Yes Sir! Spending just a few extra minutes for neatness makes it so much easier to be proud of the finished product. Great video Dr.

Exactly, sir. I was working on a 20x28 deck project and it was taking me months to get it done as a solo worker just because I like working on my own for the QC. Client hired a different woodworker for a 12x12 pergola project because they "didn't want to wait too long" as they told me. Respect to them for letting me know that and they are still great repeat clients today. Their pergola project was done in 2 days...but looked horrible, had no attention to detail, visible fasteners looked different across the reveal, uneven edges, different colored stains were used and was not level as seen by the eye, not built to the clients' specifications and ideas. They asked me to re-do their pergola with salvaged material if possible. Looking forward to this project.

I do this same detail. I like to take a palm router on the pvc and zip a 3/16 radius around the operating. Looks real nice! 👌

Take note that Dr Deck does not use Trex. Just went through the claim/warranty department with Trex. They do not stand behind their product. Cut ends swell when it gets wet but that was my fault....for using Trex!
