You know I was so excited to find it and had it shipped 1000 miles, I went through everything but the forks. I took it out for a ride got 50 yards and new I would sell it? The DR650 has spoiled me so bad that I couldn't wait to put it on Craigslist. It sold the first week. I broke even and learned a lesson. Hah! Just crazy!
I LOVE the old style of these bikes. Every time I see one I want one. Don't care which brand, really. I'm just a little scared I wouldn't be able to find parts!
Old Suzuki's are really not too bad on getting parts depending on the model. No shortage of the old TC/TC Suzuki Enduro parts. The TS250 should be back on the road next week. I got distracted with a DR650 that needed a new home.
I also have this exact bike, it was sitting in my dads garage for 13 years not run. It belonged to a family friend who passed away. I’m in the process of restoring it, this Bike is a definite keep. Mine is also the orange , however mine also has the green pinstripes along the front and rear fenders
Very cool, I like the orange the best but the green was in all the magazines at the time. I regret selling mine but I had to down size, too many bikes, working on a 1973 TS185 to sell next. Thanks for watching, I'd love to see a picture. Verbalwidget @ instagram, verbalwidget @ gmail.com.
Verbal Widget do you have an email I can send it to? I have some pictures when it was stuck in the garage, but I will definitely send photos after it’s done. This is my first bike and I plan to keep it
@@aaronmalcolm8890 Hi Aaron, I received the pictures, thank you, great looking bike all original. Those original fenders are hard to get and pricy, good you can repair it. If I could make one suggestion, and I have restored lots of bikes. I would take all the black metal pieces, Frame, fork clamps, swingarm, battery box etc and let a powder coating place sand blast them and powder coat them too. I use to sand and use stripper and I learned powder coating did better and looked better. saved me a lot of time. just a suggestion from an old guy. Very nice bike.
That is Strange? Sold the Green and white Ford a few months ago. It was great in snowy Oregon, but in AZ I never used the 4wd in 2 years and got a smaller truck that is better for commuting. Love the old style Fords!
Had a 78 TS250 in high school. I miss all my old antique bikes. That's a nice example you have there. There's something about those two strokes man. If you take the time to learn port mapping you can really wake them up with a little port work. If i remember correct, the TM 250 cylinder and pipe would fit the TS and really give it some shizazz with it's more aggressive port timing. Maybe I'll get lucky and find an original TS in a barn somewhere
Yes the old 2 stroke enduro are great, I rode a 1972 TS250 to school and work and had a ball. That bike never let me down. I did do a video on cleaning up the ports on that same bike. It ran great when done. But I am in a downsizing mode and sold it. Yes the TM250 cylinders would work, You had to use the 1972/73 years because in 1974/75 the changed the angle of the exhaust port and the pipe would not line up. I actually bought a TM250 cylinder for the bike but never got to play with it. Thank you for watching.
I have a Yellow 1973 Suzuki TS185 I'm finishing up then selling It has the factory hop up kit. They came in Blue and Yellow in 1973. Great bikes. First bike at 14 was a 1972 TC90 Suzuki 8 speed duel range transmission. I have one just like that one in my Kitchen??
@@verbalwidget7267 1974 and when I traded it in in 1975 it was the fastest 250 Sippins cycles had ever seen. course it had daily chain cleaning etc type of maintenance.and golden spectro oil use always, the joys of working at a gas station at night was it was a 8 hr detailing session between gas customers. enjoy your new bike its a sweet heart.
Where did you get the parts for your ts250 I'm having trouble here in Elkins wv finding parts and there aren't many sites that I can find any help is appreciated
I second ebay, just got a new steering stem and it fitted perfectly. Just make sure to double check the parts. ts250r is different than a ts250k and it's that small of a difference that varies everything
I ~LOVE~ those older bikes. Count yourself lucky to have accomplished such a find.

Verbal Widget I sent those pictures in the email. I started cleaning it up and took off the front fender to repair it. So far so good

This is so weird, I own a '71 and a 94 ford pickup. Love the color of your truck!

I have one identical to this. The fenders are faded too.
Very Cool, they are neat old bikes, as a teenager I rode mine to school, work and trails. Never missed a beat.
@@verbalwidget7267 my dads friend bought one in 73 brand new. He rode it every now and then. I now have his bike and it’s still dead reliable.

What ever happened to this bike it disappears off your video page?
I believe there’s a video on it but I sold it.
Suzuki power great stuff
Hey Matt, Thanks for watching. Love the old Suzuki's. And the newer ones too.
