It would be an interesting Afterlife-Esque Story, based on the background. 2 American Marines who fell at Iwo Jima and an Army Trooper who died at Bastogne, a Spartan & Thebian who both fell at Leonidas' Last Stand, a Winged Hussar coming the final days of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and maybe one of the last Samurai who fell during the Battle Of Shiroyama... it'd make for an interesting story. 6 Warrior's trying to find their way to their final resting places, traversing some nightmare world filled with of our wayward and lost souls, fighting other groups for supplies...and eventually gathering other warrior's from other parts of history, like a German Stromtrooper, a Swedish Livgardet, an Imperial Russian Soldier, a Swiss Papal Guardsman, hell maybe even some of the men from the Battle Of Castle Itter or Wehrmacht Members who perished in Operation Typhoon? maybe they make it, maybe they do fall... it'd be interesting!
I'd love to read a story like this. fallen soldiers from across time gathered in between Heaven and Earth to fulfill some unknown purpose and atone for their wrongs, keeping those alive safe from monsters and evil which would lead them astray. they'd have to look inside themselves and understand what faults of their own are keeping them from gaining their peaceful rest, and maybe learn that their curse is actually a final duty given by God for them to protect humankind, and fulfill their purpose as soldiers.
