My Father, the strongest and most honourable person I've ever known, passed away in August, and you released this song just two months later - I can't help but feel like this is exactly the kind of situation for which you wrote this song. And I just got a Last Song Syndrome after hearing this again after a year making me shed my tears as the lyrics remind me of my sister. I know that our christmas won't be the same anymore but I hear her say that everything will be okay. That's my prayer for this year's christmas.
