1. I have a pair of glasses in each car plus an additional pair in case I go out without the car. One aviator, one wayfarer, one modern. 2. Grey silicone wedding ring. 3. Rotation of 3 watches. 4. I like the aesthetic of a belt, so I wear one. 5. If wearing Oxford shoes, a mirror shine....if I'm allowed to call that an accessory, haha
Your body type, height are exactly the same to me but I'm slightly skinnier than you. I love your channel, minimalism, and clothes choice. Very honest and calm when talking. What a real gentleman. Keep up a good work
I agree with EVERYTHING in this video from no belts to two bags (one more formal and the other casual) and especially the emphasis on minimalism. I have the same style and it took me years to figure it out.
I personally love belts and pocket squares. I've never understood this "anti-belt" movement. I think as long as you buy the right belt of a decent quality and it harmonises with your trousers then it can look great. I've always found rings/bracelets on men a bit weird. Maybe it's just my background but men with rings had a particular connotation where I grew up!
The bags joke was hilarious! Thanks for the insight on rings. I’ve been thinking about them for a bit and this was a great reference. Great video, Brock!
Thanks to you my summer outfits are pretty much what you describe as "simple, no logo". Figured I can still buy all the logos and patterns I want if I have a solid base.
I think one other accessory that is also often overlooked is a signature fragrance. The way you smell is a big part of your identity as you move through the world. Finding multiple signature fragrances for the different seasons or just the ONE that works all year round is a good way to accessorize your olfactory identity as well.
Watch is Rolex like yours but black face. Many like Seiko or similar and are classic and affordable. Bracelet silver Mont Blanc. Briefcase by Coach. Glasses Tom Ford. Rollerball and Fountain Pen Mont Blanc. Shoes are Allen Edmonds.
I had a breakdown and did a self haircut two weeks ago. You know, it turned out quite good. Granted it was only the sides and the neck area but it worked.
I'm pretty new into this, but here's my list: 1. Watch. Casual I go for my trusty Seiko 5 SNKE51. It can be dressed up or down pretty nicely. Gym I go for the Casio PRG-50. 2. Pen. As a fountain pen guy I refuse to use anything but that (with a few exceptions), so I've got to have a beater pen with me. Usually it's the Kaweco sport, but I do have rotations. 3. Pocket knife. CRKT CEO is my choice. Actually surprisingly useful, and the CEO is one that doesn't really scare people unlike the Spyderco PM2 and such. 4. A nice wallet. Doesn't have to be expensive in my book, any leather bifold is good in my book. I have a few to march outfits. Formal occasions would call for no knife and a nicer pen (my pick is the Parker Sonnet), but casual to semi casual this is my list.
Orient Ray II (day/date) is first accessory that I put on every morning! I'm not much of a bracelet guy, but I agree with your other picks. Keep the info coming.
Me too thought about a self haircut but decided to let it grow it’s been 12 weeks. My barber is reopening in July so I will wait. Nice video I have watched a lot of RUclips during the lockdown 👍
Totally agree on belts, mixed on pocket squares. But overall I'd say most guys can generally leave them and they're certainly not compulsory. I just like them, especially with sort of business casual outfits to add a bit or bounce off a tie
As always nice and informative video Brock. Amazing choices. I keep a pen with me just because i like to sign anything and everything (receipts) with my own.
Ugh! Damn you. I’m a photographer that loves old lenses. Now I have to buy a 500 dollar watch. I stayed totally within my budget so far this year. Thanks a lot.
While I agree with your advice in regard to not needing to wear a belt, I have slim hips and it's difficult to buy either a suit, or seperate trousers, that are designed to sit neatly without a belt. In the distant past suits had trousers with waist adjustment and trousers like Sansabelt had concealed adjustment. But not today. Phil.
I am going to sterling silver men's bracelet from a jeweler where I had purchased a few watches. It is minimal in size and design when I first viewed while upon displayed at a good price he has offered.
Belts, Aftermarket Shoelacing, and Hats, expand your existing wardrobe by: 1. Adding accents that take focus away from articles of clothing you like to frequently wear. 2. Tying together articles of colored clothing you otherwise couldn't wear together. 3. Easiest way at add a third color to an outfit.
My wrist feels naked without a watch. Also, completely agree with the belt. If anything, I'd recommend wearing suspenders with a suit, it really elevates the look.
Those Tacs watches are GORGEOUS although the specs on the site say they're rather huge (44-46mm). My wrists are 6 1/4", which if I recall correctly are very similar to yours. How did they wear for you?
A cap is now mandatory for me thanks to the 'Rona. But I might have to strongly disagree with you on the pocket square. That is if I ever get to wear a sportcoat again.
Due to the emergence of mobile phones, some people think to forego using watches which for me is beside the point.watches are there for the aesthetic & function. A mobile can lose its charge and it is cumbersome having to fish through your pocket and use a cel just to check time. Watches show your personality & basically it's a man's jewelry. A good watch is something you can invest in & hand down & if situation calls for, you can pawn or sell easily. I disagree with your take on belts though. Function and aesthetic works for me with belts although I don't use tucked in shirts often.
