Welcome back to another crazy video! Today we continue with the journey of creating an extension for the Haunted House facade! Using a surefoam shaper and some elbow grease, we shape up our foam sheets to look like wood siding! Its quite a bit of work but it's totally worth it! Also using a little lumber we come of with a way to create a false roof that can be taken apart and stored! So join me for some fun! and Maybe just maybe you might pick up some new ideas!

Nice idea on the corner supports. Anything that reinforces it will save you repairs later. Turrets look great, but they have a lot of math in them. Luckily with a project like this you can fudge it to make it work. Don't underestimate the value of the details you are carving in. If you give a suggestion of something, people's minds will fill in the rest. Even from the road there will be a giant difference between carved detail and painted lines.
I just like figuring out how to do stuff. The idea came to me as soon as you mentioned the problem in the video, but it took me a couple of days to figure out how to explain it to someone else.
Could you hinge the roof sections in pairs so they would fold flat for storage? Then you would only have to brace between the pairs. You would have to build a jig to bridge the gap and replace the end supports on the sections.
For the bolts holding the roof on if you use eye bolts instead you can eliminate the need to counter sink them and then hang something from the eye.
Those eaves are wide enough you could make some gargoyles to go up there. If you built them on boards you could preinstall bolts to secure them to the eaves.

Thanks man! With a little more thought a guy might be able to make the roof sections hinge. Gargoyles on the top would be cool, but probably not in the scope for this year! Thanks for all the input and ideas
