At that point a massive change in Iran was inevitable. Without Khomeini there are two scenarios: 1) Without Khomeini, Prime minister Bakhtiar manages to negotiate with the more moderate revolutionaries to form a new government, either restoring the constitutional monarchy with maybe the Shah abdicating in favor of his son, or a republic. 2) The revolution would still happen the same way, but without Khomeini, formation of a theocracy would have lacked in legitimacy. Other than Khomeini, many other Mullahs who were in the theocratic camp were not high enough in rank while the anti-theocracy camp had mullahs like Ayatollah Mohammad Kazem Shariatmadari in their ranks who actually rebelled against Khomeini in early 1980. Iran would still be an Islamic republic but with no supreme leader. The relations with Israel would still be cut though as it was a popular demand of the conservative population.
The first one was much more probable. Shariatmandari and other traditional clerics were not much into politics like Khomeini, and the biggest figure who had political influence other than Khomeini, Taleqani, was not a hard-liner and not in favor of political leadership of clergies like what was later established as "Velayat-e Faghih".
@@asapolanski3005 Shariatmandari was against the mullahs being directly in charge like some Caliph or Imam, but he still supported the vague notion of a Islamic republic (as a normal republic with Islam having some influence in the laws) and he did back the Muslim People's Republic Party, which to the best of my knowledge wanted Islamic democracy. Taleghani was a moderate but he was also close with the Kudish parties, leftists, the People's Mojahedin (MEK)and many other Islamist groups. Many of those guys wanted a revolution to purge the military and the government. Combined with the fact that I doubt Khomeni's death would stop the protests, in fact it would probably intensify them, and Carter persuading the military to stand down would mean the old regime will still fall and Bakhtiar would flee. The real change would come during the negotiation for the constitution which without Khomeini would see no Supreme leader being added to it and in Novermber 79, the students storming the US embassy would be cleared out by the military under the orders of Bazargan.
@@Ali-bu6lo I'm saying that the evidence is overwhelming that the West preferred Khomeini take power, rather than the Communists (who actually were the initial driving force behind the revolution). The west wanted a radical Islamic Iran, to link up with Pakistan and the Afghan Mujahideen to create a "green belt of Islam" on the Soviet Southern flank. This worked, as it was radical Islam that broke the Soviet Union. Even without Khomeini himself, his books had already been written and there were more than enough Mullahs willing to implement his program exactly as was intended (Khamenei, Rafsanjani, etc). The Islamic Republic, or a similar system is GOING to happen no matter what - if the CIA can have any say about it. And it's important to remember that Khomeini himself was NOT a high ranking Ayatollah - that was never even necessary, as the high ranking Ayatollahs all supported his revolution initially. They only disagreed with him defying their higher ranks and eventually usurping their power. Also, these other Ayatollahs were MORE radical and reactionary than Khomeini in some ways. One such way is the fact that many of them were skeptical of democracy and preferred an Islamic Imamate rather than an Islamic Republic (total clerical rule). They were also in favor of tatbir, an infamous Shiite ritual in which mourners cut themselves until they bleed torrentially, to commemorate Imam Hussein's death in the Battle of Karbala - this was something that Khomeini and Khamenei vehemently opposed and banned. Otherwise, it's the Tudeh or MEK that take power, aligning Iran with the Soviet Union and preventing the Afghan Mujahideen, resulting in Soviet dominance over Southwest Asia, and a prolonged Cold War extending well into the 21st century. A constitutional monarchy is not happening at this stage. Nobody revolts against a system, just go bring it right back. Iran WAS already a constitutional monarchy, so a revolution just to reestablish it is silly and would definitely be replaced by a Republic or more radical system in short order.
And now, the truth is that the United States has little alternative but to depend on Israel for much of its Middle Eastern human intelligence. In post-revolutionary Iran, the CIA no longer had a presence there and the CIA's Lebanon station was virtually wiped out in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. embassy in Beirut. The West relies heavily on Mossad for information about terrorism, radical Islamic movements, weapons proliferation and other Middle East-related events. That is why you will not see the US abandon Israel in its war with Hamas, despite being critical of their approach. The humanitarian aid to Gaza is only an attempt to save face with voters. The shared interest Israel and the US have in destroying islamic extremism cannot be overstated.
The biggest mistake was Carter's. After the Shah left Iran, and a provisional government had formed, the ayatollah decided to return to Iran, from France. The French government called the US, and asked them if they should allow him to leave France or not. Carter stupidly said let him go. If only he had intelligently told them "no". There would have been a government hostile to the US and Israel, but without the maniacal theocrats ruling Iran, that animus would have dissipated over time.
I don't think Israelis realize how easily and quickly the feckless Arab governments of the world would turn on them IF NOT for the existence of Iran. Losing Iran as an adversary would completely deligitimze any "normalization" with Israel. The idea that if Iran becomes this ra-ra "we love the West" democracy (extremely unlikely) the whole Middle East would be in peace and just overlook the Palestinian issue is so bonkers to me