Love this video!!! No matter what length it is, just know... you have fantastic hair!!! I am envious, to be honest!! Also, that green army jacket you're wearing while talking about bracelets is beautiful!! If you know, can you tell me where it's from? Thank you, as always, for being so absolutely wonderful, uber cool Mr. Brock!!!!! :D
Signet rings, at least in my youth in the early eighties in the UK were coming of age rings either for 18 or more traditionally as was my case, 21 years of age and were always worn on the pinky finger. I now have what was my grandmothers then my mothers wedding ring on my right pinky finger now, it’s now 115 years old, made of Welsh gold my grandfather panned for in the mountain streams of wales. As always Brock, excellent advice, stay well and healthy in that lovely city!
In my opinion, any jacket looks empty and incomplete without a pocket square. If you don't want anything fancy, just go with a simple white presidential fold. Looks a million times better than no pocket square at all.
Hello Brock! Im an old subscriber of your RUclips channel, for far the best one in the media. I have a question for you all people (including Brock) : what do you think about wearing a ring in the middle finger of the right Hand?
Just watched this video again and I hate pocket squares never been a fan of them. I’m fed up of the lockdown in England I was supposed to be in Italy this week on vacation ☹️
I headed up their marketing for a little over a year, but then I decided to go back to my own content full time. Had a lot of fun with PM's stuff, though!
What do you think about necklaces? I always wear at least one, sometimes silver, often times gold (I love the rope style chain). I never see you wearing one. Great video btw
@@BrockMcGoff I believe I got it from ASOS Online Store and the other from ebay. I usually only go chain (no pendant) and minimal, just a hint of flair nothing flashy, you could even say I wear it modestly 😉....
What’s this? A watch sponsor that doesn’t just resell $0.80 watches? Interesting... pricey, but interesting 2:47 also I’m into leather craft so I know the brand “Horween” is the real deal so I’ll definitely be doing my research on these watches. I have no business buying one now but if I find out this brand is dependable, I’ll come back here to use this link, if I remember.
Yeah I usually stay away from watch sponsors because they're almost always "fashion watch" brands. But these guys are putting real design effort (and money) into their pieces. They're not for everyone, but I respect the craft.
Man, a while ago a colleague of mine was selling a ring just like the signet ring on the picture and I really liked it but she had just the one size and it was so big that it was flimsy even on my thumb. Also, I actually kinda stopped wearing belts a while ago, besides bein yet another thing to clean once I'm back home, most of my pants fit me well enough to just not need one.
@Grabhen. If the ring is still available it doesn't cost much to resize it. Any Old-school Jewelry shop, that sells wedding rings can do it on site. Phil.
@@BrockMcGoff check it out on Aer's site. It's $65 and great quality. I like it a lot and own one myself for my EDC, but I've felt a little "out of place" when I wear it across my back. I'd love your professional opinion on older guys like me wearing a sling on my back? Good or not good? Thanks Brock.
If youre concerned about a bracelet being purely aesthetic with no function, you can wear a copper magnet bangle. Looks nice and has some medical benefits according to some.
I’ve had my ears pierced since I was 18 and been loving my small huggies as of late, which was a big switch over from the studs. Other than, been slowly building my watch collection again, and I’m adding more bracelet styles to my collection as well. I also need to get a better bag because the back pack is just reminding me too much of high school and college 😂
I cant leave the house without my mustang survival inflatable life vest and a knife. I live on a small island and take a boat everywhere I go. Safety first
Its funny how I've actually been considering getting the AVL before this video came out. BUT it's enourmous. Despite looking great it will NOT fit many wrist sizes well

Frankly, these days, pants are an optional accessory.
Too true...too true.
I LOVE the fact that you mentioned bracelets. I wear a watch daily but accent it with a black leather bracelet and I love it. Great idea for a video.

I have a simple analogue budget Lorus watch with multiple colours of straps and a bracelet, my most versatile piece by far

Fragrance, necklace, pen
As always nice and informative video Brock. Amazing choices. I keep a pen with me just because i like to sign anything and everything (receipts) with my own.
Could you make/ is there a video on advice for people are on low budgets but want to get into fashion?
Brock spitting truth as usual
What about hats and caps? They can change the entire outfits look IMO
Ugh! Damn you. I’m a photographer that loves old lenses. Now I have to buy a 500 dollar watch. I stayed totally within my budget so far this year. Thanks a lot.
On behalf of watch collectors thank you for showing us a new brand to some of us. Definitely going on a list after Vincero.

What about socks? I like them to make an statement cause my style is pretty simple
The outfits shown in this video made me follow you on Instagram. That minimal style is killin' it!
