      Thanks I appreciate you observing that 👍. I just recently started including my son because I thought it could be a fun project for us... I've been running this channel over a year with 13k subs and 240 videos BEFORE I decided to include him.

      @Expat_Philippines what's the key to getting traffic and subscribers are you monetized?

    • @Expat_Philippines
      @Expat_Philippines  14 дней назад +1

      @LeviRussell-f6m There's no magic key. Subscribers and views are relative per channel. There's all sorts of different style channels...Just make good content and stay true to your message. Staying focused and enjoying what you do will help you stay out of the social media "popularity contest" syndrome. Some vloggers can get nasty and competitive. Some of them remind me of unhinged actors 😆

    • @LeviRussell-f6m
      @LeviRussell-f6m 14 дней назад

      @Expat_Philippines had a fishing channel last year will 220 videos and 222 subscribers lost it cause I couldn't remember my Gmail password. Gonna start making content again just lost to what people will be interested in watching. Already started filming Agricultural videos just don't know that's what people will subscribe for.

    • @Expat_Philippines
      @Expat_Philippines  14 дней назад +3

      If you approach RUclips with a specific agenda in terms of growing for business and want maximum views for monetization, there's certainly strategies depending on the niche...I personally enjoy the comfortability of speaking on exactly what I'd like to discuss. I'm aware some comments and topics can potentially alienate some audiences at times. However I believe over the long haul this channel will continue growing because people respect the message.

    Hi there, cap. I'm glad to see you with your son...handsome boy, looks much like you, his smiles, and funny faces...You're right with your observations. The number of students in a classroom is one factor where a child learns more and can be given enough attention by the teacher. In a Catholic school, it is emphasized to educate, "training of the mind and formation of characters". You're involvement with your child's wholesome upbringing is admirable. Thank you for looking at us Filipinos in a good light. We are family oriented, our life revolved around family, when one is happy everybody is happy, when one is in difficulty, all is affected... In 2003 when I referred to the Iraq and Afghanistan wars as a "joke" to the higher ups, that was the wrong word - I really meant absurd in the context of being poorly planned and executed by the U.S...I'm definitely NOT dismissing the tragedy that thousands of U.S. soldiers/patriots and hundreds of thousands civilians died, that is a very grim, real, and tragic reality. I was vocal about this in 2003 and knew the U.S. would be there for many years.

      @@Expat_Philippines it's also heartbreaking to see your people leaving families and loved ones to fight a battle for their allies (correct me if I'm wrong), how admirable and heroic but leaving families for example an infant or pregnant wife, then when one is fortunate enough to survive and returns home to a grown up child, etc., etc...sometimes I make it a joke too, to say, if they want war, let the one who wants it, lead the troop and stand at the front line instead of just be a dictator by deciding war and sit back to watch a show of killings😡...praying for families and brave soldiers who suffer the most as well as the victims...if only people learn to share and be kind to one another, the world/universe is vast enough to sustain us all, and there is a God who continuously create and make miracles every second of everyday...and to note, we, each of us only have "ONE" life to live. If one is scared of loosing his one own life, how come he doesn't care to deprive others of their own life and its effect to the loved ones and family?😭...I think what we can do is making the most of our life, live fulfilled, care others (stewardship), enjoy life with others in its simplicity. All is given to us freely, we steward, we enjoy and be happy , never allow manmade creation dominate and enslave us. God bless🙏🥰

    Teacher: "Good morning class!"
    Class: "Goodmorning ma'am/sir. Good morning classmates."

    My partner is a corporate banker in the Philippines..it’s a interesting topic. My previous marriage and two children were privately educated in the UK. From my perception most schooling is terrible in the Philippines..if your gifted you’ll get on anywhere. The Filipino I’ve met in via my wife (7 years) are highly intelligent and more so than the west. I will hasten to add they are all from Manila ..my wife had a scholarship amd attended a Manila university a year before her allotted time. Being in a big city has far better educational standards. I know provincial like appeals to many but the education is lacking simply because the brightest brains reside in the big cites. Plus on your cv the likes of Manila or Cebu university are first inline for the quality opportunities..

      The curriculum is more or less the same. You don't have to be particularly "gifted" to get educated in the Philippines, I'm just being funny by saying my son will run for president. Education starts in the family and home.

      @@Expat_Philippines Opportunities in the Philippines are few and far between unless you can drag yourself out of the quagmire of poverty, 99% of Filipino come from humble beginnings and yes the traditional route is via education. Although education has a double edged sword but to a lesser effect with the Philippines with indoctrination. My partner is point in case with educational standards, most will go the traditional route job wise and having gone to a more prestigious Uni ..you will be courted by businesses draining the best and brightest. If that’s the route you choice, it matters not where you come from but generally your upbringing and your genes will certainly help in your progression in life. While the curriculum maybe similar in the Philippines, the brightest minds reside in the big city universities and the governmental statics bear this out. And your partner is point in case, another choice that factors in life progression. For the Filipino have to be 10x more entrepreneurial and industrious to progress, the observation about entrepreneurs etc is a bit of a red herring as we are run by elites that went through the system. I will add we have a few friends that went though the system and are very successful Ie 10 plus dental businesses etc. The problem with the Philippines is financing, as it’s lot harder if your in a particular demographic to gain a line of credit. As you know most Filipino don’t have a bank account, passport etc. You have to play by some rules of engagement to make use of the system and that’s my point, just as you use your skills in the west to give you advantage here in the Philippines. Most ex pats rally against authoritarian rule hence why we are ..all the very best.

      If u look at US ranking in school, it drop every year. it was 2016 when I checked and they dropped 2 spot in one year.
      US has “no child left behind” policy… meaning nobody will fail. I volunteer in juvenile and yap, they don’t fail even if they spend most of their time coming in and out of jail.
      I am talking only of public school. but it’s always a different story when the child is a good kid and likes to learn… because in US, smart kid had a chance to advance during high school…like somebody was able to finished Psychology in high school because it’s available. so the time she graduate high school, is the time she also get her college certificate/diploma. Most that I know, they also can get advanced college subject in high school like Calculus if they plan to take engineering. This is the advantage in US, it saves parents money.
      the biggest mistake PH did in the system is adopting the 12 years of primary school. 10 years was more than enough for elementary and high school.
      the college also is good in PH. lot of foreigners are studying in PH because they are competitive. graduates can pass international licensing test in any field.
      all ur materials are good, but the tutor is only needed if ur child doesn’t like to study or having a hard in certain subject. tutor help with motivation and can explain the area he is having a problem with. in case he is introvert to ask the teacher. I see lot of foreign youtubers that grew up in PH and they don’t have problem studying in PH. one American he studied in public school, so he can speak Tagalog.
