Thanks for this video. That provoke macro is pretty cool. I just started playing this exact build and I've been wondering if there were any good tips on playing it. I would love to see a video on how you play this as a support toon for your Sampire. I'd like to start doing that since my new Sampire char is on a different account.
Hey.. thanks for the comments.. Sorry for the delay.. Not sure if you found any good tactics for it yet.. but it really depends on the encounter and how "active" you want to be with the toon. For me, I usually play this account on a second computer.. so I'm generally doing as little as possible with it.. Its primary purpose is to just "hang around" in the right area, ideally without being attacked and provide its buffs and occasional area peacemake or provoke. If there is a specific encounter youd like to see I could maybe provide some advice. With Roof, hes generally just hanging out in the corner of the room providing buffs and the occasional greater heal. I use a GamePad (Logitech G13) to have a little keypad for his macros.. Then move him into position when I need to. For Doom, its pretty much the same thing, but you have to have a certain timing with the area peace.. I have a couple of videos where I do both the roof (keying and the maing roof) and Doom.. with a Sampire and Bard... I show the bard technique in the Doom video. If you are actively playing this toon, its a lot more fun.. Cast Rising Colosus if you are alone... area peace and provoke a lot... maybe run the discordance masteries for direct dmg. If you are in a team (or with a sampire).. sometimes the RCs cause a big headache for sampires.. (they do for me anyway) because they are attackable, and get triggered by "Nearest Enemy" and they have a nasty habit of Purging vampiric embrace.. Generally in a group if you are actively playing, just focus on using Provoke and direct Peacemake/Sleep.. along with staying near the action running your buffs. Hop
@@rabidsniper6925 After playing around with this build for a while I really like it and use it often as a support toon. I'm still trying to find the best way to use it for solo though it's definitely less useful for that. Some recommendations I would make are that you use a Mystic's Memento for the talisman to give you +10 focus and a little mana regen. It gives me room on the jewelry to go +15 magery, +15 mysticism, +10 focus with FCR 3. Having FCR 6 is very helpful for casting. And since this build doesn't have meditation skill I decided to go with a crafted non med studded leather suit for the extra LMC to 55. I crafted with only reforging so that I can PoF the suit and I don't ever have to replace it. I did end up using one legendary brittle piece to shore up any missing resists, regen, stats or whatever I'm missing.
@@rabidsniper6925 I forgot to mention I've been using a Logitech G13 for 15 years to play UO. I wouldn't give that up for anything. I have a target nearest and a target next enemy just for the reason you stated above. Sucks when people drop EV's too. Having the target next gets past that.
@@Cork_UO Thanks... great idea on the tally.. yeah mine is not very well geared.. it seriously gets very little love for the amount of use I put it through.. as far as Solo play.. well I would agree.. you're pretty much limited to trying to get things provoked onto each other or onto a Rising Colossus. There are some okay AoE spells in the mystics book that I mess around with occasionally, but as you say.. its far less useful for solo play. There are probably a few high-end encounters that can be done.. that sounds like a fun challenge actually.. Thanks for the comments! Yes the G13.. love it..
Haha well.. I can try.. I havent been doing much playing lately due to some RL stuff.. Im still trying to piece together my "pirate" video thats been half done for a while now... It is still very much one of the best support builds you can make.. Survivability factor is super high and the buffs/debuffs possible combined with the high damage output from Rising Colosus is pretty much (IMO) one of the best skill combos. Magery is really only used for basic travel and Invis.. maybe some greater healing and arch curing.. no offense spells really needed/used in this build from Magery.. A few folks have shared some more "damage" focused simiular builds.. such as using Spell weaving and 4x120 bard.. which has some of the highest damage output that Ive seen... but all around The Mystic Bard is a must have... again.. this is all my opinion.

Not sure if your still into the game, however do you thing this build is still Viable? Mage and mist is still recommended?
