I live in Northeast Louisiana. Hurricane Delta hit my area as a Cat1 and it did major damage in my area! The more trees you have the more damage. It was 35 trees down in my area alone. It destroyed a park and it closed for 8 months. They had to halt cleanup because another hurricane came through two weeks after that. It took a couple of months for trash pickup to catch-up. I couldn’t imagine going through a Cat4-5 hurricane! I was scared to death!! That hurricane lasted ALL DAY! I got a generator and huge power station after that storm.
This was my first hurricane and my first time in the eye of hurricane since I moved here in 2020. My power was only out for nearly 12 hours in Greater Katy. Not too long for me. If you need a cooling center, I hear Joel Osteen is open! haha.
Crazy my neighbor is a engineer,he was supposed to go to Huston yesterday and got rescheduled because of the hurricane, today the it was cancelled due to flooding and power outages. God's power is both beautiful and destructive at times.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by God's wrath in this season. This is no joking matter. I survived hurricane Hugo. It was my birthday present. Traumatizing. Peace and blessings. Stay strong, the cities of Houston, DFW, islands hit on the way etc.

Wasn't no damn 1 . The wind pulled up 15 story pines like weeds .Oaks ,mesquite, cedar knocked over like popsicle sticks . All on my property something wasn't natural
My lights still off! Houston infrastructure isn’t where it needs to be for it to be 2024 and the 4th largest city in a supposed 1st world country! This cat 1 did us in pretty good. We deal with this too often to not have better infrastructure!
