If you unlock the steering before removing the battery, the steering remains unlocked. It uses a rotating lock that locks either open or closed, not a solenoid that disengages when you remove power
@@Island728 If you leave the car unpowered until the job is complete and the airbag is reconnected, you will be fine. Its when you turn the vehicle key power on that it will set lights if the airbag is disconnected
@@naokisblerbs8566how do you unlock it initially? I’ve done this before but it didn’t seem to stay unlocked so I ended up releasing one side, reconnecting power, turning it and release the other after waiting the discharge period. Pretty time consuming.
