My first choice was to go trucking since i met my Filipina. I tried a few other things the past few years. I will be focusing on it after I go to the Philippines later this year.
Im happy for you! As a Male nurse (LVN not RN). I pray everyday to be FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT in 3 - 5 yrs. Im retiring early (45 yrs old). I have the LOVE/HATE relationship with Nursing. 😂😂😂
There are a few jobs that give you the independence of a business owner. I didn't think of truck driver, but that's true. I was a sales engineer and can say that being in sales is another job that gives you independence. In both cases, your income is a function of how hard you work.
It used to be a fun job...i started 1999. Drove OTR until 2001...then a year in mexico. Then from 02 until 10...and then 8 years in the Philippines. Back driving again and the roads are horrible now. Anyone can get a CDL and its super dangerous. Home weekly, but the industry sucks now.