Living a big lie means living in hell)).🖤💔
Without the presence of people?? Stop watching west news kid those you saw protesting are 4 % of total population, the majority supports the current wilayat e faqih way of system. We love our leader 💜 ❤️
Brainwashed westerner 26 million plus people voted in this election 😏😉

I agree that all empire one way or another will cramble and fall that's what happening to US empire
this wasn't the only mistake. probably everybody contributed, to make on of the biggest blunders. screw the mossad, shah himself was presented with multiple opportunities to assassinate khomeini but he refused because they didn't want to make a martyr of him.
though this whole thing probably had one benifit. after the islamic republic falls, Iran will be rid of the akhunds/ayatollahs. that helps iran a lot in the long run.
Mossad can still stop AV (Adult Video) Industry in Japan once and for all.
That's how life really is, if you're on top today and the day after tomorrow, those below will be on top.🤗
Not to late correct that mistake!
How did Iran manage to have so much money despite under sanctions for quite a long time? What is the source of their money?
Well done, though the correct name is "Persian Gulf".
USAs lust for OIL in Iran...
The Shah also claimed that President Jimmy Carter was another liberal president who reminded him of Kennedy and who wanted to interfere in Iran's affairs. In a year prior to the Revolution, Big Oil contracts with Iran were expiring; however, the companies never sought to renew the contracts with the Shah, which according to him was a blackmail threat. Ultimately the Shah claimed that the Americans and British colluded against him due to his 1973 nationalization and oil price hike. The BBC report also showed a 1980 CIA analysis, which portrays Khomeini's attempts to contact the US as far back as 1963, during John F. Kennedy's administration.
I like how " Mossad says Hezbollah says", it's like " Mossad says Hamas says" and " CIA says ISIS says".
Just so we've been told who actually works for who.
How am I supposed to learn about the Ayatollah when I'm transfixed by the guys face and pecs 😂 the narrator not Ayatollah 😂
Quite a thorough overview, enjoyed and subscribed
Thanks
We were told that Russia is a weak economy. Now we know.
You can assailant people in other countries... Is this legal?

Great video. Keep up your great work.
Who says it's too late? 🤷🏼♂️

If this is true, 700 million dollars, is a huge amount..per year. Supposed to be for the CITIZENS for their daily living.

God doesn’t bless genociders sorry
Just the nonsense you need much to know how the world running and may understand what was happened in Iran

Arab Gulf you clown 🤡
The people will rise up against our governments in America soon if we keep suffering from these corrupt politicians
Thanks!

one day israel and iran will be brothers again .
… and to realise that none of this wouldn’t have happened had it not been for an unfortunate event in 1948
still talking about Moussad after Oct 7? I mean come on
HELP US TO CHANGE THIS BRUTAL REGIME 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I always wondered how the Iranian military and people let the Ayatollah take full reign
They supported him until he started oppressing them
God bless Iran’s innocent 😢❤
But if not him, it would have been someone else. There were already uprisings and protests. And the people of Iran did this to themselves! They wanted the Ayatollah, they wanted a strict Muslim country. Be careful what you wish for! And Beirut used to be the Paris of the Desert.
Partly yes but many were lied to also. I highly doubt the liberal critics of the Shah (and critique definitely was justified) would have supported the cause if they knew what was coming. It's like Hitler in germany.
There is a serious problem if your slogan has a word 'death' in it.
If Menachem Begin said No, the Israelis did not expect much out of Khomeni
Menachem Begin was a terrorist
He had 30.000 prisoners executed by hanging, some of them as young as 13.
Your information is incomplete, I lived through the times . Please don’t, poison the incitement .
I can't believe this story
Very informative! Thank you for explaining everything! 👍🇺🇸🇮🇱

