Absolutely, it can get fuzzy that's something I like as well. Have fun building!

This sounds great..love the clean tone also..how did you get that? Nice playing!! Peace from Ireland!

Thanks! The clean sound in general is just guitar into my audio interface, running the Kuassa Matchlock amp plugin. I 'cleaned up' the overdrive by turning down my guitar volume.

Small correction: this was the Mercuriall ReAxis amp plugin.

great review as always. the gain knob seems to be a lot more usable compared to the mosky D250X pedal. if only my soldering skill were better ... I think the pedal sounds very different with single coil pickups. maybe worth to add this to your review

Thanks! My soldering skills weren't great either, but they're getting a little better (I've made 8 different kits in total now I think). Almost all of my guitars have single coils or p90s (also single coils). Only one humbucker left in the bunch haha.

@@RudyBressers yh, I noticed that I tend to avoid humbuckers most of the time, too. single coils + boost/eq offer so much more.
Do you think, it's possible to model a P90 with a single-coil + an EQ pedal?

@@deadcatforcutie9349 That should be possible, at least something kind of in that ballpark. It probably won't be 100% accurate, but still worth a try of you want a p90 sound without swapping pickups.

@@RudyBressers I was thinking about getting another guitar with P90s (e.g. Jim Atkins Tele), but the investment is high (for me). That's why I had the idea with the EQ/boost medal. But since I don't have P90 I cannot come up with the EQ settings myself. Do you have a recommondation for a P90 guitar? you seem to like Teles, too.

@@deadcatforcutie9349 Probably boosting lower freqs and lower mids. So 200, 320 and 500 Hz. Maybe up to 800 Hz. And cutting some of the higher mids (2Khz, 3,2Khz, 4 to 5Khz). Would need some finetuning depending on the specific pickups of course.
