At last a model railway where the trains don't bounce around on unlevelled and misaligned rails. When they do this, the whole illusion is spoiled. Well done, amazing work.
All I can say is, WOW! OUTSTANDING! The sights, the sounds, hell i was expecting the people to move like I was watching a movie! Fantastic job man, simply BRILLIANT!
Thank you it brought some pleasure to a guy who has been going around and around on a big combine, harvesting beans for the last week. Thank you again.

I can only answer for the space and money issue I recommend checking out Budget Model Railways here on RUclips. They mostly stick with OO gauge but they’ve got 009 as well. As their name suggests, they show you how to build layouts on a budget but they also show you how you can shop model railway items on a budget, they have tutorials on scratch building, tips and tricks and they also show you how to build basic layouts that don’t take up that much space
@@traffic71 Not yet. I went several times to Hamburg but unfortunately I didn´t have this much time which actually is need to see everything. A friend told me I need 2 or 3 days. I hope one day I´ll have the opportunity.
Micro Layouts have taken off superbly in the last few years. I am working on 2... Yes O gauge thanks to Dapol and their superb Locomotives. And a seaside in Southern region with early BR. Hint we went round Folkstone taking lots of photos last month and not many were shops!! OO gauge for this. David and Lily Reading.
great layout, would have enjoyed the old camera on the front of the train bit for a few minutes to go with it, plus a whole aerial shot if poss. Love your channel, keep up the good work.
Several years ago I was invited to add my own input with a friend's and I learned how to use humbrol paints along with thinners to create aging on the buildings, train's, car's ect, as with all models specially with train's you would have pollution that would be everywhere including the housing alongside the tracking, I must say that it was a hobby I enjoyed for about 4 years until the owner passed away and his layout was sold off.
Great post I thoroughly enjoyed that and am a little bit jealous I think I’m going to have to give this ago Don’t take much notice of the thumbs down and negative comments It seems to be the modern world I loved it Thanks for sharing Cheers

In the 1960's Model railroader magazine had a photo spread on a British railroad layout had fantastic photographs of this 1800's railroad, being an American I used to American model layouts that are crammed with buildings and industries in such tight quarters but when I saw this layout it was a breath of fresh air it had realistic scenery with sparsely placed buildings and beautifully painted backdrops of the rolling countryside with 19th century locomotives and rolling stock slowly moving along the roadbed, I lost that article but I'm wondering if that layout may still be active today it was one of the most beautiful model railroads I've ever seen too bad all photos were in black and white.
Hmmm - I see things haven't changed all that much in public railway station behaviour since 1949. I mean, at 1:27, there appears to be a guy peeing up against a lamp post. Crikey, talk about added realism!
Tę małą makietę Heinza-Ulricha oglądaliśmy już kilka razy (a w Sinsheim nawet ją filmowali). Bardzo ciekawa praca. A film - ja zawsze - doskonały. Świetnie pokazuje modelarstwo kolejowe na wysokim poziomie.
Excellent layout and video-nice to see the trains running at "Scale speed" too. One indelicate query though-is the chap next to the Paignton poster having a wee against the drain pipe?
@@martinross5521 On this side of the pond, if you spilled a glass of water next to your English car, there is too much moisture for it to run. I have heard that it's the wiring, not the Lucas components. The wiring harnesses were subbed out by Lucas to a contractor and they used pure copper wire which corrodes. I may be buying a 49 MGTC and I plan to rewire it.
Good move to plan a rewire on your MGTC. We used to get damp tracking on any dirt on Lucas electrics. We kept a small hammer in our Morries to tap the fuel pump when it jammed. It wasn’t long before we moved to Peugeots, then a Citroen and finally settled on VWs for build quality and reliability. The MG will be a lot of fun.
For all who like these train lay-outs but don't have the money / time / room to build a one: If you have a decent computer you can install the computer game "Transportfever 2" which I can very much recommend. To be honest it is even worse: I'am a bit addicted to it 😉
A first class layout, this is just amazing. You can feel the atmosphere of the 1930s industrial landscape. Smoke, smog and steam. Excellent.
Full of romantic and nostalgie. Please more of this 😊👍👍👍👍

The kind of layout a modeler or anyone for that matter can 'live' in.
I find it interesting that they have a 2-way crossover on the mainline. Then the mainline doesn’t even go straight through it?!
If this layout is OO scale why does all the rolling stock have Rapido (N Scale) couplers.????
That was my first thought. No idea why somebody would do that but it seems to work.
Unusual but they are nice and inconspicuous.
I wonder how they uncouple automatically, assuming they do.
What a pity that the camera never pulls back to show us the layout .
