    Homework in school is preparation for homework at a job. So that you are always working, and waiting to be laid off while the CEO gets $100 million to fail upwards.

    • @GenerationX1984
      @GenerationX1984 6 дней назад +6

      Exactly! The main difference between a corporation and a public school. There are no elite students who can't get an F even if they fail at school. The C-Suite can get a failing grade but get the A grade/golden parachute.

      @ExaltedDuck 6 дней назад +2

      Homework at work is immoral and illegal. If you're off the clock, you're off the clock. Forcing someone to work without pay is kind of a big no-no... we had a bit of a thing about that in the 1860's.

      @@SirThanksalott It has been said that the school system was developed the the Austro Hungarian empire to turn people into obedient assembly line workers. I have heard that it should not exist anymore due to deindistrialization. Such a system also feeds the BS service economy with office drones.

    I used to work at Sams Club handing out food samples. They had us making fresh squeezed OJ every day. We started out with a crew of 6, then 3, then 1 all while increasing production demands. To top it off the customer was getting screwed as well.
    We started with California oranges that we really sweet and people loved it. Then the company started getting cheap and using Florida oranges that weren’t as good in quality. Meanwhile we went from selling the orange juice from 7 dollars to 8, while cutting the amount of juice received from 64 ounces to 58 ounces.
    So you as a customer are paying more money for a lesser quality product, less quantity, and paying more money. Meanwhile us workers are doing more work, with less people, with zero pay raise. So the customer and the worker are being screwed while the people at the top make all the profit. We need another revolution fast.

    Honestly Gen Z has the right attitude, is asking the right questions, and is rightfully horrified when they hear the answers. I sincerely hope Gen Z is the first generation to truly buck the trend, because as a millennial, we sure didn't. We did some groundwork, but most of us (not me) went to college in hopes of rising above the reality of it all, and Gen X? Haha, Gen X just copes with it by assuming that's how life should be. Gen Z's unwillingness to take this all laying down is truly the answer. You can call them insufferable, children, or any other synonym of that, but they're right.

    It's sad but work takes up about 95 percent of your daily energy, so if you have a family they only get the 5 percent you have left, if even that.

    • @cricketycrickets3141
      @cricketycrickets3141 6 дней назад +7

      That's why I find it funny that America declared itself a country of family values. 5 days a week, you are only around your family while you sleep. 2 hours at dinner if you're not forced to work overtime and both work the same shifts. 1 day a week for chores - getting ready for next work week. So not really focused on family needs either. So one out of every seven days? If you can even afford a family to begin with.

    • @skylinefever
      @skylinefever 5 дней назад +1

      It's hilarious to see the Republican establishment say they love family values, yet also love the C suite that milks everything out of everybody.
      What those people really mean is that they like having more people whose childcare expenses mean they can't afford quitting or striking.

    I don't know how younger people do it honestly. You used to be at least able to afford a decent living if you worked hard, but now it seems like people are working 3 jobs just to still be broke. All these gig jobs seem like a total waste of time, using your own car and gas to run errands for people for 10$ seems insane to me.

    I think I said it before, but is people fed up enough to start building a better system yet?
    Like the venus project, or realising that we have the resources to make all our lives so much more enjoyable, with lights out factories that don't need a constant supply of wage survivalists, or the fact that when you go into a grocery store that the companies believe that your keeping all that money that you don't have to yourself and not want to buy all the food to eat, or maybe the housing that's always a great one that we have 3d printing houses, tiny houses, module housing, boat housing, all shapes and builds of housing.
    Or or maybe it's the fact that we can create an abunance of food to completely wipe out poverty tomorrow but decide not to because policies say so maybe that's it...
    Get real people, we live on this planet and we are the ones that need to stop complaining that we won't benefit now, because the people in jobs building the dam robots to put themselves out of work in the first place will be replaced but have the arrogance to think they won't be replaced...
    And just to say MS I'm totally with you, keep up the videos that keep reality real, I just want to know when this will all stop and the prols will stop fighting and stop being jealous and realise we are the ones keeping the system alive...
