Yeah, I hear ya. At the arcade up here, the only stage that gets played when two people go head-to-head is Hakone. When we play the other stages, it's just a HP battle unless someone majorly screws up.
Annoyingly I found a Wangan Midnight cabinet in the UK that had the card reader disabled and the dispenser removed. I suspect it'd be the same if I found an Initial D in the wild.

actually i did, but i personally like 1v1 down a mountain track than like 4 cars on the freeway. it seems a lot more skilled in terms of turning and handling. thats why even when i played mt i always just play hakone
I miss my glory days dominating at the arcade on ver. 2. Do most arcade owners realize that we stopped coming to the arcades because they never upgraded to new versions or maintained the machines. /sigh One good thing, is that these games helped me to go out and purchase an s2000.
DragonInfraXtremeRGT well arcade stage 5 is stage 4 but sega released wanted to release to the audience more for convenience rather than any upgraded features or new moves like drift or such. Only thing that changed is the intro movie. But that is it.
saiyandrifter Well a xbox 360 port surly wouldn't help because the system needs a tiny bit more memory for some cars and courses still. Maybe downloadable dlc for a xbox attachment most likely.
If only they released this for consoles. I may end buying Extreme Stage just to satisfy the urge to play. Too bad my arcade only still has v3. It doesn't seem like they will ever upgrade.

theres no E-brake in initial d Arcade stage. its how the game was made that made drift possible
playing this game at the arcade is very very difficult! You have to be a good ass driver.
