Eleesium they won semis with the highest score in boa ever. They performed first for finals and got screwed over by the judges having to lowball them because they were so early on. This is why we have to top half bottom half rule now.
@@deltaphoenix8616 the performance order in finals has the bottom half in score perform first (randomized within that group) and the top half perform second (randomized within that group) so basically for grand nats the people who placed 7-12 perform in spots 1-6 and the bands who placed 1-6 perform in spots 7-12
Texas is coming back to Grand Nats even stronger than last year. Leander, CTJ Cedar Park, Reagan, and Bowie. Cannot wait to see how they show how good Texas marching band is, again. Texas is coming for that eagle
jaewon hwang Lmao probably because they actually put money on these guys. If I heard that this program was the one best, who wouldn't want to join something worth while? Maybe their recruiting is really good as well, and they are a 6A school (meaning there are a lot of feeder schools that go to that school).
Very good, but they finished where they should have. Best music ensemble. Not best GE or visual though. The guard unis are a train wreck, the guard proper- very good.
Ehhhh... Broken Arrow was better. BA may not have been quite as impressive as Hebron musically, but BA had an extremely hard show with an overall demand where no other band came that close.
+pumpkin462 To each their own. BA show was good, but I like Hebron's more. Both their shows were musically demanding, but Hebron did a better job executing. Good job to both bands!
This entire video was about how to these bands it isn't about winning, it's about doing their best. And you decide to comment with a subjective opinion about their show? Seriously you don't get what band is about, not winning, but performing. Who cares who had the better show, both had great shows!
+Alexander S. (AlphaAxle) It is and I agree... For the performers. For us watching at home and are simply spectators, the scoring/ winning and losing is just part of the game. Beating someone should not be the purpose for a band member on the field, but is entertaining for us keeping score at home.
Matched grip makes sense. The traditional grip originated when drums were tilted so people could play their snare drum more comfortably. But, things change over time, as does music. First, it makes the transition between middle school and high school easier, because it takes out the long process of learning the traditional grip. It also automatically provides a more consistent hand to hand sound quality, which is something that takes awhile to develop when first learning traditional. A long with that, it makes the transition between concert percussion (specifically concert snare, but others apply) and marching percussion more smooth.
As one of the Sousaphones in this show, I come back to this everyday and I smile everytime.
Bro you got a nice hat
Hebron's oboe player is first in the state of Texas
best band there! loved Hebron!
Agree with Best Band there
Gives me goosebumps every time I see this show!
congrats, Mr. Sealy! -Your Monahans flute/piccolo student 1989-94!
These guys where the real winners of Grand Nats. There show was way more entertaining than BA's
Difference between entertaining and overall accurate w/ everything they do.
Noah Agree to disagree 😂

@@ethanortiz885 what's that rule?

every time I watch this I cry remembering this experience omg
What an amazing performance! Gave me chills.
Im so proud of them
I wonder how high Flower Mound would've placed if they were on rotation instead.
W
Herbon is the best - we love this stuff - kids, parents, directors....everyone is all in, all the time - band motto!
Go Hawks!

I missed it for us by a year, lol I really wanted to go I'm in the same district as Hebron and we go on rotation.
Kinda sucks but at least we have San antonio
Honestly I don't know how the fuck we beat them with that show
Vidal Rodriguez dude we've gotten it a lot in the past. L.d. bell used to win all the time and the woodlands won in 2013
our band is invited to go this year and im so excited!!
That's nice for their uniforms to have blue gloves
i wish i went to hebron
When they play pegasus better than our concert band...
In about 4 years their drumline went from match to traditional
They went through like 3 percussion directors
Why do these bands keep on getting bigger? Like is 200 not enough?

Anyone know the name of the song with the Oboe solo?

+Alexander S. (AlphaAxle) true but the reason the kids work so hard is so they can win and perform their best show.
Why matched grip?
because its easier
+Jamis Coates traditional looks 1000x better
yes, i agree. although its not really practical so that's probably why these guys use matched.

It's just a choice that the directors want to make. Our drumline uses matched as well.