Where was mossad on oct seven?
Tell me you don’t know what you’re talking about without telling me you don’t know what you’re talking about. Gaza and the West Bank are under Shin Bet, the Israeli home security agency, jurisdiction. Not Mossad.

Their jurisdiction is abroad.
Haha nice try, their jurisdiction is a fraud. And their mission statement is to protect jizzreal, so they failed or let it happen as part of a false flag fiasco. Either way "ewe" are a joke. Thanks for the laugh, ass_iF!@@el_naif

Not like us, they are not good @all?why??😳
Well. It looks to me that the author of this clickbait video claims to be genius, but only in the field of hindsight.
Tired of these self-proclaimed experts in "if this didn't happen, what would have happened."
😂 u have no functional grey matter.

@@1AstritIsm yup. Thanks, im someone who doesnt nitpick people trying to privide even basic education in this overtly ignorant world. If you truly had functioning grey matter, then it would be impossible not to realize, people are getting dumber for lack of basic facts. ANY analysis, that provides factual information should be welcome. Why not bother the vapid marxist lunatics, making everyone dumber with their jargon and solipsism.
Or at least, if nothing else, make a USEFUL critique, education REINFORCING, , not some generalized, "you shouldnt bother". Thats for the gaslighters diluting reality with pure anachronistic bull#$%@
@@1AstritIsm if you did have a working cortex, youd realize ANY attempt to deseminate factual information, even if paired with a subjective analysis, is highly NEEDED in our society, as the population gets dumber by the minute. What do you expect from an open streaming platform? Or at least apply a useful critique, not "why do u bother peon"? Save that for the marxist trogs spreading misinformation , hearsay and propaganda.
At LEAST this analysis comes with a legitimate framing of the facts, with context. Which is more than can be said about 95% of the garbage produced today, either by amateurs trying to become professionals, or even the big outlets that have been corrupted by idiotic marxist ideology, jargon and anachronism.

Oops kid u have no idea about mossad and its operstions😅

Nothing compared to American billion dollars weapon aid.
The slaves (tails) did a good job defending their gods. Usually the gods used slaves and the screams of the slaves were usually louder to show loyalty and obedience. Tails need to work harder! Harmful parasites target the brains of their victims to turn them into mere tools (tails) to serve the harmful parasites! (their gods)
Usually the gods relies on their slaves (good slaves).
Only good tails (slaves defend their gods).
What’s going on in Gaza
Dream on Mossad lol
How come they can’t defend themselves from Hamas
LONG LIVE THE IRANIAN PEOPLE🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷
Can anyone much more enlightened than me explain why Iran are “very close to a nuclear weapon”, yet Israel hasn’t done a thing about it ?
They carried out strikes agains both Iraqi and Syrian nuclear facilities.
It just seems incredible that a country like Iran would be allowed to have the bomb.
After all, they’ve made it crystal clear who their first target would be.
''yet Israel hasn’t done a thing about it'' You are wrong about this. Israel has Mossad agents in Iran carrying out various operations. Including sabotage. It has been estimated that Israel has postponed nuclear production by a lot of years.
Can ask the same about the entire free world really.
@@useyourdelusion6807 eh…… right. Thanks for that
simple, iran found a much more effective hypersonic missile and playing with the west with that 40s tech that can't even be used lol as far as israel; it's like a village in iran lol

You said nothing about Israel bombing an embassy.
This video came out a few weeks ago.
I don’t get what Hamas fights for. An independent country called Palestine never existed. Before 1948 modern day Israel, Gaza, West Bank, and Jerusalem were under British rule
