I hope my system can find someone as good as Gaz who will understand and love the host (or whomever they are dating) and also understand they won't necessarily be dating all of us. (also thanks Gaz for reminding me of the 5/7 thing)
RangerK No, Jess isn't the one who explained that car analogy, it was some other RUclipsr, not that it matters, I just find it funny we've been researching from the same people 😂
Austin Bryan I think she did explain it that way before though. Or one of them at least. There was actually a video on this channel before about switching while driving and it might've been in that one I think.
the difference in handwriting and accent is really interesting from what I've learnt till now is that they are localized in specific parts of the brain but yhe neuronal connections in DID might be compromised so as to fit each of the personalities/alters. But vocabulary seems to be intact and simillar in them. I wonder if learned behaviours such as riding a bicycle would be intact in alters (but now if that is intact, the handwriting should be similar too...) I would like to see some studies and will ask my lecturers if I find any useful info I'll post here
Well, even in singular people without DID, our handwriting can change based on just mood changes, so I don't see it as a stretch to completely change handwriting based on a switch of personalities.
I suffer from Bipolar Disorder, and I have been in a manic, yet depressive state (which is new for me, I am usually very manic) And nothing really gives me that warm tingly happy happy feeling, and Jamie, you made me SOOOO happy, just with your upbeat personality and I needed that upfilting feeling. Thank you so much for being A part of Jess and you helped more than you'll ever know, just in one video.
On the handwriting bit, it is common to have different handwriting. I have diagnosed D.I.D and all my alters draw and write differently then I, the core, do :)
I usually never comment so this is a first for me, but I just can't help myself today. I watched diaries of a broken mind and was so interested in did that it brought me to your channel and after meeting you guys, I actually went back to watch it again and could very easily tell who was "out" during the doc. I plan on going to school for phycology and after seeing your videos, I plan on getting extra training to help individuals with DID. So thank all of you for opening my eyes. I love all of you guys so much, you have no idea. You all do such a wonderful job cooperating and keeping Jess safe, that I hope you're all proud of yourselves!! 😘 muwah.
So glad I'm not the only one who can't resist doing the soup crimp at the mere mention of the word! This was wonderful, it would be lovely to have one of these from each of you guys! Thank you for taking the time to do this!
I've been interested in mental "disorders" for a long time now (I would love to pursue a career in cognitive neuroscience, studying the brain and mind!). I've had the biggest troubles grasping the concept of DID. I just could not wrap my head around how a system would work. However!! Watching all of you has given me this insight into a system in a way I never had, it's helping me understand what DID is about. Basically, I just wanted to thank you for this. Thank you so much for helping me understand, all of you! Furthermore, I would like to express my respect for the fact that you are so open about it all, about the alters, the inner world and everything related to DID
Handwriting is very closely tied to personality. And for me, kinda tied to mood, too. So it actually makes perfect sense in that frame of mind that your handwriting styles are so different :P.

I just want to say thank you for your channel. My husband has DID, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and depression, and your videos are helping me understand what he goes through in an informative way. Please keep the videos coming! 😊
I am very intrigued by your guys videos it makes us very happy that there is someone out there trying to make DID be aware to the world for those who suffer from it. we also have it and it is uplifting that you guys are sharing your experience and life. -akira
I've watched a lot of DID vids as I find it very interesting and yours is the MOST educational and entertaining so far that I even subbed to he channel :) You explain it so well. Also the relationships between your alters are so healthy that I really enjoy them talking about each other and hear them talk about their families in the "inner world". It would be very fascinating if there's a visual representation based on your inner world. It would be awesome to see a glimpse of it as your alters seem to live a pretty good and interesting life! Hope to see more videos and maybe see how Ed or Jake's day go as well :)
Am I the Only One Who Wonders How The Cat Feels When Jess Switches Personalities?(please tell me I spelled that last part correct I'm terrible at spelling.)
xXAnimeHunterXx animals are usually aware something is different. My cats are usually curious when an alter switches out. They will investigate like they're meeting a new person. With the younger alters they are more comforting, cuddling, nuzzling, etc. With the protector and teenage alter, they are more aloof. Still curious but wary.
I love this series you guys are putting together! I just got so excited there was a new one posted. I could watch Jamie vlog forever, he's so calming and gives off such good vibes
Thank you for making this video, Jamie! You're all amazing. I'm glad you can help educate people about the disorder! Your husband was very lovely when we talked to him. Thank you all so much for sharing your experiences with us! -Janina and Levi
In watching these videos.. and I know this is an old video.. it's really fantastic to see how fantastic Gaz is with every single person in her system. He's really such a wonderful person and a great husband to Jess.
