Glad you liked it. I find pirates of the airways fascinating. The pirates are active during most holidays, you should give the band a scan from time to time. 👍❤️🏴☠️📻

They were having fun and in the spirit for Halloween. I would have done a search around to see what was going on last night, except I’ve never had any luck with the HF bands in my area. I’ve lived in two apartments since moving to Rochester, New York, and haven’t had luck in neither of them.
Sorry to hear about the poor conditions in your area. Maybe you could get a portable shortwave with SSB and go to a park away from city noise. Happy DXing! 👍
That was cool! In the 45+ years I've been listening, I've never caught a pirate station on HF....back in the 70's it was common on the FM broadcast band however...sad part is, is his message is true and as that crook would say...that's no joke! Whats your source for the image at 3:10...I like! Nice looking SW for your SDR....one day Id like to see more of your antenna farm other then a quick peek on the desktop. :) 73's my favourite geek and thanks! ~Jack, VEG
I just did a google image search for pirate radio and picked some photos. Halloween is a big shortwave pirate time. Most other holidays like Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Some frequencies are 6925khz , 6950khz. I like the SDR because you can see a big chunk of the radio spectrum at one time. Thanks for watching, glad you liked it. ❤️🏴☠️📻
Wow! That's awesome! Never heard one! Thanks for sharing it!

Great catch. Have heard that before. Plenty of medium wave pirates as well here in Europe
Thanks! It’s a lot of fun tuning the bands in search of pirates. 👍
The speaker is Jello Biafra.
The actual track including Iron Man in the background is from an album by Ice-T: ruclips.net/video/lMQHVzSPTec/видео.html

I often hear spanish two way radio traffic in that spectrum
I have also pick up Spanish two way radio traffic in the same area. Radio is so much fun isn’t it?! ❤️📻

Nice catch. I worked the club's museum Saturday, and forgot to scan below 40 meters (where these usually pop-up). Thanks for sharing!
Shortwave pirates are a lot of fun to find. Glad you enjoyed it. Take care. 👍❤️📻

I remember a pirate on 6955 in about 1998 that was playing gangster rap that you wouldn’t ever hear on licensed radio. It was called KBLK.
