I’m a corpsman deployed right now. Don’t know if you’ll see this, doesn’t matter I guess. It’s my last deployment, and I dont want to leave, to come home, I don’t want to leave my brothers. Don’t know how I’ll survive being a civilian.. I hope your killin it, Marine.
Where did time go brothers and sisters... no answer desired nor required, thank you for sharing it takes me back and although tough I wouldn't change being with my unit, nothing more pure in my life then my time with my Team. May I and each of us find peace, this song helps me happy to be home and for my boys who did not, see you, God Willing, in Heaven. HOOYAH!
So many questions about the Marines and individuals in each of the pictures. The stories they can tell. The stories this song tells. Thanks to all of you for your service!
I listen to this all the time, tonight alone drunk by a fire I miss all you guys. I miss my home there, I now only you who where there gets it. I want to go back home. that's home but here is home. I miss you Cpl Bass.
There are no words strong enough to express both my admiration and gratitude to every one whom has served our country. "After a thousand years, and a thousand more tears, I will find my original crew..."
we love you all god speed all our brothers and sisters overseas. we are here safe at home because of the courageous and violent acts you all bear... i love you all. sgt rossiter sgt pink
Awesome song and much respect to all the soldiers out there willing to fight for what they believe in. Freedom, Liberty and security in the best country in the world. Thank you for all the blood sweat and tears out there on the front lines and to those behind the scenes. My problem is that I know too much to want to support these unjust and endless wars that our country is involved in. I support the troops, just wish they could come home and someone could tell them the truth why we are at war
I know what it takes to bury one of your own. God Bless. And this is one of my favorite songs ever. Take care Marines. Tripp, Gregg A. CPT, USA 5-52 AMD Ft. Bliss, TX 79916
@deathtosnakes my point is the army or insurgents we face now are not a threat to our homeland safety. They don't even have regular organization, I mean for example our soldier throw a fit if their MRE doesnt have M&M's or a snickers. Iraqi insurgents are lucky to share a 50lb bag of rice, if they get any food at all. I mean if they can't even organize themselves to have food, supplies or uniforms how much of a threat were they to our safety?
I Cannot get enough of this song! It reminds me of the Good Times I had with my Brothers in arms while stuck in that hell hole called Iraq! God Bless America!
Wait, wait time out. I randomly came across this video and was like some of these faces look familiar. So does the area. Thats fucking ashraf isnt it? Then i see some name tapes and I know these guys. RIP Gilo and Hicks. Gilo was my driver in Ashraf 05-06. I spoke to him Aug 30th 2007 when he called to say "its gotten bad".
@HellsMaverick you are making my point for me. All those items you just listed are things created in the private sector in America. Soldier don't just sit around and invent theses things, they could't possibly handle the math, physics, etc. They just get to use these awesome weapons. Just becasue a soldier uses a good weapon doesn't mean that he is the sole hero holding back the masses. The scientist who helped create UAV's or stealth technology should get the credit not soldiers
One thing I find so ironic is how often soldiers who have been through these wars such as vietnam or Iraq and serve with courage and honor and get their entire life changed over very very wrong reasons, why then aren't more vets angry at the way we decide to go to war. I mean I wouldn't want to serve in an army where congress decides when and who to go to war with yet none of them have any kids serving in the military. My point is I love the soldiers but society needs to get mad at what they go
@HellsMaverick shitty movie from the 80's . I can't believe you said that. But for real the U.S. military is badd ass I just wish we as citizens had more control over who/when we go to war. The scene that really speaks to me is from generation kill an HBO mini series that goes along with my friends stories. The scene were the Marines are moving thru the desert and see two Iraqi's waiting in ambush a few miles ahead. They stop , the snipers take aim and blast them, then they keep rolling.
Men are sent to war by the rich for monetary reasons. But they initially sign up for the military because they want to protect their loved ones and their country. Maybe they don't agree with the reason they are there, but if they have to justify it to themselves that they really are protecting loved ones, more power to them. Godspeed to all those who are overseas whether its for our country's defense or for conquest. Its not the soldiers decision.
