Hey James, I have tasted the LavAzza brand before a few times actually, and to be honest, have never been impressed with the espresso's flavor. I always found the flavor to be way on the mild side and nothing to speak of. Recently I have been roasting my own beans which is not only very easy but rather inexpensive as well. I buy the beans from small independent farmers which I buy off of a popular website. As for wine now, I will be reviewing the 2014 Padis, Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley. I ended up getting two bottles for $100. I have read great things about the wine so I hope I feel the same about it. Have a great day man.
When you say it tastes of graphite...I think you mean cedar. That's the kind of wood that surrounds a graphite pencil. When you sharpen a graphite pencil, you are smelling the fragrant cedar wood - not the graphite (which doesn't really smell).

My favorite grocery store big bag of coffee. Much better than other Lavazza. Im can only find it here in Winnipeg, Canada at Canadian Tire, lol!

Sure--I take their roasting in terms of American style coffee v. espresso. For espesso I like their Gran Espresso.
