I'm very happy with how this book turned out, especially with the addition of the little wooden tag on the front cover. This is a larger book than my usual projects, so I needed to improvise a press. I used Bradel binding for the book.

Is it bad I’ve been watching this on repeat for the last 3 hours? I just can’t get over the way she works and the overall craftsmanship 😅
Nope, not bad at all. It's truly mesmerizing.
Ugh, how do you get your end papers so PERFECT?! I feel like mine always look like they just bubbled up out of a swamp.
Ditto 🤣
Same here!
Maybe your paper is too thin? That’s what I noticed. If the end paper is thicker it works soo much better
The effort, the detail, the aesthetic... this was really beautiful and relaxing to watch.
Another great video. Always love to see your techniques, and it's always extra special when we get an appearance from your pup!
the texture, paper design ❤️ so beautiful 👏🏼
This was so lovely and relaxing to watch! ❤
I love the texture of the cover and the end papers and the ribbon color. This is the first book of yours that I really want to hold and fill up with ink. I am always so impressed by the precision of your work. So beautiful!!
I'm thrilled with the way you've stretched to work in other ways. You're a fine artist and a wonderful instructor through your videos.
Hi... I'm just loving this video... I'm planning to stitch a journal for myself and so could please make a complete tutorial on the stitching technique which u have used in this video ... pleaseeee
Beautiful, i enjoy watching you.. you are very calm and precise.
Perfectly beautiful!
Super neat and the most calm video I watched for book binding 💛😍
Absolutely exquisite!
hey! your last two videos got me inspired to make new sketchbooks with different bindings! I always use coptic stitch because I find it easy 🥰
yes go you! woot woot
Brilliant - enjoyed every minute of this
tour-de-force.
I love your videos so much!!!! They give me a lot of calm!!!!
You do really beautiful work!
I think I’m on the 3rd or 4th time watching this. I’ve learned so much from your videos. Beautiful craftsmanship.
Muito lindo a forma em que você realiza seu trabalho.
Chanel, I could definitely use one like this, too! ❤
I admire your books^^
Beautiful hands. Beautiful work 🙌
Brilliant and beautiful ❤
Muito perfeito! Amei!
lovely
Very nice. Very efficient. I need to make myself a book press…
Your videos always inspire me to get back into book binding but I never stay committed to it as a hobby 😅
¡Que hermoso!. ❤
Merci pour cette vidéo 😊
Hermoso ❤
Muy hermoso ...me encanta lo que muestras y enseñas
Yo siento lo mismo me gustan sus videos si embargo pediria un sonido suave de fondo para enmascarar el sonido del papel pues tengo sensibilidad.gracias
Hopes the update will be faster. I really like the asmr video
Hi, your work is awesom.
Could you share how do you calculate the cover size as compared to the paper size? Thank you. Have a nice day.
New to your channel and bookbinding. You make this look so easy, but I've tried 3 times, a little differently, with only passable results. Am I right that the book is only held in by the endpapers or does the bookblock get glued to the spine? Fascinating watching you work!
which kind of stitching should i use to make flat lay journals
I fell asleep... what did I miss??
🌿🍁⚘️
Love this. Where did you get that text block edge cutting "machine"? I have been Looking everywhere for such a thing. 🙏🏻
That book is so beautiful! Where do you get those big end paper pages?
Loved the video, so relaxing.
A question: how much time do you leave the fabric and the book when it's done at the press?
with this book I pressed it for 3-4 hours, but typically with other case bindings I press them overnight
Yes, I watched this again, like my 6th time🙂. I have a couple of questions....where do you find your paper for the end papers, and do you prep the paper before adding to the book to make them stronger before adding the glue? Is it gift wrap? I want to make a large book like this one, but can’t find end papers large enough. Thank you for producing wonderful videos and your artistry is excellent.
Lindo trabalho
You amaze me everytime i watch you do bookbinding! I happy and fortunate enough i was able to purchase off your website a floral covered mini blank notebook. It looks so perfect like a machine made it. I've been using it for junk journaling and even though its getting stuffed with various types of medium it holds it's shape perfectly. I've also painted a few pages using watercolors and it never bleeds through to the next page. If you ever want me to promote your product's i would be honored to. No charge what so ever i have a website selling a few of my handcrafted items and using Google as my platform i get a decent amount of views each month over 1,000. Keep posting your great video's. Sincerely,
Gina Barber 😁
❤❤❤
Hi! I've been having kind of a hard time making the case, I'm not sure what size to cut the spine board to. I used to measure the text block's spine + both cover boards, but I saw you made it only as wide as the text block's spine. Should I try it like that? :O Maybe it's been turning out weird for me because I have the measurements all wrong!
Wow
Me encanta
What a beautiful notebook, could you please tell me what is the gsm (gram) of endpaper and what is the type of fabric
Great job, congratulations! And then you have a fantastic cutter, can I ask you the brand?
It's linked in my description!
Hands having magic.
At 10:45 minute, what is the purpose of the paper under and on top of the book when cutting with the guillotine cutter?
The clamp can make a mark on the book block and the bottom page can cut roughly!
Hello, I have seen your videos and I have loved them. so super neat and its very good taste. excellent 4 finish. I want to ask you what type of fabric you use for the cover and if you paste it on a very thin paper that we call Japan paper binding. I hope the leasy can tell me. Greetings
Hi! I have a video about making book cloth: ruclips.net/video/bDWSCmMK5bw/видео.html
Your work is beautiful! I've noticed you sometimes use a bristled brush for glue, and for others you use a sponge brush. Is there a particular reason? TIA
Sponge brushes are more disposable than the bristled ones. I like the application of the sponges but glue will accumulate in them and I need to throw them out eventually. If you rinse glue off the bristled brushes regularly, they should last a long time. Bristled brushes should be good quality, check to see if bristles come loose easily before buying.
@@bittermelonbindery Thank you for the reply! Will certainly keep it in mind when buying a new brush. Have had bad results with mine lately, hence the question. Will experiment with the sponge brushes too.
Where do you get good quality book board?
Can the guillotine paper cutter go through 300 gsm watercolour paper of this same thickness (the thickness of the book I mean) ?
Yes it can, I've done it many times
@@bittermelonbindery Thank you
May I ask what is the cutter you use?
It’s in my description :)
@@bittermelonbindery Thank you! 😊
What ply thread are you using?
2 ply
is it possible to name the products you use? and maybe where you buy them?
Hey. Can anyone tell me details about the cover cloth like fabric etc??
check out the book cloth video I made, linked in the description
🌻🌻🤗🤗🌷🌷

The name of brand of tour cutter machine? Thank you
it's linked in the description!
