    I guess everything is related to wear you live. I converted naira to U S Dollars. So 100,000 naira is $63.00 U S. Co pay with health insurance is $35-$50 U S to see a specialist. I am sure looking at where you are in the world this seems expensive but it is standard. I know people tend to think people in the U S are rich but that is not the case. It is all based on your economy. Thanks for sharing your experience. Take care of yourself and stay safe and Blessed.

      @@jayanofafrica02. I really enjoy your vlogs . I have said this before but you have made me truly realize how Blessed I am. I am not looking down on your life. You make me appreciate so many things that not only me but others take for granted, honestly. My central air conditioning died. To replace it with replacing the heating system as well because it is super old is honestly about $9000 U S. The fact that I have had central air and heat to cool and warm my entire home 🏠 is truly being Blessed by God. Being able to pay the co pays for medical costs is Gods hand in my life. I pray God blesses you, your health heart mind and body. I also pray that he Blesses your channel for great amazing success. Take care 💜

    Gummy Queen showing her multiplicity of talents to the world… all the while looking fine! How has your lactose-free milk been treating you? No honey with your pancakes this time… another cute all-black outfit to face the world. Lagos traffic is no joke, but the upgraded bank account was worth it. Another wise Jayan gadget purchase and we now hear you loud and clear! The Oraimo vacuum cleaner sucked up all of the dead and desiccated window insects, and reproductive health is critical for the wellbeing of future Mini-Jayans. In the US VA (Veteran’s Affairs) Hospitals are underfunded with long waits and subpar service, so I’m glad to hear that they’re better in Nigeria…

    I have tried the Military hospital at ikoyi before . And I must say thw doctors there are very good. Young doctors Infact . And yeah, I didn’t spend too much. They attended to me so well, answered my questions. Even the questions I had in mind, they answered without me asking.

    Being a nurse for so years. One ladies if you have no insurance call and find out how much for a check up before hand. Two ladies you need a check up every year, call around and check the price. My friend lives in Africa and needed surgery and the doctor wouldn’t treat him till he had the money. He had cancer and needed treatment,I paid the first surgery or at least a small amount cause I needed surgery myself. The one problem in Africa is once you turn to 40 finding a job is very hard. He was living in an empty house with no water and eating things off the trees and dealing with snakes. He finally found a job and now he can finally feed himself. Everything is going up everywhere , but speak and ask questions before hand and if you don’t like what they are saying move on to somewhere else. When I moved to this state no one wanted to treat me and my husband found someone for him the doctor took me. That all cause I didn’t have insurance. Please everyone take care of yourself. Jayan your looking good thanks for sharing ❤

    Hi Jayan, Trust you are good, I totally understand your plight with the hospital bill, but for civilians, I am telling you for a fact that we dint get the same treatment as militant children tbh, I had to stop using the base hospital in Ikeja because I had to go there as early as 5am and 6am was me being late! We need to extend grace to private parastatal and I do not think it is even fair to compare private parental to them at all, because they don't get subsided from anywhere and anyone, most of the government hospitals do not even pay their doctors well(do not even wanna go into that). Private agency have to run the business In this very harsh economy we are currently facing so I don't think 57k is a lot tbh especially because it.

    • @jayanofafrica02
      @jayanofafrica02  11 дней назад +9

      @@Victoriarike i can tell you for a fact that even as a military child the time also applies to us. You go early and get to see a doctor early unless I’m missing out something and also note that i am no longer a military child so i am going as a civilian and apart from the money part i have never heard that the military has preferential treatment. I guess when you go there at 5am and 6am there are people there already right? You won’t expect to not see crowd nao .
      Well,it’s 67,700 but 57k for test and consultation and like i said before,the test was way more than what they doctor had told me. If they stuck to doing just 3 tests i’d go with it. There’s still more but I didn’t state it in the video.
      So receptionist asked me to select a few she was recommending for me to do if i couldn’t do all,please why? If the doctor told you to ask me to carry out 7 tests why suggest the one I should? I sensed foul play. How did she know which I should do if this isn’t their MOA ,something planned already to extort money from people? I will give private hospitals grace but i will still stand my ground. Most of them are after your money and will recommend tests that isn’t necessary just so they can make money.

    • @agenmsvivian5577
      @agenmsvivian5577 11 дней назад +4

      I for the total package it's not but the doctor said she'll do three test and what the nurse or person im charge said is that she must do the total package which consist of 7 tests. Which is 4 more she didn't need, and tbh the consultation fee is a lot for just 5 minutes no talking with her no questions.

    • @Victoriarike
      @Victoriarike 10 дней назад

      @@agenmsvivian5577 I get your point but you don't think the doctor is still going to speak to her after the test result are out?? Plus, from the little I know, test has to be carried out before conclusion are made and drugs would be recommended.

    • @agenmsvivian5577
      @agenmsvivian5577 10 дней назад

      But it's best to first talk to the patient about their concerns, doubts and also their fears first, this would have created an atmosphere for trust and not seem like they're after the money, which what they did showed. @@Victoriarike