I love watching these videos. It really is so interesting how incredible the brain is, and how the brain can split to protect the brains person. I really want to research this in the future. I love these videos so much.
I think you are brilliant! I don't always follow thing so easily. I have borderline personality disorder myself and I'm just learning about DID and BPD . Thank you for sharing your story and your alters, it's a very brave thing to do! Keep up The Good work with your system you've definitely got quite the layout for a functional unity. God bless!
Such a lovely video! I don't think your life is boring Jamie. I knew you were bisexual but I didn't know Gaz is also, that's cool! I'm pansexual and bisexual is essentially quite the same so it's always cool to have some good representation. It's amazing how been queer and neurodivergent identities can overlap. Intersectionality, yay! Love you Jamie
It's so brave and wonderful that you all have decided to share your lives with us so publicly. Thank you all so much, and know that we send you all lots of love and good vibrations!
or is it sort of like an alternate reality, like its own planet of sorts? jamie mentioned that when he grew up in the inner world, he traveled all sorts of places, so i thought that might mean that its quite large.
I think it's a mix of alternate reality but a completely different space since Jamie is able to have his own occupation. And if you watched Ollie's vid when he gave a tour of their house in the inner world, he mentions that Jake has moved out and has his own place and his Aunt Jenny visits then as well. So it's pretty clear that they are able to co-exist in the "inner world".
From my gf's experience, the inner world is like a space inside a person with DID's mind in which all the alters hang out and interact. Some people have a house, some people have a room, some people have multiple rooms etc and it's completely decorated and things happen entirely without thinking of them. It's all just 'there'. It's very common with people with DID. Ollie actually talks about it theirs on his day video. I love hearing about my gf's mind space. I think it's really interesting
found this channel a few days ago and I love it! I find it so interesting hearing and learning about DID, it's fascinating! and I, much like Jamie, adore learning! (and also am training in medicine!) I love that this channel unlike many of channels I've seen in regards to DID don't make the person/people/ condition out to be monsters or 'broken' or something to that affliction, much like the video in regards to the movie 'split', I personally do not have DID but I am totally fascinated! (just as a side note, I've referred to it as 'this channel' as I don't want to refer to a 'you' or 'them' in fear of being incorrect and/ or causing offence!) :D
loved this vlog. also a question for Jake: do you refrain from coming out during school and formal occasions for fear of people noticing the change in accent or do you try to change it or do you all together just leave it be and try to explain about it to ppl when necessary?? love you
Elisha Miyahira I'm more curious how they deal with memory. If Jess is studying psychology and Jamie accidently comes out, is notes enough? what if there was something Jess wanted to clarify and then Jamie comes out and the opportunity passes. How well is their communication level that Jamie could explain to Jess a concept he might have learned during his time out. And Jamie mentioned he liked the stimulus of education, does he check out Jess's notes when he's out? Or is her knowing enough to satisfy him?
I thought of tht too! Like, if he was asked to answer a question and his accent was different from all the other Alters, I wonder how people would respond.
Jamie, you and the rest of your system are wonderful! You came togerher to help and protect Jess, and whether or not you feel like it, you are all heroes.
You guys give us hope, a lot of us in our system are scared we'll never really have a functioning life/relationships, but seeing you guys do it really helps ease that worry that it's at least possible, to live with DID and still, ya know, live.
This whole thing absolutely baffles me. It's like...There's actual other people in your head? I thought it was just, different parts of you, but you explain them as actual people with relationships and sexualities and history and did they actually do these things, and, and it's all just so confusing, I CANNOT wrap my head around it.
The handwriting thing is incredible. Jess (and all the boys), thank you for making these videos. They are so incredibly interesting, and I love getting to know everyone and see how your system functions on a daily basis. Super cool.
To Gaz's 5/7 reference, you're bloody hilarious! If they all haven't seen it yet, you should show them the post!! Thanks for showing us your day Jamie! It's so great getting to know you all a little more!
This was wonderfully fantastic!!! Brilliant! And so funny! Miso, Miso! Oh I hope the other alters do a day in the life and include their relationship with Gaz. Thank you so much for doing this!
