    5. Off The Wall

As good as Off The Wall is, there are a handful of artists in 1979 that made Disco music of that same quality.
Not a single other artist could have made Thriller, BAD or Dangerous. Even Dangerous's use of new jack swing completely eclipses what a Keith Sweat or Bobby Brown were doing within a similar soundscape.
HIStory's sonic versatility and subject matter alone give it an edge over Off The Wall.

Even though invincible was a great album, and often slept on, it’s hard to compare that to the other albums. It just shows how great his other albums were.

I would say from Off The Wall is a masterpiece because he had hits like Don’t Stop Til’ You Get Enough and Rock With You were all #1 hits that still get play on the radio today. Thriller has to be the most selling albums of all-time because it was a masterpiece to me. We still love that album today, so there were some unreleased songs that could’ve been hits. Bad album was incredible good, but it didn’t have the same success as the first two albums. He ended up worked with Stevie Wonder twice in the same year. Quincy Jones produced all of the first three albums and he had worked with Paul McCartney a couple of times. The years went by he and Quincy Jones parted ways due to disagreement over songs. Dangerous was definitely a classic album, so he decided to work with Teddy Riley as his producer and songwriter. He wanted to make sure every song was a hit, so he did just that with his brainstorming. History album was a double album with mostly of all his greatest hits and some new songs. Invincible was definitely the most slept on album ever made and I owe this album and I liked that album. This Is It was supposed to be the greatest tour of his life, so that day never came because he died before the tour started. If you ask me what is my favorite Michael Jackson album…I’m definitely gonna give you my opinion. Just like what if you ask what is my favorite Michael Jackson song? He doesn’t get enough credit for his work as a record producer and songwriting credits.

Bad didn't have the same success as thriller and off the wall? Bad literally had FIVE number ones. It sold more than 65M worldwide. It was the biggest selling album of 1987 and 1988. Won two grammy awards. BAD became the 2nd biggest selling album of all time by 1991. BAD is also the 2nd biggest selling album of the 80s. BAD was a massive success and was far more successful than off the wall
