Great vid, i rlly wanna see or even do more of this with wt sim. Also a little known tip with flares; it's a good idea to get your flares as 'inbetween' your aircraft and the incoming missile as possible. I know its not always possible to do, but if theyre coming out the side or even the back of your aircraft in relation to the missiles FOV, then they'll be less effective or not at all, as they'll already be out of the FOV before they'll have time to distract it. i don't know, but im willing to bet they teach these sorts of tactics to actual pilots, which is why you rarely see real fighter pilots employ complex countermeasures tactics in videos about DCS and the like. Im probably wrong about that though- I just find it cool that a game as simple as war thunder can teach you these sortsa things!
I’m aware, picked up on it watching a breakdown on missile mechanics by Zataris not that long ago - he mentioned some missiles having a smaller FOV and it making them more susceptible to flares. I had no chance in that Draken scenario either way I think lol
@@Bullet4MyEnemy Sweden's tree is still pretty small (27? aircraft), and their J21's are absolute bonkers (the prop ones, the jets are meh). IIRC I blew through all the swedish air tree in less than two weeks (albeit in RB for the props because it's more efficient than SB). 10/10 Would recommend
This video is awesome! I admittedly stick to Arcade but Sim is amazing to watch, especially seeing the coordination between everyone. And your squadmate's "Fox-1" at 11:55 was so satisfying
Am I playing the same war thunder? My plane is all wibbly wobbly while all of your planes fly straight as a bullet. Is there some kind of joystick sorcery going on?
Are you aware of SAS mode? It’s in the first block of air controls under full real. The Phantoms, as well as a few other jets and all the helis, have a stability mode that can dampen controls and auto level the aircraft. Helis and Phantoms reaallllllyyyy need SAS (stability augmentation system) to be pleasantly flyable. Without it the Phantoms can just fuck off, that constant positive pitch below ~.7 Mach is aggravating as fuck and makes rolling horrible too. Bind a key and enjoy.
TeaRex It really is a pain in the arse, I hate the radar stuff being part of the screen UI as well. I have in my head you’re in Aus? Might be totally wrong but I always thought the time zones wouldn’t match up.
Do you play on Pc? I’ve been tryin to find people to fly in a phantoms with. I’ve got the US tree pretty much fully unlocked and most spaded. And then got Germany on the fighter and interceptor trees down to the early jets like their me262 and mig15
I have a PS4 account but I moved to PC, any videos you find from more than 9 months ago will be recorded on PS4 before I got my PC, headtracking etc I used to use my phone for discord so couldn’t record comms but yeah, when there’s a will there’s a way lol
@@Sean-cn2go I’m grinding out the Jags at the minute, had the Skyhawk for a while but didn’t think ground pounding in air battles was that interesting - it’s hard to make work in ground sim because it only gets into the 10.7 games and the heli and Tunguska spam are super hard to deal with. I’ll see if any of the squad want to do some stuff with them, squad comms will probably make it more interesting to watch.
Would love to fly with you my friend, I have full American tech tree unlocked and I’m really trying to learn sim. It would be fucking awesome to kick ass and learn from you. Reply if interested. Thanks man!

jesus. That draken at the end nearly made jump out of my seat. Good flying.
What can I say? Definitely Pure Art! .. Thank you for the nice video Bullet :)

I always watch Bullet videos guys, this guy is elite in Sim battles 👌
The audible confusion from your squad during our fight had me grinning. :D Gotta love that Draken.

War Thunder is one-of-a-kind!
It's five games in one! I honestly cannot fault it since it has no cost.
one of the best sim videos ive seen so far, good stuff continue like this
Pretty sweet fly out. The Draken danse is something :D

I want to try it out but I don’t have the time to grind the tree ☹️

It was nice I caught it in the recording, I didn’t actually realise he was on screen when he launched as it happened 👌🏼
beautiful takeoff

Cool shit, I'd love to see your thoughts on fixed wing GF Sim CAS.
Did a video covering it pretty recently, third most recent I think.
Lovely content =)

Got it all for DCS but am yet to find the time to get stuck into it.
Are you using VR or eyetracker?