I Feel Home O.A.R. There are few things pure in this world anymore, And home is one of the few. We'd have a drink outside, Maybe run and hide if we saw a couple men in blue. To me it's so damn easy to see That true people are the people at home. Well, I've been away but now I'm back today, And there ain't a place I'd rather go. I feel home, When I see the faces that remember my own. I feel home, When I'm chillin outside with the people I know. I feel home, And that's just what I feel. Home is reality, And all I need is something real. Feelin alright, headin out tonight, Maybe out to a dark driveway. I say now some feel bored, And some are lookin for more. Well, we all just decide to stay. We got nothin to do, And I look at you I see something that I know and love. And with the crack of a smile we all stay a while We know from home there ain't nothing above. Well in the end we can all call a friend Well that's something I know as true. And then a thousand years and a thousand tears I come to findingin(something's wrong here) my original crew 'Cause to me throughout eternity There's somewhere where you're welcome to go I said it's something free that means a lot to me When I'm with my friends I feel home. I feel home, When I see the faces I remember my own I feel home, When I'm chillin outside with the people I know. I feel home, And that's just what I feel. Home is reality, And all I need something real Home is reality, And all I need something real I feel home.
@deathtosnakes through. We as a people need to hold our government responsible and make more harsh requirements before we decide to unleash the US war machine. Bottm line, I have lost many friends in Iraq and Ahfganistan and the generation before had Vietnam. And what are these conflicts doing for America? In my opinion these wars have been waged to make huge profits, you act like all the soldiers share in the war profits. I mean we as a country dont get weapons contracts or contracts to rebuild
Where should I call you? At your mothers house. Little boy! What did you do? Provide water and cake for the people who actually fought? Little boy blue. Scapper. Little Scapper. You must of been picked on as a kid and a little boy blue.
@HellsMaverick what are you kidding me? haven't you ever seen the movie Red Dawn? The Wolverines are the ones who saved america after the military couldn't hold back the communists. The streets of America are well armed places, where do you think all that gear you guys use comes from? And guns, we have plenty. I really think you over estimate the "the enemies are right at our gates" mindset. Iraq or Afghanistan were not on the verge of invading, and if they did a few street gangs would handle it
@deathtosnakes I have seen Red Dawn. The fact that you're basing your knowledge of history off of a shitty movie from the 80's explains a lot. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "you guys" and the "gear" we're supposedly using but you're clearly posting these comments just to get a rise out of people.
2024 still listening 😢
Thank you guys for doing what you do….
🙏 THANK YOU 🇺🇸
damn, i miss all of you. i miss everything. civi life sucls.

I Cannot get enough of this song! It reminds me of the Good Times I had with my Brothers in arms while stuck in that hell hole called Iraq! God Bless America!
good you came home safely
@PlexusMusic uh...yes it does. All of the pictures have to do with the military in Iraq, so it might have a LITTLE to do with the war.

@ltsauca87 yeah because there is no reason to be in the sand box.
Where can I find the lyrics to this version?
I Feel Home
O.A.R.
There are few things pure in this world anymore,
And home is one of the few.
We'd have a drink outside,
Maybe run and hide if we saw a couple men in blue.
To me it's so damn easy to see
That true people are the people at home.
Well, I've been away but now I'm back today,
And there ain't a place I'd rather go.
I feel home,
When I see the faces that remember my own.
I feel home,
When I'm chillin outside with the people I know.
I feel home,
And that's just what I feel.
Home is reality,
And all I need is something real.
Feelin alright, headin out tonight,
Maybe out to a dark driveway.
I say now some feel bored,
And some are lookin for more.
Well, we all just decide to stay.
We got nothin to do,
And I look at you
I see something that I know and love.
And with the crack of a smile we all stay a while
We know from home there ain't nothing above.
Well in the end we can all call a friend
Well that's something I know as true.
And then a thousand years and a thousand tears
I come to findingin(something's wrong here) my original crew
'Cause to me throughout eternity
There's somewhere where you're welcome to go
I said it's something free that means a lot to me
When I'm with my friends I feel home.
I feel home,
When I see the faces I remember my own
I feel home,
When I'm chillin outside with the people I know.
I feel home,
And that's just what I feel.
Home is reality,
And all I need something real
Home is reality,
And all I need something real
I feel home.
@deathtosnakes Yah, your right, that whole 9/11 thing had NOTHING to do with finding terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, right?