I'm a 19 year old nursing student and am pretty sure I have DID, but I am far too scared to go to a professional to get a proper diagnosis simply due to the fact that my university's psychiatrists are extremely uneducated and lack proper training. Should i trust my own judgment or seek a clinical confirmation/diagnosis? It has started affecting my coursework and I'm concerned it will affect my future in nursing clinical courses:/
Alivia Schafer go to your doctor, tell them what's going on, and they'll more than likely refer you to a psychologist and you can figure things out from there.
go to a professional, thats way they cant help you get the best treatment and give you coping mechanisms. Its nothing to be ashamed of. Also sometimes the first doctor you go to isnt right so if youre not happy dont be afraid to change x
Going to a psychologist and working on my mental health has made me a lot happier and a lot less confused. It is one of the top best decisions I have ever made in my life.
agree with Chag4. definitely a good decision to see a psychologist! i wasn't able to get officially diagnosed since im still pretty young, but just talking about alters and getting clarification/therapy is really all you need
Hi Alivia, from experience with my gf, it's been nearly impossible to get a diagnosis on the English NHS as their psychologists are not trained in Dissociative Identity Disorder. They do have a NHS clinic in London which specialise in it, however it's hard as hell to get diagnosed. I would recommend finding a DID therapist that is accredited to do the diagnosis for you and go private to get your answer. When you have an official diagnosis, go to your doctor and tell them you want to be referred to the London clinic. If they try and fob you off with the mental health team, fight fight fight! They aren't trained in DID and have been shit with every person i've known that has needed specialist psychotherapy and have been palmed off with BPD (which is NOT the same thing at all!) I would also recommend checking out a very active support group on facebook called 'Living with Dissociative Identity Disorder' it's an international group for people with DID or that think they have it and it's full of amazing support. Good luck to you!
Hi Jamie! Hi Jess! (and hi Ed, Jake and Ollie!) I'm so glad you posted a new video :) I only discovered your channel recently and was absolutely fascinated and just loved all your videos. All of you make me laugh, and smile, and I feel really privileged to be able to "meet" all of you in some way via your channel. Jess, you're an inspiration in a world where people can be absolutely the worst about difference, letting people know who you are and where you come from - thank you so much. And Jamie, dittosame to you, and all the alters. I don't want to sound like I'm lumping you together like you're not all different personalities with different skills and goals, because that would be patently wrong, but perhaps saying your entire system is truly inspiring and such a wonder to behold would be the most accurate statement I could make. Gah, I'm rambling. But really, thanks so much for sharing some more of yourself with us, Jamie. It was extremely interesting and entertaining to hear about your medical endeavours, your family, how you manage things in the outside world and just seeing and hearing you (you have such a lovely energy!) I really thought seeing the difference between Jess's handwriting and your own was super interesting - yours looks more male/unconscious (wrong word?) while Jess's looks rather female/conscious. The reason I use those descriptors is that your writing resembles mine when I was a child and not conscious of the shape of my letters in comparison to anyone else's (very care free) and Jess's looks like my writing after I modelled it on a babysitter I had growing up, who I really admired, seemed very smart and had lovely, round letters that looked super girly (whereas I'd decided my writing looked a bit 'spidery' by 9 or 10... I actually wish I still wrote that way a bit, it's my natural hand!) Okay, I'll end this long ass comment now. Thanks again, and please post more videos whenever you have the time and motivation, they are really wonderful and it's so, so nice to be included in your life with Iris and Gary (who remains totally awesome, hurrah! I love Gaz's jokes and that soup thing at the end had me in stitches, it was amazing, where is that from???)
I found your channel after watching Split and researching DID online. I instinctively knew that the portrayal of DID in the movie was grossly misrepresented. I wish I could take back the money I spent on that crappy movie! Anyway I love your channel all of your alters are so interesting and seem like lovely people. I can't wait to see the next alters perspective video you put out. :3
:D yaaaay! Another day in the life! *^* Jamie is a lot like my Max. He's my protector, the organised one. I'd like to think that they'd get along well. :3
I found you yesterday and I cannot stop watching you. I love seeing the guys interact with Gazz. Honestly you're such and inspiration and I've been thinking about going into psychology and after your videos, I'm almost positive that's what I want to do with my life, maybe even specialize in DID, it needs exposure and I'm fascinated with the way you handle it. Thank you for being brace enough to post these. Love to you and the boys❤️
Also I think the creativity of your mind is just incredible. I struggle with mental illness and have no doubts that living with DID can be hell at times, but I like to believe that "disorders" can be gifts. I had read an article about Kim Noble, and artist with DID, and it's just incredible what people can imagine and create
Sorry one more thing and this is for Gareth. You are the greatest most understanding and kind hearted person i have ever seen. Nothing in life is ever easy but to accept Jess with an open mind and open heart. I believe youre the closest a person can get to being an angel. I hope more people become aware and accept gifted people like jess and her boys.
