Always always always gotta carry the gun. 2000rds can’t pass that up. Would love to see you do more simulator battles. It’s som much fun once you get used to how a sim game goes. Ccrp isn’t too bad in the F111 if your in standard cockpit sight and you point the center of the crosshairs on the the bases all you gotta do is watch till the timer semi circle hits the left side. The F111 is better to just carry a few middles just as a selfdefense measure when you force and over shoot once you know it’s an enemy. Hunting down fighters isn’t the best way. It’s also really good in a counter Bomber role too. Also you definitely gotta set a keybind for Toggle SAS mode it’s extremely helpful because it makes flying much better as it will keep you auto level altitude, dampin the forces on the aircraft, or have it in full manual control
It needs its ground attack radar and tfr as well. Look up the f-111 weapon system video on RUclips and you’ll get an idea of just how useful it’s attack radar could be.
This is probably the best bomb truck in sim, but it remains a bomb truck. Not much else it can do. In my opinion bringing a gun is poinbtless, you cna bring a couple missiles for self defense or in case you do a 2v1 with an ally, but that's it...otherwise, best to stay hidden , hit the base and rush home. Not a fighter in the slightest, I'm slaughtering these things with ease especially with radar missiles.
What happens is that people like me with the viggen would climb up towards you and send a very angry Skyflash right into you face, so going fast means only slamming faster into the missile. Thanks to sim farmers I can now enjoy doing true air to air bomber interceptions
It won’t work. I specifically intercept bombers in sim and unless you hug the deck and only pop up high to bomb I’ll catch you very fast.you’re not the fastest plane at that br range in sim .
Hey Mat how make to work drop bomb series command when selected weapon mode on? Mine telling me it is blocked by active weapon selector but I need to select it for change riple quantity on flyby. Thx anyway for your videos I am waiting you be a wt partner near future o7
This was a change made in the last update I think. If you have selected secondary so that you can choose a ripple quantity, you won’t be able to use the ‘drop series’ command. The ripple selection has options for 2, 4, 8 and 16 munitions followed by an ‘S’ mode that drops/fires munitions in rapid sequence. The drop series command uses the series size you have selected in the pre-game screen (where you choose loadout etc). You have to exit the select secondary weapon mode to use the drop series command.
I think I see what you mean. Mat looks to be using the ripple quantity selector to select 8 bombs. When using the ripple selector mode the bombs (or rockets if carried/selected) actually come off all in one go, each time you command release, for the amount you select. It was 8 bombs Mat used in this case, shown by the [8], he looked to cycle it from [4] and could have cycled it on again for an overkill [16]. Use of the term ripple is confusing, as munitions actually come off in one go, not a ripple. Unless you use the ‘S’ ripple setting when munitions are released one after the other as long as commanded. From Mat‘s map view that he flashes to, you can see the ‘bomb series’ is disabled. This is another way of releasing bombs only all in one go for the amount you select. I’ve found no other way of selecting bomb series apart from when selecting your loadout before an air sim takeoff. Hope that hits your question!
honestly this thing is very fun to just bomb with in sim (if you enjoy that sort of gameplay), my main loadout is full fuel, 2x aim9, 25 750lb and a cannon. also it only needs 7x 750lb bombs to kill a base
my loadout is 13 750lb bombs (2 6x 750lb and 1 750lb in bomb bay), a cannon, drop tanks, 45 minutes of fuel and 2 AIM-9B. Yes you can destroy only 1.8 bases but you don't feel like a obese redditor (drop tanks, after 5-6 mins of flight, you know, DROPPING and you have around 10 minutes to kill anything on map) and you actually can take a fight against fighters. Full tank just makes you too slow for dogfight imo.
