Scanner traffic reveals more about California deputy shootout with man

A Placer County Sheriff's deputy was shot and a suspect killed following a shootout Thursday night in Colfax. The deputy was taken to a hospital in critical, the Placer County Sheriff's Office said. The area around the 500 block of South Auburn Street was closed off while the investigation into the shooting was underway.
