I took delivery of my Ather 450x today...and drove it from Kochi to Thrissur (79.2km) in eco mode. 15km of range was still available which sums up to a total of 94 km range ..super happy with performance..and wrap mode is insane

The biggest leap in tech, that is going to happen in the recent future will be in battery technology. Batteries of today are limited by three main factors - Charging Speed, Range and hazardous to the environment. Batteries that charge very very quickly ( 5 - 10 mins), that can be used for longer (range) and also environment friendly are under devolepment. This will change our world as we know it. Just imagine what it could do for mobility alone. It will remove all the complexity, we have come to associate with cars or vehicles in general. Large manufacturers of today, will bite the dust, because in future, it will be open architecture. I repeat, battery tech with AI will redefine mobility as we know it. Guys, imagine, battery powered skates. It will allow us to avoid the infamous traffic jams in Cochin area 😃

That analogy of filling a bucket with tap water to charging a battery beyond 90% was simply mind blowing I was always curious why does a battery charges slow beyond 90%. Thank you guys 👍🏼
The main reason is that,the maximum voltage upto to which a Li ion cell can be charged is 4.3V. Initially(battery voltage may be two point something) battery is charged with a constant current supply,thus voltage across the cell increases gradually and reach 4.2V (nearly 80% of state of charge).So if we continue to charge the cell with the same constant current supply mode,the voltage across the cell increases more than 4.2V, but it will damage due to overvoltage. So in oder to tackle this problem after 80% of charge the cell is charge with a constant voltage supply of 4.2V Constant current charging much faster compared to constant voltage charging,thats why we could charge the battery much faster upto 80%

ARAI figures is a similar joke in case of petrol or diesel cars as well. I drive Vento TSI and MG ZS EV. In case of Vento ARAI rating is 16kmpl. With full tank of 55l I should get 880km, where as I get 11kmpl in good conditions which makes it 605.km. In MG I get 260 - 280, so deviations from arai figures are similar in both cases.

Google northway motors. Saw a video about them creating electric conversion kits for swift and they also support kits for e2o

ARAI figures is a similar joke in case of petrol or diesel cars as well. I drive Vento TSI and MG ZS EV. In case of Vento ARAI rating is 16kmpl. With full tank of 55l I should get 880km, where as I get 11kmpl in good conditions which makes it 605.km. In MG I get 260 - 280, so deviations from arai figures are similar in both cases.
