@oOoironhideoOo if they don't put the massive V10 in it, it won't be a Viper. And the italians certainly aren't known for their small non-superfluous engines... 7.3L pagani Zonda, 6.5L Aventador, 6L Diablo, etc... The Viper V10 is one of the only engines that is easily capable of pushing well over 1,000hp with little effort. It also manages over 20mpg on the highway.
@limpkit2011 Its quite common actually. Cruise control is for a steady speed which requires no change of gear. Even an automatic car with cruise control will remain in the gear its in, until you break or disengage cruise control.
Seriously jake... "only 600 HP" :eyeroll: The V10 is meant to be upgraded and can safely go over 700+ hp without having to tear apart the engine and with forged rods and pistons added, the engine can handle over 1500 HP and not have to be rebuilt every few months or be tuned all the time. Hom many other super cars can you say that about. Also, last I checked the Viper GTSR is a multiple LeMans and GT2 winning platform when they were allowed to use the V10, beating out Porsche, Mercedes and other european brands from '95 onward.
@CTSV4MEE 6L is a bit more reasonable if we're talking of over 220MP/H cars, with 0-60 times barely in the 3 sec range, pretty close to the 2 sec range, as the Aventador and Zonda do. As you pointed out, they're V12 engines, that means that they have 2 more cylinders to fill with petrol, and they're still over a liter under the displacement of the Viper's engine; not to mention the insane RPM band that they have. Anyhow, i just hope that on italian hands the Viper will get its proper tech.
@Jazz Cat You completely missed the point of my reply. There's lots of people who think just because a car is a manual it doesn't have or can't have cruise control. And your statement isn't true. Dodge built the Viper as a modern day Cobra not because they thought only wealthy people would track them. They were hoping people would track them but they knew most would be regulated to street use...
@@AutoYoung I never said ONLY wealthy people would buy them. I said that they thought wealthy people would buy them to race them. Others can buy them too. Also a Viper manager confirms that they thought they would be purchased mostly to race and mostly by rich peeps in a video online. I think it was the one with Jay Leno. To be fair.....only someone who is rich CAN buy one of these. Prices have never gone down much like a used Vette.
i had a tour of the manufacturing plant there is about 10 ppl that build the car in total. Really cool car and great experience there
That is a beautiful thing. Thanks for sharing that.
Great car, nice presentation, Tony.
Best looking car in human existence!

That's a beauty.
This 12 year old video just came up in my video feed.........I have owned this specific Viper for 2 years now! What are the chances? lol
how much i want it.
Great channel mate.
All rear wings are removable
what exhaust system is on the car?
It uses the throttle just like an automatic, only difference is it cant change gears so you can't expect it to take great inclines and down grades

@@AutoYoung Dodge thought rich dudes were going to buy these to only race them and they would not be driven daily or in general.

it was 2:05 there
1969 GTO
hopefully, the new viper (in italian hands) wont have an superfluous 8.4L engine ... thats just insane ...
Hes joking... you dont know more than him either.
u have a dry sice of humor
*humor
only americans can only manage to get 600hp from an 8.4 litre! completely unnecessary!
There's European cars with less horse power and a V12 engine, so what's your point?
