51 years old now… This is the music of my high school days. Sucks getting old, but when I hear this song, it takes me back to a good time. Thanks guys…
@@Jaliel-cs1by yess the concert back than was great.even though San Francisco couldn't get alone with Oakland big fight broke out I got back stage walk pass nwa i was so shy .I met slick rick de la soul too short was there getting at my step sister .we got back stage because she fell off the barony during a brawl .
did you know that this song was written as a joke because the record company wanted a radio song, they made it to fail but it was one of their greatest hits LOL
🖐🏾🖐🏾🖐🏾🖐🏾🖐🏾🖐🏾🖐🏾!!!!!!! Takes me back to college days & those popping 80s college parties! I was a freshman when this dropped, those were the days! I miss them, Mane! 😂
DLS are amongst Rap's eminate masters. Both the recording and video for Me Myself and I are marvelous. For most of us this work cannot be disliked.I❤to enjoy hearing Myself listen to it.They were and are now just as I remember them.A RAPPING POWERHOUSE! I loved their Rap recordings and videos with fond memories. These guys were masters of their Fine Arts and Entertainment Rap craft.❤
I remember meeting de la soul at the Henry's j convention center they had a concert with slick rick the ruler NwA and too short. I think public enemy was therr in Oakland California back in 89
this was one of the first tapes I ever brought back in the day when they came out wit this song an my other tape was Biz for that song Vapors Still Bangers till this day classics 2024 Littyyyyyyuh
Mirror Mirror ,on the wall Tell me Mirror, what is wrong? Why won't de la get their beats And why can't I hear de la's songs? Neither way, their hear to stay Another way to spare my time Cause the best way to hear de la Is with me, myself and I.
That's not entirely true. De La just cemented their love of hip-hop. As a member of Hip-Hop's F1 Generation, RunDMC & The Beastie Boys indoctrinated sheltered suburban kids 5yrs prior into hip-hop. Rick Rubin's early sampling of rock music was a masterclass in bridging genres as well as bringing my white high school classmates into the culture.
@@jigsaw3882 I don't think they were speaking in generalizations there... it was about their own experience of discovering hip-hip. Regardless your comment is pretty true as well
I hear that! I just turned 53 on Monday the 13th & I'm still jamming to it too. It's still on my Playlist along with Buddy remix. That was the song we did our 80s version of the Bus Stop, just slightly tweaking the 70s disco version. Being from NYC🗽 in the 70s/80s, I grew up in the Mecca of Hip Hop from its conception. I was there from the very beginning bcuz my father was an DJ from the late 60s until he passed in '07. He even DJ'ed his own 50th bday party! 😂 My father actually gave me my 1st hip hop record, actually the 1st hip hop record ever recorded. And no, it wasn't Rapper's Delight, it was Spoonin' Rap by Spoonie Gee in 1979, released a year before Sugarhill Gang released their hit. Sugarhill Gang got the credit bcuz it was more commercial, while Spoonie Gee's record was more raw & street. 💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿
Yes!!!!! It is finally here guys! It was so hard bringing this album to digital media, but now it is finally achieved.
Much love stopped looking. Prayers answered.

Amen ! Epic track . Takes me back 😂😂❤
Awesome profile picture brith3r
hey, I’m curious, how is it difficult transferring this to digital media? I never thought much about the process befkre
One of the funkiest beats in hip hop
I would credit Parliament Funkadelic for that
The most