I'm genuinely not trying to insult anyone, I just don't know how to phrase this!! I was wondering, when Jamie talks about the past and growing up is that something that just kind of evolved or that was inherent when this unit was established ? (I have no idea if that makes sense) xxx
Una O'Brien im not completely sure, but i think the inner world grows along with jess, so in the same way that she grows up, and does stuff with her life, the alters in the inner world do too? Im not sure if this is correct or if this makes sense
In Ollie's day he explained that some alters / others in their inner world are stuck in time, but he, Jamie, Ed, and Jake have grown and matured over time.
Una O'Brien I think once she and the atlers found out about each other and the inner world, Jesse's mind tried to make sense of it by connecting them through a story line in her head.
Yea I'm curious to know how long each alter has been with Jess and at what point they started growing (at the same time?) and what the rate of growth corresponds to(progress made psychologically? actual time? time spent out? ability to progress themselves and their relationships with each other?) And is the reason for the growth different for every system. Gawd I should just buy a book or take a class.
Actually the handwriting being so different isn't that surprising. From my understanding some with DID have alters who use a different hand or even have a different base language from the host, which is really, really interesting, especially when the host never learned that language. It's one of the reason I think DID is part spiritual as well as part psychological. There are so, so many things we don't understand about it.
I've never clicked so fast in a video before, I could listen Jamie speak for hours and I wouldn't get bored; I would love to see Ed's history as well (and Jake's) they all look so interesting 🌹
You are so cool Jamie. Well all of you are cool. It is so interesting and pretty amazing to see you all interact/live in this world together. Can’t wait to see more of all of you and the rest of the amazing alters!!!
It’s interesting to see Gaz turning into suche a DUDE around Jamie. 😂
I like how Jamie calls it a boring day but it's still more interesting then mine.
Omg yes!
I know right it's about 5:30pm and the on my time I've gotten out of bed was to get food
Erin Hughes so that’s why you can’t spell than
Honestly same cause like all I do is sit around
How could one alter need glasses and not others if they’re using the same eyes?
i'd love to see jake's day :')
aw heckie totally crushing on jake
Bro lowkey crushing on Jamie jesus whoami
CherryPie :D as I'm totally crushing on ed 😻
zoeisyourhomie don't let ed know.... I'm a bit scared he would dead ass beat my ass.
Joy Jenkins me too he's seems super sweet
All of you alters are so cute?? Oh my goodness??
I love how jess's husband is with all the alters. It makes me smile. I'm so happy there are people that are so open and receptive to alters. ♡
I know, right? It moves me how he accepts all sides of them.
@@everythinggirly916It's a gift.
You know Jamie's voice is so masculine that sometimes I think I'm talking to just a REALLY pretty girly boy rather than a boy in a girl's body
I fell out of my chair when Gaz said 5/7
good one
Angela Cook what is that a refrence to harry potter?
B Moore knowyourmeme.com/photos/1050963-5-7 here you go!
I enjoyed the crimping XD
LOL thank you for the reference, I was lost but now I'm laughing my ass off.
I don't get it?
OMG Daz and Jamie have the best bromance
I know right?
Gaz
I hope my system can find someone as good as Gaz who will understand and love the host (or whomever they are dating) and also understand they won't necessarily be dating all of us. (also thanks Gaz for reminding me of the 5/7 thing)
Gaz is so amazing we need more men like him in the world
What is the 5/7 thing
@@spookygirl31apparently it's a meme!
We'd never heard of it before now.
Is Jess conscious while the alters are out or does she black out?? DID is so interesting but very confusing.
Okay, it all makes sense to me now. Thank you :)
Morgan_Taylor Haines "Informal University Lecture: DID Talk" she explained that analogy.
I blackout all the time.
Jamie's boring day:
My normal day: Wakes up, RUclips, Instagram, sleeps, repeat.
Oh no Jamie, you have a doctors handwriting. ♡
(Which makes sense since you are one in the inner world )
I love how happy Jamie is to help Jess with her studies and how he encourages her 💕
Anyone else think Jaime is hot ? 😊
I don't even have to see his face but his intelligence and mannerisms are like mmmmmmmmmmm yes
Definitely.

He will love that comment! 😂 I'll pass it on!
MultiplicityAndMe, haha thank you! If he isn't aware of it yet there it goes 😂. Kinda reminds me of James McAvoy who I adoreee

I really love all of the alters, they are so fascinating and unique! I love Jamie, he is so outgoing and confident.
so how do you edit this video? do you edit as jamie or jess? how did you get all of the alters to film themselves?
When it comes to anything on the video editing side, Jake is the one who mostly carries it out.
