  • Extremely low water levels have once again exposed a historic town that was flooded when the Folsom Dam went into place -- offering a glimpse into the region’s history at Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. Artifacts, foundations and rock walls from a town that stood before the Folsom Dam completed in 1956 are now visible. KCRA 3's Melanie Wingo reports.

State parks doesn't care about artifacts , if they did they would have thoroughly have already gone through some of these spots. What a joke. When the dam was built they rushed all the mapping.

They do care. But, like all archeological sites - they need funding. Sites around the world are vulnerable in the gap between discovery and funding to excavate. Looters do the most damage at this time. So don't loot. Taking = looting.

      Why worry about the drought??
Everyone who makes the laws lives in gated HOA where they water their lawns, flowers and butth*les with those fancy french toilets.... Talking to you Serrano , gold river, and Los Lagos.
