Yasin is one of the leading figures of the Stockholm-based gang known as Shottaz. As of 2018 Shottaz have been tried for 330 crimes. Shottaz are in a violent conflict with the rival gang Dödspatrullen (The Death Patrol) which started after a robbery in 2015. Around 20 or so people from both gangs have been killed during the conflict, with an unknown amount of civilian casualties. Most of these murders are still unresolved and have been labeled as cold cases by swedish police.
