Great interview / conversation with Gabe Brown. Thank you. I appreciate the depth of knowledge you have of Regenerative Farming Daniel. Keep up the good work!👍🙏😊
To sustain soil is not enough, we need to build carbon in the soil, to gain not sustain. Regenerative agriculture is the way to go, even in suburban homes.
I've been watching Gabe Brown talks all winter and planning to change how I garden and care for my hens. This was an exceptionally good interview because it covered a broad range and allowed Gabe to give full answers. Thanks.
What an interesting talk... will have to come back to it... simply makes good sense, and is the sustainable way to go forward in every sense... Health of Soil, Livestock, resulting in Human Health, which ever way one looks at it...
Use the waste in one enterprise to fuel the profit of another. Great stuff. I've heard a similar saying coming from the permaculture perspective, They like to say " the problem is the solution. "
Left exposed to the elements, soil will erode and the nutrients necessary for successful plant growth will either dry out or quite literally wash away. At the same time, planting the same plants in the same location can lead to a buildup of some nutrients and a lack of others. But by rotating crops and deploying cover crops strategically, farms and gardens can infuse soils with more and more (and more diverse) soil organic matter, often while avoiding disease and pest problems naturally. Always remember, bare soil is bad soil. All the best from Croatia, EU. CCRES Team
Sustainability is the thing we should not be doing, at the beginning he talks about oranges today compared to the past and the lack of nutrients why would we want to sustain that type of fruit? we need to get beyond the buzz words and first build a healthy soil with nutrient rich foods, food for health then we can talk about sustaining that type of agriculture. If the cost of organic is too much for a family then just keep eating the fast food and nutrient deficient food so you can afford all those medical bill you will have in the future as the old saying goes. “ pay me now or pay me later”
Hallöchen :) spannende Erklärung! Danke. :)
Hi Tomas! Yes that's correct! So much more of the vitamin C content, oranges have good amounts of vitamin A also. Here's the article about that: www.scientificamerican.com/article/soil-depletion-and-nutrition-loss/
I think the best interviewer that I’ve heard on this subject. I’ve watched and listened to Gabe many times. He’s always great to listen to.

Absolutely!
I am currently reading/ listening to "Dirt to Soil"
This is an outstanding book.
Agreed! Let’s see if we can get every farmer in the world to read it!
There's a book?
@@firefixing4125 dirt to soil by Gabe Brown it is a fabulous book
@@firefixing4125 Yes! It's called Dirt to Soil and it's Gabe Brown's story of how he discovered this style of farming. Highly recommend it!

I think that’s a great point! The buzz word is a bit misleading in that sense. I think a better word is “regeneration”. What do you think?
It's not about sustaining that kind of fruit as it's not about the fruit it's the soil that is nutrient depleted
Amazing
Thank you Emil! I hope you enjoy the episode!
any healthy sanity soundness sobriety excluding obsession?
great,fantastic
Another reason it's expensive is it costs too much to be aloud to label it organic.
would enjoy talking to you after you see my book, the green wizards guide
Thanks ron, will check it out! I hope you enjoy watching the episode!
