Fashion has to embrace more and more cultural references and real, intrinsic links with the territories (not just globalized communication and trends)... maybe the show was a bit too difficult to be understood ( Taranta Dance is 3000 years old and Apulian Culture very peculiar) ... but it was a great experiment. High end fashion is not just a matter of clothes and accessories ( even if criticism is legitimate, of course)

Maria grazia has used feminism as a shield from any real critique of her designs. they are mundane, repetitive, blurred and lazy. she has even used feminism to distort the fact that her work appropriates rather than celebrates most cultures. her moroccan collection had true engagement with artisans but it was shallow and unsustainable and shows how little she cares for the communities she interacts with. people being reduced to trends to extort and punctuate her incredibly dull plisse dresses and bar jackets. I even feel guilty writing this because she has drawn more interest in feminist theory and fashion but its time for change, and give it to someone young, or a collective!!!

I think they highlighted the capacities of the local artisans (using typical local laces and cloths) and also perfomed our folk music and dance.
