD to racism and bigotry watching the characters go through all this and overcoming it is something I think you would appreciate. Also trust me there are a lot of "Vibes" in this show as well.

Back in December a friend showed me the first episode and I didn't really get into it. Today I had time and binged watched the rest of the season. It's just so well written and the animation is gorgeous. One of the many things I appreciate that the show doesn't treat Luz as some savior from a different world. She is just a normal kid who has to work hard and figure out her own path.
