Each school of thought has its own way of perceiving things. But, time and memorial, majority of the school of philosophies agreed that it started from God and will end in God, and our goal is no different from it. The device and the goal are the same. The ultimate goal is to be free from our long time good and bad deeds, and go to a place (you may call it Vaikunta, Goloka, Shivaloka, any other place as per your understanding) which is a pure sattvic (suddha sattva), free of sorrows (paramananda), never coming back, and engage in the service of the lord forever.

I don't consider Mr. Jaggi a guru for several reasons but staying on context, yes, you should visit the Kumbh Mela, Mahakumbh this year. Yes, you will see the whole of India there, another level, certainly what the educated Indian misses today. No language barrier, no religion barrier(believe me), no caste barrier...surreal. So the logic of the mind which is creating your reality (dual...hot/cold) is starting to break as you do these rituals.
