Ok so I’ve been watching for a bit, since I got the urge for a foxbody. Finally got a barn find and wouldn’t you know, it’s an 84 gt just under 118k 5 spd. black on black with a sunroof and premium sound. The dashboard is in beautiful shape. Been parked since 99 I heard. I’m having to hold the key after it cranks to life just in between the crank and normal running position. Tried a brand new key cylinder, it didn’t help. Any ideas?

Is it possible the little spring is worn? Not sure what the parts called but it is lower on the steering column.