I also heard Jess say they leave sticky notes in another RUclips video.
I know that in one video ollie talked about them leaving notes on the fridge for whoever.
Thank you so much for letting us learn so much about your world! You're all amazing human beings and I hope the best for you all!

I wish I had an alter like Jamie who could remind me about my medicine. Mine are for my epilepsy though.
found this channel a few days ago and I love it! (just as a side note, I've referred to it as 'this channel' as I don't want to refer to a 'you' or 'them' in fear of being incorrect and/ or causing offence!) :D
loved this vlog. also a question for Jake: do you refrain from coming out during school and formal occasions for fear of people noticing the change in accent or do you try to change it or do you all together just leave it be and try to explain about it to ppl when necessary?? love you
Elisha Miyahira watch "Holly and Phil chat with Jessica Clark who has DID" She explained that. (sorry english isn't my first language).
I'm bisexual too 💙💜💖
TheyCallMeJoey me too!!! 💜💙💖
TheyCallMeJoey ✋ I as well 😜
TheyCallMeJoey I'm pan :) 💖💛💙
TheyCallMeJoey 😄🌹🌹 me too
Me tooo
All the alters are wicked!!! Jamie is such an interesting person!
I cant wait to see Jake's day!
Your story is absolutely refreshing. Your positive attitude about your mental health is amazing. You are truly a role model.
i ship jed! (jamie and ed) #sorrynotsorry
they are the original #jedward :L
Well, they have a son
what do you mean by "ship" ? I don't understand.
@@angies_social87 They see Jamie and Ed as being in a relation-SHIP..which happens to be the case haha:)
Super cool.
I understand the 5 outta 7!!!!! Finally someone who understands!
Haha! I love the 5/7 reference! If you don't know, he said you're perfect.
just stumbled across this channel and it turns out Jess and I are going to the same university 🤓
Damn
Lucky.
Cool!
To Gaz's 5/7 reference, you're bloody hilarious! If they all haven't seen it yet, you should show them the post!!
Thanks for showing us your day Jamie! It's so great getting to know you all a little more!
I love that Ollie and Jamie did vlogs. I hope the rest of the boys do one too! *hint hint*
I actually wish I still wrote that way a bit, it's my natural hand!)
Okay, I'll end this long ass comment now.
5/7, perfect score. Yes, I got that reference, I'm a meme addict. :D
These videos are so fascinating, I really love them.
can you talk to Ed and Jake about having them record a day as themselves?
I really love how much Jamie chose to explain things in the event this is someones first video. Thanks dude!
:D yaaaay! Another day in the life! *^*
Jamie is a lot like my Max. He's my protector, the organised one. I'd like to think that they'd get along well. :3
Found your channel due to the miracle of RUclips algorithms. Completely new to DID. Thank you for sharing your journey, and educating people.
you should start a regular vlog (even if you think its boring lol) it'd be really interesting to watch and you bring awareness to DID quite well
I found you yesterday and I cannot stop watching you.
I'd love to see a snippet from Ed's day at some point! ;v; I'm new to this channel, but I love all of you guys already!
Also I think the creativity of your mind is just incredible. I struggle with mental illness and have no doubts that living with DID can be hell at times, but I like to believe that "disorders" can be gifts. I had read an article about Kim Noble, and artist with DID, and it's just incredible what people can imagine and create
I got excited when tje notification came up 😂😂😂
Sorry one more thing and this is for Gareth. You are the greatest most understanding and kind hearted person i have ever seen. Nothing in life is ever easy but to accept Jess with an open mind and open heart. I believe youre the closest a person can get to being an angel. I hope more people become aware and accept gifted people like jess and her boys.
Great video can't wait for more.
Wow, you are all wonderful. So much fascinating information.
Gawd I should just buy a book or take a class.
thanks guys! x
Jamie makes dad noises when he sits and I love it.
Yay! I love your videos. Very informative.
😊👍🏽
Love how awesomely open and comfortable you guys are like this!
I'm so excited to see Ed's day ^-^
Thank you for another another update and continuous posting showing your guys' life!
I looked up the song from the end and it's so catchy. I understand why it's stuck in Gaz's head
Anyone else thing Jamie and Ed's love story is fandom-worthy?
I've never clicked so fast in a video before, I could listen Jamie speak for hours and I wouldn't get bored; I would love to see Ed's history as well (and Jake's) they all look so interesting 🌹
so excited right now
You are so cool Jamie. Well all of you are cool. It is so interesting and pretty amazing to see you all interact/live in this world together. Can’t wait to see more of all of you and the rest of the amazing alters!!!
